I was once told, 'RP pays off'.

This is sad to see... a couple of days ago I was doing a drug run in a box truck for a load of medical marijuana heading to a research facility (Not the NHS or any MMJ patients as I understand there aren't any in Altis at the moment... even though the year is 2036 and the world is waking up to the bullshit that is marijuana prohibition today in 2015...)... and during my ride from the spot they arrested me all the way to Kav HQ not a single officer tried to RP with me.. their excuse was that they were talking on the radio... I thought the point of the police was to RP with people, not just run around picking up every criminal and tossing them into prison or going from gunfight to gunfight like some kind of western cowboy sheriffs.....   Also sad to say that the ranks in the vehicle with me were SGT and SPC...   They finally did talk to me after we got to kav HQ, but they completely ignored me while I was in the vehicle.  at least one of those riding with me in the car could've muted teamspeak, but they just ignored me.

(No I'm not going to name anyone)

I will say, I am somewhat disappointed with the quality of the APD since the mass hiring/recruiting... I can understand that there was a huge need for more police officers, but that does not excuse the rate at which people are being promoted to ranks they don't qualify for.  It used to be that whenever I saw someone of SGT rank or above, I knew I would get some quality RP...  Even most SPC's would provide a decent experience... that's no longer the case.
Sometimes, in this case for example, people get the impression that the person being restrained is being... well, a troll to some degree. And when in a situation like that, I find it to be pretty normal for people to not roleplay as serious as they would have, if the person they are roleplaying with is being a bit unserious.

I try to always RP with the guys under arrest when i'm heading towards the police HQ. That way, it funny to drive, and funny for the one that gets arrested. That way I try to do a good mood in getting arrested so they will be more likely to sudmit to the cops in the future. That way, its more funnier both from cops and the guy that got arrested.

I love rp in the car.. and police are usually amazing at it!

I think once. 2 days ago I had a cop shut me up with a 'soc' in my mouth - anti rp?

I always fart in the police car and ask them to roll down the window, usually gets some good RP going.

It would be awesome if radio chatter, from civilians and police, was heard by everyone near. I have seen some police do this but very rarely.

Those moments when you are sitting in silence when the people who have you captive/arrested and you just know they are talking about the situation on TS are the worst.

A little situation I got into recently:

me: *Speeding 20km/h over the speed limit*

me: *Gets pulled over*

After RP has been initiated:

me: Oh no! I just bought this car, and it seems they have put the speed gauge in mph! God dammit, I need to get that fixed"

cop: Let me take a look.

*Car speeds by*

cop: *Shoots at car*

me: Woah, you ok there?

cop: Yes, absolutely fine. Now, I'm going to let you go with a warning. Just don't drive fast in the future, even if you need to get to the hospital!

me: *Gets really confused and drives off*

You just have to get Walt in the job, that guy is fucking amazing and in 8 months that im here i cant make a single complaint about him.

Sometimes i even spectate him from a bush, but lets forget about this

Well maybe thats a reflection of the type of roleplay you're attempting to start, or maybe you just havent been arrested a lot of times :)
I get arrested 3 times a day. Look at my gang (TI), powergaming is hard to counter ;)

Thats hardly powergaming, metagaming if anything.

Anyways, I do agree, that it can be hard to not keep an eye out and be a bit more carefull when you're dealing with infamous gangs.

I just say something to make the driver laugh.. It always ends like this
