So basically the server is going to be opened with the full rules and stuff this thursday/friday and wipe?Will the wipe be only building or also BP,whenever it will be?

Ok most people know that I love playing rust, I have been looking into the wipe system, when the next wipe is etc and when the next BP wipe is, after looking around we expected their to be a wipe today but according to rustafied, their will not be a rust wipe map or BP today, instead their will be a full wipe both map and BP next thursday, as this is when they plan to bring out the new XP system, for those that do not know what the XP system is, from what I gather it is not going to be a BP system, in fact their will be no learning of any type, it will be a level system you will gain xp from building, mining hunting etc, the more xp the higher the level the higher the level the better things you can build, this should come into place on Thursday 5th May.

I hope this helps, it kind of ruined my current run on rust as we used up all our resources learning BP's.

 
I'm just waiting for it, can't wait :D it will prolong the early stages.

But then the game becomes easymode........... part of the game needs to be a challenge........

New eat/drink sounds
New flamethrower sounds
Fixed gradual ambience performance degradation bug
Fixed coroutine leak in entity particle emission
Optimized building block despawns some more
Fixed another performance issue when looking at players
Fixed tree culling performance issue caused by wind
Optimized UI variable display code
Adjusted grass LODing (less upscaling on lower LODs)
Updated player preview idle
Added wave displacement to water quality level 1
Limited shadow distance to 50 when shadow cascades are disabled
Icesheet prefabs use LOD grid
Fixed horizon sky / water blending
Improved aerial perspective density computation
Added shadowmode convar to adjust sun shadow casting
Sun shadows disable completely when shadow distance is set to 0
Added additional procgen benchmarks
Procgen benchmarks reset GC, LODs, grass, decor and tasks before every run
Stripped legacy fog modes from shader compilation and scenes
Fixed that the door animation was stopped one frame too early
Fixed regression that sometimes skipped entity linking when building
Fixed entities not sending slot updates when server side changes are made
Made perf convar display async task queue when set to 6
Server restart command calls quit command after the timer reaches 0
Fixed missing ignite and extinguish icons on small furnace
Slightly higher starting calories
Fixed flames doing less damage to objects when sitting on stone/metal
Map cost reduced to 1 paper
Fixed water barrels not blocking building
Fixed water bucket having drink as default option (impossible to deselect)
Fixed being able to transfer water into an unheld bucket

Please note, this is not the "mega update" due next week.

 
personally with stack sizes to keep our vanilla ish theme you can start creating huge stack sizes, but doubling all the stack sizes should improve it without ruining everything.

 
With stack increase its just a convenience thing, for example 10k wood will still take same time to chop but instead of 10 stacks of 1k you would have 1 stack of 10k.

 
having large stack sizes changes the dynamic of the game, the whole way people build bases changes as you could fit into 1 box the same as what you would need 10 box for as it is now.

I agree with fuel, it does make you think and plan a bit better when you can only fit a small amount in each slot. In end game it can be frustrating, but you just have to manage storage areas better. :)

 
I am loving the Rust server just bought the game and there are so many helpful people playing :)

 
good day everyone, just have an update on the upcoming update, my previous post stated this Thursday will be a full wipe, with switching over to the new XP system, this has been delayed for a further month, so Thursday 5th May will only be a map wipe, no BP wipe, and the xp system is now scheduled for next month, so carry on with the BP grind.

Thank for the no BP I had loads of them I love the rust server thanks for the news buddy :)

 
Yeah BP wipe would have maybe been annoying, thanks for keeping it just a map wipe :)

 
See i like rust but everytime i play it,i get merkt by some dudes with assualt rifles or they raid & destroy the base that took me forever to build just for the fun of it,Ive experienced so many griefers lol

Can we get a RP Rust Server?

I know the feeling mate. I came back to rust after a good year and lots has changed, it is much harder to grief now if you build in stone and plan well. 
 

The server is being targeted towards strong RP and not shoot on sight etc, but I expect there will still be raids, join one of the villages and you'll likely be more safe :)
