You're kind of contradicting yourself in your story. Which one is it, either you have keys, or you don't. So, if you told the cops you didn't get the keys because your 'friend' didn't trust you, you should have to hotwire the car. Or, you do have the keys (found the car with the keys in it)...

I think you can't compare this to real life. If I was driving a car irl, that isn't mine, and the cops pulled me over, they wouldn't just let me go. I would have to prove it belongs to a friend of mine, or atleast be arrested for 24 hours. In that time the cops can investigate whose car it is...

I have a slightly lower graphics card (Geforce GTX 570) and don't have this problem. Run MSI Afterburner when playing, it shows all the info you need, e.g. fan speed; GPU load, etc...
