Hi all.

Currently ina  i7 3770k

GTX 670

8 GB Ram

Every time someone shoots at me, i start to lag..

any one else experience this?

Do you use shadow play or anything?

Yesterday I turned up the quality of my shadow play from medium to high and I also experienced lag in gunfights.

  1. More info game specs that you run and do you use the geforce optimization tool which is actually the first bit of free supplied software that Does what it says on the tin unlike AMD or INTELS we will overclock for you and do a worse job than a monkey riding a bicycle playing the clarinet Plus Tip for all that read to improve Arma itself which is CPU dependant every time you launch your game go to task manager and processes tab and set the priority of Arma3.exe to high that will grab you 5-10 more frames <3

Frames arent an issue

Its uncommon for it to be anything other than frame drop which cause this as if you watch your frame counter as you shoot its quite often it will drop down slightly unless your running on nukes as graphics cards like 2 980 strix cough cough not me but before that when i was rocking on my 2 560s and life wasnt as gucci as now i had drops from 40 to 20 while shooting which is a massive disadvantage and caused the laggy shots, The only other thing i can think of is try playing in either full screen or full screen widowed mode and see if either affect it as in full screen hatchback sports disappear for me lol. You have got to love Arma.

Frames arent an issue UNTIL i am shot at. I don't need a frames boost.

yes but what i am saying is the when you are shot at more things are occurring which means your cpu or graphics card depending on the one thats hitting the most stress are under alot of load so the it is causing the lag so you need to find a way to boost your frames to the point where they do drop you wont lag or see which component is hitting the most load and overclock it so it can handle that load!!

Get a flux capacitor; I did it with mine and now it runs like a beast!

Was so surprised that it actually worked.

Is it only in close quarters combat? If so it may be your game having issues rendering muzzle flashes.

I used to have two GTX 670s, and every time I was shot at my game would drop frames when I was hit, it no longer does this with my new cards though. Maybe it is an issue with that card?

The way I experienced it was I got shot at, my game would drop frames, and then I would end up dead before I could even fully react due to the frame drops. This is probably your problem to be honest. That graphics card never played well with ArmA for me at any point.
