Good Evening Staff and fellow members of the community!

I am making this post for one reason and one reason only, to create a more fair and friendly environment for the Role-players of our lovely community!

Now My goal here is to get the use of all Third Party Crosshair software banned from use in the server, I will give my points after a few short words, The use of third party software such as Crosshair X and HudSight create a clear unfair advantage when it comes to shootouts within the server, or any other gun related conflict, Too often I feel I'm seeing clips of people running around with big and bright crosshairs that are just unnecessary within a ROLEPLAY server.

To me it feels there are too many people here for the purpose of shooting one another like it was a 2015 Black Ops 2 Lan Event, you see them often on the report pages and clips pages even on YouTube running around 4:3 aspect ratio, the lowest graphics possible, and grand ol' crosshair slap bang in the middle.

Reasons Myself and I know a few other feel it should be banned

1# Now its very clear using these third party software bring a clear unfair advantage in the server when it comes to gun conflict, I know a lot of people will disagree with this post (The ones abusing the software) but I know a lot of people here will agree that it creates an unfair advantage.

2#
Do you really need it? Are you that washed at shooting you NEED a massive crosshair to assist you in your aim? there's a lot of people who do so much better without using a crosshair at all! (Myself included)

3#
Let me remind you of what this server is for...R TO THE O TO THE L TO THE E....not going to do the whole thing but you get where I'm going, ROLEPLAY! We are here for one reason and one thing only! to create interesting roleplaying scenarios with each other and make lifelong friends along the way! now I know Gang Roleplay is a big part of the server and I'm not trying to get that scrapped at all, In fact some of the most fun I've had is with some of the Group Leaders, My whole point here is if you are running around with a big shiny crosshair, are you really here for roleplay? you're basically just driving around waiting for someone to say the wrong thing so you can blast em and dump em.

4#
Lets be honest now, its straight up cheating, its a third party software, its almost up there with Aimbot and walls, its not meant to be in the server so come on now, stop it.

*Optional Suggestion*

My Fifth point is going to be a HOT take, I want to push to get rid of the default crosshair as well, now I don't know how it would work in code or whatnot but I'm sure it's possible, Now Roleplay.co.uk is a SERIOUS roleplay server that strives to be realistic, now I'm correct to assume this then I think its only right to get rid of the default crosshair, it provides no sense of realism, if I was to go out and buy a gun today all I would have is my iron sights (or scope lul) Anyways my point is i think it would create some very funny moments and increase the intensity when it came to shootouts, it would make people have to work on their aim and i think it would be very amusing to see, just imagine the gang shootouts with no crosshair. be like watching star wars with all the storm trooper aim.

Anyways that last point was just optional I don't really mind if the default stays or goes just more of an emersion thing, but Crosshair X and HudSight and all those shitty third party apps got to go!

I'm more then open to discussion on the topic so if you have counter points (there will be counter points I assume) then please step forward and lets have an adult discussion on the subject!

Have a great day and I hope you enjoyed reading my Essay!

As some have already mentioned, very hard to enforce crosshairs as monitor crosshairs exist. If crosshairs were to be punished, people with built in monitor crosshairs would have the advantage over others.
Also, the only real way to attempt to enforce 3rd party crosshairs such as 'Crosshair X' would be by catching people using them from their own POVs to which i'm sure people would find a workaround.

Exactly, quick Shift, Alt, Z and it’s as if it was never there in the first place.

Guys come on if you're here for shooting people there is plenty of servers for it but as the song says at the start this is a roleplay server LUL

Notice how the majority who responded are gang RP people lul, for sure have stretched res and don't deny it I see the mass reports with everyone's POV lmao

I didn’t want to put my 50 pence in but I will. You say the majority who have responded are gangs on the contrary the majority that have up voted this are police. In your first line you talk about fairness. Police get the best guns, the best armour, the best cars all for the low low price of £0. They have a 50 or so capacity, a panic button which screams help I’m here, vehicles which lasts 2/3 times as long on fuel and can take up to 2x more damage.

And even then should a gang or someone push back the police no worries l because they have the SAS and Army that can be called upon with their armoured vehicles and lighting fast jets. These are things that the police have which no one else has. On the other hand, crosshairs some people have but everyone can access or purchase in some form. It seems to be that the police are the majority which want this removed for “RP” at the end of the day it’s a video game and sometimes people are simply just better. Before you talk about fairness take a closer look.

