Food update

Food has been needing some love for a while now. We’ve been watching the amazing RP, creativity, and fun happening in the restaurants, and honestly, you all inspired us. Seeing your ideas and creations come to life pushed us to bring something fresh and exciting to the table!
This update completely reimagines the way food works, adding new ways to craft, cook, and enjoy it.

Here’s what’s cooking:
  • Cooking skill cap raised from 4 to 10.
  • Over 160 new recipes added.
  • Tons of new food items to create .
  • The ability to craft your own unique food creations.
  • Restaurants now have their own specialties.
  • Restaurants now have more interaction points! (cleaning, cutting, cooking, frying, storage, drinks etc.)
  • Some old items got replaced and are not craftable anymore. - sorryyyy
And worry not! This update isn’t just for the restaurants!
There are new NPCs scattered around Los Santos. Some will help you get the ingredients ready, while others specialize in their own unique dishes.

We also got ourselves 2 new restaurants:
- KOI (a fish restaurant) @George Harris
- Lucky Plucker - MLO was added long time ago, but it is now fully working @Bobinz

The food update was mainly created by me, @Bobinz, with huge help from @Mark for all the new props added (and trust me, there are a lot of them)! There were very nice additions from @Mike Polo and @George Harris, and a big shoutout to the whole dev team for the awesome reviews and feedback.

Pillbox adjustments @Mike Polo

The A&E check-in desk has been relocated to Lower Pillbox for improved accessibility. Additionally, bollards have been installed at Upper Pillbox to prevent vehicles from entering the loading bay, enhancing safety for staff and pedestrians. please use Lower Pillbox from now on.

  • Added New Hospital wards I & J to Pillbox hospital
  • Moved Check-in Desk to lower Pillbox

The restaurants have a lot to figure out before they’re ready for your creative (and massive) orders. Give them a bit of time, and they’ll be up to serve you ingenious creations soon!😄
In a few weeks, we’ll be hosting an event to see who can come up with the most creative food. So keep experimenting, fail a few times, and create something truly unique and delicious!

Big shout out to @Antollyme who has worked on the New Lore Friendly Emergency Service Cars over the last year ( We started in Nov 2023) - GTA is a minefield for finding out information, and correct information at that so designing these cars has allowed us to explore lots of new ideas and avenues of development (take callsigns as an example) as well as fixing some of Rockstars own mistakes! - Perfection takes time, I'm glad Ant had some.

Final Notes

I've not done much this month besides a bunch of paperwork and review recently, but I Just wanna give a massive shoutout to the Development Team for absolutely smashing it this month. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 merge requests where deployed to the live server in January, and that's after some pretty big releases before Christmas. To be honest, they've been so productive I'm struggling to keep up with the review, but you will never hear me complain about that champagne problem.

And it was mentioned yesterday as well, but also a special thanks to @Antollyme as well for a massive amount of work done to get the new lore-friendly faction fleet rolled out.

Please give the dev team some love!

Shop Clock-In/"Fast Food" System @Paint @Archie @1A3

So you may wonder how Paint worked on this... well it's because the clock-in code was taken from crim update :cool:
  • Added the ability to clock-in to catering shops @Paint @Archie
    • The easiest way for me to describe how this works is with an example scenario:
      1. The employee clocks-in to the shop
      2. A customer walks into the shop and tells the employee what items they want
      3. The employee calculates the total price then requests payment by interacting with the till
      4. The customer interacts with the till and can pay via cash or bank
      5. Once the customer has paid the employee receives a notification and places the items into the tray (if the shop doesn't have a tray then giving by hand)
      6. The customer takes the items out of the tray
  • Added "Shopmapp" phone app which lists all shops that have the ability to clock-in (catering, vehicle dealerships & vehicle repair) @1A3
  • Shop Management Menu Changes @1A3
    • Moved the options within "Manage Shop" to the homepage since it was a pointless extra click
    • Added a menu to allow the shop keeper to change the logo image & catering menu image
  • Added the ability to read the last 100 text messages that were sent to a landline phone @1A3
  • Added landline phones to some of the catering shops (the rest will be added next update) @1A3

New Features:
  • Added the ability to turn on/off radio via a streamdeck via /radio [on/off/toggle] @1A3

    • Fixed vehicle transfers to gang parking not ensuring that the person has the gang parking permission (it previously only checked the gang id)
    • Fixed gang parking not ensuring that the person has the gang parking permission (it previously only checked the gang id) when trying to park a vehicle
    • For garages that have licence checks (such as aircraft garages) it checks the licence of the vehicle's owner
    • When parking a vehicle it now revokes all temporary keys instead of revoking whoever parked it

    • Added ability to view the catering menu via the till interaction
    • Added ability to check what other employees are clocked in
    • Added ability for employees with the "manage employees" permission to clock out other employees
    • Added the rest of the catering shop landline phones
