Identity Changes:
We think it is worth clarifying this individually because it is slightly difficult to understand.
- Fingerprints are now different. When the police fingerprint you, they are no longer getting your name and citizen ID; they now get your Fingerprint Identifier. This fingerprint identifier can be used on the PNC to write reports, add notes, and add markers, very similar to your Citizen ID PNC profile. However, your fingerprint will never automatically link to your Citizen ID. The police are required to put in the work to try and find out WHO that fingerprint links to. They can link them on the PNC, and warrants will then link between your fingerprints and citizen ID profile, but these links are always assumed, and the police will always be guessing to link you to your Citizen ID Profile.
Below explains what is on the Fingerprint Profile and the Citizen ID Profile.
- The reason Citizen ID Profiles are so useful (and why the police will want to link your fingerprints to a Citizen ID) is because the Citizen ID profile gives them all your LEGAL information, such as your house number and vehicles.
PNC Changes:
- General Changes
Removed Patrol Hours Tab
- Added Public Reports Tab For Solicitors
- Added Legislation Tab For Police & Courts
Ability To View All Legislation On The Server And Search Through It In a Table Format

[*]Updated Report Search

- Search Now Tells Players What They Are Searching By Based On The Search Query EG "Finding results for Fingerprint ..."
[*]Fingerprint & Citizen ID Identities are separate and the data does not link.
Police can link a Fingerprint to a Citizen id, and it will appear on the fingerprint page, although this is always an assumption and a link can NEVER be guaranteed.

Notes:
Today, we are releasing one of the biggest meta-changing updates. Today has been a long time coming, with over 1000+ hours of development, meetings and brainstorming sessions. With the changes today, we are changing the direction of RP which we want to see on our server. We have seen for several months that players are more cautious about the value of their item rather than the impact it will have on their character. This update will allow for a gradual change of mentality, and those who play the server just for the gun fights with no willingness to change will disappear from the server. We understand the fear that people will instantly have; it's completely understandable as it's a change from what we know. However, this has been a long and thought-out process, so please have faith in us. This update will enable people to make smarter choices with their weapons, which will ultimately force characters to make better choices, which will result in fewer no-interaction shootouts and a massive improvement in RP as a whole. This update does not remove all your hard work, so do not fear that we are removing all your efforts and time. No, your weapons do not disappear after one or two days, so do not worry. We are not monsters. We have ensured the length of time is fair and balanced.
We are shifting to a whole new way of thinking from all sides of the server, from Police to Criminals. Once you do play the server and experience it and have some feelings or suggestions, please ensure it's constructive and move it towards the following thread:
Any completely toxic behaviour or shitting will result in punishments for those. You can express how you feel in a constructive way, and we will be sure to hear you out.
Q&A:
Q1: "Will I lose all my hard-earned progress?"
A1: No, we've taken measures to ensure that those who had weapons prior to this update won't be negatively impacted. We've introduced ways to maintain your weapons and gear to keep them in top condition. While all weapons have an expiration date, it's set far in the future, so there's no need to worry.
Q2: "How does durability work?"
A2: As mentioned earlier, all weapons have an expiration date, but this can be influenced by how frequently you use the weapon without proper maintenance.
Q3: "Why introduce durability in the first place?"
A3: Currently, some members on the server are more focused on items than their roleplaying characters. We aim to shift this mindset. This change encourages players to prioritize their character's development over their items. Items are important for progression, but they shouldn't be the sole reason to log in daily. This update opens up exciting opportunities for roleplay situations and transforms the gun trade dynamic.
Q4: "It's too easy to lose items like guns and hospital access. Will this change?"
A4: Yes, we've heard your concerns and taken them to heart. We've reduced the likelihood of losing weapons even further with this update.
Q5: "I dislike this update, and no one requested it. I want something else from the development team."
A5: We understand your frustration, but we're making decisions we believe are best for the server. We've worked hard on unique and exciting features for this update, and while not everything may align with individual preferences, we'll continue to prioritize constructive feedback and improvements.
Q6: "Is this update biased towards the police? Is the server becoming police-centric?"
A6: This update isn't exclusively for the police; it's a meta-update that impacts various aspects of the server. The criminal update is being rolled out in sections, and this is just one part of it. We're committed to balancing content for all players.
Q7: "What's next in the criminal update after this?"
A7: We don't want to spoil all the surprises, but we still have the food update, groups and territories update, and more exciting features to come. Stay tuned for what's in store!