You should take your time to go through the recommended players rather than reports page. You'll find more "gang rp people lul" are there than cops. Lul.

The reality is that it won't change anything even if you did ban it because it's unenforceable; monitor crosshairs, blutack on the screen, less known crosshair applications etc. would just be used instead and then admins would have to start guessing if someone has a crosshair or not.

Average Police main take, At this point remove guns so Crims cant fight cops. There is no way people really believe my funny blue dot affects Rp.

Most gunfights are 90% luck
there's not that much luck in gta gunfights, on here it's based on who shots first or has the bigger gun most of the time

Genuinely confused as to how a crosshair on a screen can affect someone's standard of RP?
I think the argument is that if your using a crosshair that your more interested in the killing/fragging side of things over the RP side as if your here to RP why have the need for a marker on the screen to help you shoot more effectively

Don't mean it's a true statement but do you need one if your here to RP more than shoot seeing as there is a setting in gta to turn on a crosshair when you aim anyway

It makes zero sense to me why the original ingame crosshair was disabled in the first place, it doesn't add or promote roleplay not having it there, only hinders people's aim - Having a crosshair does not change the direction of roleplay, I expect a lot of people wouldn't be using crosshair x if the default one was never disabled.

I use Crosshair X, why? Because I am at a disadvantage in a role like G6 or Police if I do not, you have to keep up with what you're up against.

This post and your approach to this are quite honestly childish and embarrassing, I hope you do recognize how you are wrongly negatively brandishing a lot of players, from what I gather your opinion of me and many others is that I am a " Cheater, on par with an aimbotter, who abuses software because I am 'washed' at shooting and has no interest in roleplaying " All because of a centered dot?

Although I disagreed with your profile post the other day and your approach to this post, I do understand where you are coming from in regards to roleplay, however, crosshair x is not the issue.

Staff are responsible for enforcing the standard of roleplay on the server if the staff team continues to allow blatantly obvious "frag kiddies" without scrutiny then the standard will continue to drop until a higher expectation and standard of roleplay is enforced.

For someone that actively uses crosshair x but doesn't have toggled on I don't see how, after countless arguments about crosshairs provide you with an advantage, its not like its a paywall and its locked behind things, specially when you have access to one in your F8 menu.

I also can not agree with you saying that having crosshair x is like having walls an aimbot, just because I have a dot on my screen that helps me aim doesn't mean I can snap onto people and see them through walls, so that point that it is "similar" can be disregarded and I can see why people think this suggestion is a joke.

Id like say, that personally I do not see people that use crosshair x or any sort of crosshair as a "frag kiddie", like other people have said, having a dot or a cross on your screen doesn't affect the way that you roleplay at all.

Another things, you say most people that reply are "gang people lul", but I feel like you also fail to see that there is people that are not part of gangs, and that gangs are the majority of the server.

People go on and on that its a game and we are all here for fun, but want to try and get people removed for a software that adds something to the centre of your screen, even though you can do it in the base game, and you said yourself and I quote.

2# Do you really need it? Are you that washed at shooting you NEED a massive crosshair to assist you in your aim? there's a lot of people who do so much better without using a crosshair at all! (Myself included)

If this is the case, and you feel like there is a lot of people that do better without the crosshair, including yourself, what is the real reason to complain? you've admitted yourself that you and other deal fine without and are "better", clearly there is no disadvantage.

Yes the server is a serious roleplay server, but crosshairs do not define your character or how you deal with situations, your roleplay is down to how you want to do it and your personality, not a dot or a cross on a screen.

EDIT:
Alllsooo. "Anyways that last point was just optional I don't really mind if the default stays or goes just more of an emersion thing, but Crosshair X and HudSight and all those shitty third party apps got to go!"

So what is the difference of crosshair x and Hudsight being used compared to the in game one? you do not mind about that one but have this massive issue with the 3rd party ones, please make it make sense

POV someone who's lost too many gun fights
Your comment displays exactly the kind of mentality i'm gong against, the fact you even brough up the winning or losing aspect of RP shows how badly you and all your little gang rp friends wanna win gun fights :)
