A second truck depot

In the last week of me playing and mainly doing truck runs the depot can get overun extremely easily and i think that another truck depot maybe in the north of the map opposite of the paleto bike dealer at the already made cluckin bell. This Would be nice to have a bit more variety when doing the most popular job and would probably also spread out the players around the more northern areas of the map. You could also have it so that when you go from far South of LS all the way to Paleto, instead of having to go all the way back to LS you could finish and start your next mission in Paleto. Not sure if this is something that would be done but I would personally love to see it.

back this 100% - the main one at the moment gets so busy, and this could use more of the out of city map area.

Is the truck depot as busy as it was a month ago?

I know Chucky used to look after it quite a bit and a good process was put in place to ensure smooth running which as time went on most players did without prompting. He now has work elsewhere and I'm not sure if anyone has taken over his place. I just cannot foresee it being as busy - baring in mind trucking was the best way to make money by far over anything else legal until fishing came about. It got hectic but people roleplaying trying to keep things going helped (and some common sense from drivers). I imagine as new players join and are no one is there to guide them they probably don't necessarily follow the revised route in and out that Chucky put together or the queuing system.

I've been to truck depot twice since the economy change and found other than trucks being abandonded around the edges that could have been cleareed up, it wasn't too bad. On one visit there was only one truck there at about 2200 UK time. On another visit about 20:30 ish there was only 3-4 lorries there and 2 of them appeared to know what to do to keep things smooth and the other 2 were loading up trailers and about to leave.

I won't vote -1 or +1 until I have visited the truck depot again - however currently I'm leaning towards -1 because I can only see that we had it a lot worse only a few weeks ago and people putting some time in to guide players into some order really did help - to the point that 90% of the drivers knew what to do when they arrived and the 10% could probably figure it out from the others.

What if there was a proper job for this? paid per truck clear up, kept order, all that as an official role on duty?

Something proposed by Chucky in the past, I believe, but it didn't materialise. Not sure if it's because they knew some of the trucking operations would be taken away from the truck depot with the economy update moving into the docks, or for another reason.

I've just had a thought that maybe it could use the Cluckin Bell depot in paleto and instead of using the Fuel deliveries you could deliver "Food" to restaurants and other business' around the map. I also believe that each Delivery mission should have a fixed price because atm there is no point in doing a delivery any less than 3.8 miles because you get scammed for it. You go 3.2-3.6 miles and only get 5k but go 3.8+ and get 20k+.

Given the nature of the city at the moment, what you've suggested is already in place to an extent. The deliveries to stores and car dealerships around the city is a viable option for deliveries, although it doesn't pay as much.

The way the trucking depot is laid out is the main issue, as once a single bay is blocked it begins to snowball. Bay 1 and 2 are the only real bays you can use to safely and efficiently attach cargo to your truck without crashing into other people or performing a 17,000 point turn. Chucky had a very efficient system put in place that practically forced trucks to form a queue and allowed trucks with cargo to come and go without causing issues to others doing the same. Rather than placing another depot in, I think reworking the existing depot would be an easier feat as it would be map changes rather than coding more locations for deliveries. Also, the issue already exists that people aren't really RPing situations whilst trucking, it becomes simply an autopilot job for people to carry out. If you're ever active between the 8pm and 8am restart, the number of blown up or abandonded containers and trucks is outright annoying to see as not only is it taxing on peoples systems, it just doesn't make sense.

Rather than pushing for more of the same, why don't we add legal jobs that are RP based. For instance, other servers have working fast food places that require you to actually cook the food rather than just purchasing it from an empty restuarant with no interaction.
