i think we should make the whole of kavala a safe zone therefore when the new players spawn at kavala they can take time to get used to what everything means without having the risk of getting robbed of apples. @PC JammalCammal

I could do a poll for the deterioration of police roleplay. Every time I go on police holiday or play as a civilian 75% of my interactions with the police are rule breaks, violation of police rules or just plain shit. I could say that and then claim it is getting far worse by the week.

That will clearly rustle some jimmies and kick off a storm. I am not lying when I say ATLEAST half of my civ/rebel interactions with police are shit/rule breaks/police rule breaks. I could say the same for rebels when I encounter them as cops.

Too many posts focusing on the bad are appearing in the last two weeks and not enough commenting on the good, must be because it's human to remember and focus on the bad right?

Its quite demoralising to read these dramatising forum posts that are all talk, no evidence and no means of constructive criticism with intent to actually implement improvement on the game servers.

Funnily enough most of these pills/posts/topics are posted by cops.

Take a step back in the next situation you are in and look at it from the other players perspective and take the wider view.

THIS <3 Half the police have the rulebook so far up their anus that they forget this is a game. They dismiss roleplay as they have a loser complex. As they are the police and are in power they roleplay to make themselves win. Not to reason, or negotiate. I have a written list of police I will sit and roleplay with because I know I'll have fun and a list of people I will just try and stay away from or run away from if need be.

If I was a police and liked roleplay this is the last thing I would want.

admmitly i did fail title i should of made it ways to improve roleplay thats my fault i havent been playing the past couple wweks so i dont the know the current meta of rp recently with my self to blame being away but its more to see how people would like to this improve i love this community it the best rp community arounned i want to see it further improve it self but i sse so many ruasled jiimy i understand your point but as i said i want to see this community bettr improves its self

the main reason is to see what the community wants thats why i have 2 question to help better understand what people want and may be create more roleplay deas for jobs such a eddie stobart or somthing along those lines may be by editing the delvery misson this could be possible but i dont know but i will try when i get back to do this

I need to do the same, most police are nice guys who enjoy roleplay but some are just horrible. For example had a situation where my friends were being sent to prison for killing somebody who was robbing their house. The police officer in charge blatantly ignored any of our reasonings as to why we killed a man despite us having proof they were robbers. Was just really frustrating to deal with when if this was dealt by somebody else the outcome would have been a lot different and a lot more enjoyable.

Since I started playing around a year ago it has improved a lot.

When I started off there was a lot of hands up or die and count down. Nowerdays that's bannable and I don't see it as often.

maybe if you look very recently like in the past few months it may of gone back down slightly, but on a larger scale overall I would say RP over the server has improved.

This is very true , back in the TI / TCK / GC days there was gun fights 24/7 and the roleplay was terrible.

Well, there's still the police encounters which suck sometimes. Yesterday I was driving in my gocart and a SGT walked up to me. He asked if he could try it and I let him.

When he came back and jumped out he said "I'm gonna scrap it" and he went on to scrap it straight away, not even roleplaying him calling the scrapyard or anything. We did resolve it, but he pretty much said "It's scrap on site, so I don't need to roleplay it"

I know there's horrible civilian roleplay aswell, but whitelisted roles should be above the average new civilian.

Hahaha its so true , there are some very scrap happy cops who never give good RP.

Then that cop shouldn't be the rank they are, if it is as black and white as you say they should be PC/PCSO for two weeks before even being considered to go back up to SGT.

Honestly, from when I joined, the whole of 2015 was a pisstake, which went up again now in 2016, and went down to 2015-level around april to august. now it is decent. however, i really miss the roleplay and interaction people had during the autumn in 2014

but whitelisted roles should be above the average new civilian.
I completely agree, whitelisted roles are for many the standard of the server, if it is shit, then most likely the server is shit. (RP wise) However, it is everyones role to be above the average in the community :) And when it comes to the police officer, you should go to police command even though if it have been resolved, as that person should in my eyes be kicked from the police or demoted.

While we are all sharing experiences, yesterday we were all standing outside the Church in Kavala in a group of two UNMC and a few other random civs and rebels. no weapons no suspicious activity. we were all talking about stuff when the pc on scene decided for us all to put our hands on our heads. why? because it was an illegal area. he was clearly out numbered so we ignored him under the premis that we were doing nothing wrong and we even owned property in the area which was why we were there, which we all tried to explain to him. my colleague decided to cross the street as per the pc's request.

after a brief period of our conversation continuing he then started telling us to leave again. upon questioning why, he knocked me and my colleague over the head (who came back across the street to see what the commotion was about ) and restrained us. this then caused a gun fight with the other rebel partys involved .

While I am not pointing any fingers, as we had resolved the situation with him, it still shows a few points. While he was obviously new, it shows that crowd control is obviously something that isn't learnt by cops in the training phase which I believe is a crucial component to being a cop. heck I've seen Sgt's  who could not control a few people and their involvement made everything worse and escalate.

Additionally I would like to point something which I noticed not just as a civ but also while I was in the police. Lower ranks tend to not patrol with the higher ranks. this often means that pc's don't learn much from the people around them. While I was an INS people said that I was the only higher rank they saw not only on patrol but which they patrolled with. Police ranks need to integrate more with each other, allowing everyone to benefit from shared knowledge.

Sounds like this thread has become a "We hate police" bandwagon, please remember poor roleplay exists in all factions and areas on the Island from the minority

You're right, but you don't have to be whitelisted to be a civ. If you've gone through the effort to fill an app. Have an interview. Be in the police for 3 months, you should put the effort into roleplay?

@Ricardo Sanchez tbf is the role play is simply not up to par or unacceptable from an officer we have the police complaint commission to deal with those cases but I do agree with you after such a process good rp is to be accepted and I hope all officers strive for improvement as I and others try to

I Took a PPC against somebody before, it was swiftly declined. I honestly believe that the police is pretty much a talent contest and if you're in with high ups you have no fear of PCC's. Just my opinion...
