Should the Red-Zone be removed and server rules implement?

I Have voted yes, but what i would like to see is a maybe 500m red zone around any gang bases in the area, so if somebody is approaching your gang base you may fire upon them, other than that, you may leave them be, although, my house is hidden in the red zone due to the lack of people spending time on foot there, so i would have to think about re-locating my residence D:

 
Voted yes, remove it.

I, along with many others love to get into gunfights. I rarely ever do that on ALUK due to the lack of activity in the redzone mostly because there aren't enough people going there to fight. Anyone who does go there usually leaves as soon as they can.

If I want to get into a gunfight, I go play wasteland or KOTH. In my opinion, there is absolutely no need for the redzone.

There would have to be a lot of changes to it though, for example police don't go there and people won't be allowed to RDM. This means that the drug fields there will be very safe and perhaps should be removed. 

It would be nice to see something happen with Pyrgos, the capitol of Altis. Perhaps make it a rebel town and roleplay that it has been captured by the rebel forces. Gang bases should stay the way they are.

Finally, I think we should keep the rebel outposts however anywhere within 500m of a rebel outpost (marked on the map) is a redzone and you can shoot on sight. This will increase the risk of capturing them and going there to purchase gear; in the long run it should help prevent trigger happy rebels.

Just some of my thoughts on the matter

 
I voted yes because the server has grown and established itself as the biggest "roleplay" server... The redzone for me isnt used much and has no place anymore.

I vote no. I understand about what people are saying about the role play side of things but the redzone is a place for rebels to go to fight with other gangs and rob drug runners without worry of breaking role play or RDM. Without the redzone, gangs will start to cause trouble for cops and there will be a big increase in robberies of people and stores. The redzone isn't role play, but it is necessary to keep rebels busy and away from the cops and civs.

It's not used too much by most but the bigger gangs TI,TKC,UGN,BG and many other gangs enjoy fighting it out in the red zone, the red zone is out of the way so RP does not disturbed, if you remove it more gangs will fight it out around cites more fights out of the red zone which WILL effect roleplay, i would like to add without being hostile, most of the people voting to remove the redzone have never set foot in there, don't hate it before you try it.

EDIT: This is what i feel, i'm not talking on behalf of the gangs. this was from when i was a rebel.

Voted NO! I like it the way it is now. Except the dueling range, which isn't used or visited at all I think. Oh man, I'm gonna miss it.

The redzone has been used more then you guys all think! if we remove the red zone why not also the Blue zone and the Green zone. if we are already busy with removing stuff.  If the red zone will be removed it would be terrible for the rebels why shouldn't we screw the rebel life more over after the remove off the zafir and the mk2000 and the treath to remove the ifrit. what are we doing on this moment? destroying the rebel life destroying one of the biggest population on this server? what will happens next? Police can use real bullets on sight when a rebel has his gun out? those patches are destroying the rebel life! i understand you want to increase the RP but that won't work with this.

 
I've voted to get rid of it.

A "No Roleplay" zone simply isn't needed on this server, in my opinion.

If you get the urge to just shoot people, that's what King of the Hill / Wasteland is for.

Don't waste a slot on the server that could be used for interesting role play. Go shoot people up without role play on KoH instead.

Voted yes, but I say move it to a small area if this trial fails, such as the old 'processing island' (the little small bit where there is nothing)

I vote YES! I think it would be fun for all the Gangs with bases.
Because people will actually start to arrive at their border.
 
And i want a Police station in Pyrgos.

I must say i voted no mainly because I spend a lot of time in the redzone, now that if most people want it removed I can imagine there's going to be more rules about attacking the police as most rebels would focus on that.

I do play there.

And i like RP that's why i play here. however that massive TDM zone just doesn't belong.

If you want to kill just declare war on another gang or go invading a city.

If your main reason for playing a rebel is just to shoot people, because I'm getting that impression from you..

I think you might be playing on the wrong server mate. Go play wasteland.

Which is just depressing from an RP server, most of the rebels just want gun fights and just don't care about RP that much.

Declaring war on another gang would be very hard. How are you supposed to know its them, for example?

Invading a city means a city attack, where you need admin approval, and that DEFINITELY disrupts ALL kind of roleplay. A city attack can last for hours, effectively locking that city down. And new people spawning in wont really get the right idea of what the server is about if they spawn in and gets caught in a massive firefight, seemingly at random.

Im all for freeing up that massive amount of land that is the red zone, but what are we gonna put there? The island is already far too big to be properly patroled by the police. At least 60% of the island is used for absolutely nothing. Why not have the red zone there? The bigger part of it is actually very safe since there is only people at the gang bases or rebel outposts.

At the very least, move the red zone somewhere else. As suggested before, the small "drug island" isn't used for anything at the moment, and it was great during the small period of time where that was the red zone.
