I know the feeling mate. I came back to rust after a good year and lots has changed, it is much harder to grief now if you build in stone and plan well. 
 

The server is being targeted towards strong RP and not shoot on sight etc, but I expect there will still be raids, join one of the villages and you'll likely be more safe

I'm all for pvp,just hate when griefers target newer players before they can get a start.The villige thing is why i wish we had a RoK server,they Crest & class assignment(Blacksmith,lord,knight etc..) is awsome.We need to get a city built & start a government with a standing armed force that seeks to spread it's influence through diplomacy(Talking people into joining under the government rule) or force(obvious) similiar to the way Eve & the Factions conflict for territory and rulership,plus other Soverign governments could form & via for power,plus Freedom Fighters,it would be awsome though i have a feeling thegovernment would be monarchy or a dictatorship,maybe a so called "Peoples Republic" like China or N Korea lol
