Alright thanks man I was thinking of getting the Corsair H100i, if not any of the liquid coolers. Do you know any other better coolers air or liquid that offer good performance.
just check it will fit in whatever case you're getting (your current case doesnt look like it has a space to mount an H100i. I have an H80i GT on mine which is great because it offers the same surface area of the H100, but is only a 120x120 slot, so can bolt on to the rear exhaust of your case. The downside with the Liquid coolers is the pump and fans obviously generate noise - i dont care as i wear headphones though.
Closed Loop All in One Liquid Pros/Cons:
Pro: Liquid cooling props from all your mates
Pro: Pretty good cooling potential (non-oc my pc was at 28C idle)
Con: Can be noisy as hell especially on Full-Performance
Con: 120x240 or 120x360 coolers need big cases to fit in. With some Motherboards and top-mounted 120x240 radiators, the radiator can hit the CPU Voltage Regulator Heatsinks. This means you need to specifcally check it will fit, or find a radiator that is thinner. Thinner rad = less cooling.
Air cooler wise - anything from BeQuiet or a Noctua DH15. They provide amazing cooling and virtually no noise.
Pros: BeQuiet and Noctuas i know first hand are silent as the grave.
Pro: Excellent cooling potential
Cons: Can be hard to fit depending on backplate design
con: the good ones are bloody massive - check your cases Max CPU cooler Height. For a BeQuiet it MUST be able to take 165mm tall cooler.
At the end of the day i'd say personal preference is the big factor, plus are you planning any mad crazy overclocks? The only thing i cant comment on are Custom Loop water cooling setups. I've never built one and they're 2scary4me. But i hear they can be amazing but i'm an IT guy, not an effing plumber.
