There isn't any metagaming and you can see the weapons in the footwell of the vehicle. That would be an example of powergaming (Doing something you cannot actually do in game to give yourself an advantage - the generally gone by definition). It doesn't break Fail RP, nor is it metagaming. In the same way that reading someones license to check to see if car is rented etc. isn't powergaming because it is something which can be done in game. Yes if this becomes something the police regularly do then the way Rebels respond to a traffic stop may change but afak there isn't anything wrong with checking the license(And lets be real if you are pulled over and they want to restrain and search you for your license this is normally the que to flee)
