I was once told, 'RP pays off'.

Yes @SGT Ross I brought charges this time.

I don,t know which 'higher up' told you I have been doing it all week because I have not been on all week. I only used that once which was last weekend with @SGT Ross and I had no blasting charge.

You turned up asked me what i was doing and went silent and then asked me to leave as the Mayor did not give me permission to come here for his money. The only reason I came back was because I had had so little RP up to this point I was annoyed. I kept telling the officer on the road I wanted to go back and get my truck and was shot at.

I did not mention any names in this screenshot for a reason. Also yes I did ask if you were getting any at home because again, not one word was said to me in the car from the treasury to Kavala and I wanted to know why you were so quiet and always seemed angry. Turning around and saying something along the lines of 'Yes, I am getting some, from your mum' is not very professional but I see you left that part out.
Yes, I asked you what you were doing, listened to your story, reported it in and informed you that the mayor had not given you permission to do that (as you were claiming), we later got outside, and some of the other officers told you that the mayor was not even able to give you permission to something like that.

The issue with you being shot at, was, as far as I know, because one cop (not gonna mention any names) was in the server 2 channel by accident, and was likely given wrong information. You ran back in, and started lockpicking the door, so dont claim you went back for your truck, because that had already been impounded by one of the other officers...

Well it's not the first time people that are known for not being interested in gun fights have issues with the police still being hostile and sometimes .. yeah well .. powergaming.

(And I KNOW that this does NOT include EVERY COP. I have experienced some amazing RP from alot of cops also.)

Lol the police cry, they all love the shootouts its only when they lose they moan.

Well to be honest, i do love a good RP scenario at a bankjob. The keyword being GOOD. People using the same scenario more then once should not get any gold. Its not an ATM. If you want to roleplay the bank, that's fine, but people taking advantage of this is just exploiting the kindness of police.

I've had several guys showing up with illegal weapons and ghilie suits saying they're "cousins of the queen" and need to get some gold out. I've had people wanting to get gold to pay a loanshark (fairly good one except for them all smoking weed, which apart from making it near impossible to hear what they were saying just felt like a "fuck you" to the police). I've had people succesfully getting the gold, then coming back several times the same day using the exact same story or with some minor tweeks.

I even had a guy who just said "I have a document signed by the queen, give me some gold". When i questioned the authenticity of the document, he started typing in OOC about powergaming.

All in all, it comes down to this: If you roleplay well, and invent new scenarios and actually come prepared for the role, I have no problem giving out some gold. The better the scenario and RP, the more gold.

This is exactly what I was thinking during the whole situation.

And once again I used it once before and got no gold because I had no blasting charge, therefore not completing the job, I did it this second time, with a blasting charge as I had such a great RP situation from it last time without one that it would actually pay off. That is only the 3rd time I have been to the HM treasury to do the job since being on the island.

This is exactly what I was thinking during the whole situation.
I still don't know who told you 'I have been using the same excuse all week because, 1, its not true and 2, you have not said. The way you presented yourself at the treasury and spent more time 'talking on your radio' than you did RP'ing with me just makes me feel that no matter what the scenario you would have just tried to get me out of there as quickly as possible because I was on my own so felt that it was not worth it.

I did not start this to be a flaming post or a 'dig' at anyone, I just don't appreciate people saying I have done this thing all week when I have not.

Very sorry you had a bad experience chap. All of our officers are trained to reward good RP, generally if you've woven an interesting tale you will be let go/given a lesser punishment. However some of the lower ranks (especially PC because they've suddenly been put in charge of things) are afraid of letting people go and getting in trouble or something (extremely unlikely). If you feel it was really unfair then take it higher up but I hope you understand we can't let everything go because of a good story otherwise we'd have constant treasuries on our hands :)

Michael, thats the thing, I did let him go several times and gave him plenty of chances. Yet he kept comming back and completelty ignoring everything we said. Which I find to be poor RP.

And once again it was not about the arrest. It was about the whole 'its only one guy, lets knock him out and shut up the Treasury' that annoyed me.  And again I did not post this picture to post anyone in bad light.

But thats the thing. You're calling people out for bad roleplay, and when we mention how you were roleplaying pretty poorly as well, you're all like "thats not what this is about".

Why is it so hard to understand that I did not call anyone out in my OP? You decided, on your own, that you wanted to post 'your side' even though I mentioned nobody.

And as for my 'bad RP', I don't believe it was because I was doing all the RP, you were busy on your 'radio'. Your the one that said that I keep using this 'reason' to do the bank when I have only played it out ONCE with blasting charges.

And again, like I said from the beginning, i did not post this to call anybody out so stop taking it that way and thinking I am.

Alright mate, I get it that your intention was not to call anyone out. But seeing as PaulS gladly did that for you, and since the higher ranked officers of the police were asking for names, thats just how it turned out. Honestly, I think we should just leave this now, I agree that there are improvements to be made, from both sides, so lets just call it an educational experience.

In my opinion, if the RP is good I tend to let people off so RP does pay off!

I was shot and killed by a cop once for picking a car :)

Good to see that the #roleplayeverything is still going xDDDD

...

This is sad to see... a couple of days ago I was doing a drug run in a box truck for a load of medical marijuana heading to a research facility (Not the NHS or any MMJ patients as I understand there aren't any in Altis at the moment... even though the year is 2036 and the world is waking up to the bullshit that is marijuana prohibition today in 2015...)... and during my ride from the spot they arrested me all the way to Kav HQ not a single officer tried to RP with me.. their excuse was that they were talking on the radio... I thought the point of the police was to RP with people, not just run around picking up every criminal and tossing them into prison or going from gunfight to gunfight like some kind of western cowboy sheriffs.....   Also sad to say that the ranks in the vehicle with me were SGT and SPC...   They finally did talk to me after we got to kav HQ, but they completely ignored me while I was in the vehicle.  at least one of those riding with me in the car could've muted teamspeak, but they just ignored me.

(No I'm not going to name anyone)

I will say, I am somewhat disappointed with the quality of the APD since the mass hiring/recruiting... I can understand that there was a huge need for more police officers, but that does not excuse the rate at which people are being promoted to ranks they don't qualify for.  It used to be that whenever I saw someone of SGT rank or above, I knew I would get some quality RP...  Even most SPC's would provide a decent experience... that's no longer the case.
