As many of you to include myself know how much fun being a mechanic is, you also know how much it is impacted by other players. No one has ever been upset when someone transports their vehicle from the Airport to Paleto because they didn't want to drive it. Mechanics are some of the most important members of our community, the roleplay and effort they put in is matched by few. There are some tweaks to the mechanic job I believe could be a massive improvement to the server as a whole.

1. Faction Vehicle Delivery
The current system for when a police car or ambulance is left out and gets eaten by a tornado during the storm is it goes to impound. However, "Bob" the trusted mechanic of the government brings it back to the garage instantly at the command of an Inspector or above. I'd like to see this change to have them delivered just like any other vehicle.

2. Car Carrier
Some of you mechanics may have seen the hundreds of vehicles that popped up on the dispatch system for the last couple of days headed from the city to paleto. Now that was a lot of miles and time to get all those vehicles transported up and with most people doing bin jobs that meant a few dedicated mechanics pulled that off. It would be nice if there was a system that used the car carrier to allow you to transport multiple vehicles at a time if they're all going to the same location. Going a step further, even allow the car carrier to have multiple vehicles going to different locations and make it a route.

3. Increase Trust Level and allow for Self-determined impound.
As it currently sits, the police/g6 either put in 1000 impound requests a restart or zero. This can impact the earning potential and roleplay of a lot of the mechanics not employed at shops. I'd like to see potentially an application process where shop/non-shop mechanics can apply for a level of trust that allows them to impound cars that are illegally parked or destroyed without the need of G6 or Police to set it for impound for them. Abuse of this system is already covered under the rules, and I think having it behind an application process would help decrease any abuse that could occur. This process could have it where these drivers get their training and authority from our well-established mechanic shops in the city.

Not too sure about the other parts, but big +1 on this

Honestly, this is the most important and I'd scratch the other two in a heartbeat just for this.

+1 Love this idea

1) Potentially, not sure how it would be implemented.

2) Neat idea, but seems like A LOT of dev time for a fairly niche feature.

3) NO. Now that we have the ability to take any car, it's really easy to tow them away yourselves and get them impounded at a police station or G6 hotspot.

Distance pay has really improved the mechanic jobs and being able to attach anything has turned out really well imo.

I have a thread with more mechanic suggestions too:

Would love to see a heavy towing vehicle that could tow things like trucks

you just wanna pull them over for not having a commercial license as well as mechanic to cover HGV towing

1) +1 for sure, sounds dope. 99 and 71, water cannon and mrap and vans will still need to poof in but normal cars would be awesome. They should be the exact same as normal delivery cars, undriveable and unable to be lockpicked.

2) +1, make this a level 5 mechanic perk. However, I'm not sure if it'll be worth the dev time to implement this especially as mass transports from LS to Paleto only happens once or twice a month depending on where the Lost MC are spending most of their time.

3) +1 but only if they can only do this for LOCAL cars.

I agree to this. Great idea.

This idea has potential but in the grand scheme of things I don't think it would be beneficial.

I am 100% for this. I think I have brought this up my self be for. Sometimes I witness vehicles at the same spot all night just because they nobody can be arsed to Impound them.

Great suggestions!

99 and 71, water cannon and mrap and vans
Why? Water cannon I understand, but helicopters and vans can go on the back of mechanic trucks currently. Only difference with the helicopters are they are added assets, but most local helicopters that get transferred the blades are folded in on the truck.

Is that so? I just thought they wouldn't fit on a flatbed. If they can then sure. However 99 is MASSIVE so that defo won't fit.

But the parking spot is on a roof. Where is gonna be a suitable spot to park with enough space for a heli behind it at a station apart from Sandy and Paleto

Same with other heli parkings, Gallery, Casino etc.. it’s all just unloaded at the nearest spot basically. Like casino is the car park.

I haven’t seen it up close in a while, but it’s similar size to a swift I thought?
No 99 is easily nearly double the size of a swift, its honestly huge, I'd go as far to say the actual body of 99 is wider than a flatbed
