Same old shit. Getting bored of the whole "5 seconds or we shoot" bullshit.

That said, I'm glad I was shot rather then waste probably about an hour of my life in a tiresome hostage situation with Jamie and Dante. Next time Dante I will be shooting you from the sky after a warning, instead of letting you troll around in a chopper for 15 mins. Just so you know. I am starting to see why most of the server hates the bloke. 

I held off as I did not want to get *inevitably* reported but I'm clear on the rules now.

Same old crap.

How was that trolling ? We told you to drop your stuff you walked foward after 5secs countdown you got shot, then your PCSO/CSO as we said: ''That was the first one, now you get in the floor '' he ran away, and BTW I could have just killed you as you opened fire at me earlier when I was in the hummingbird.

I think the point is Dante that it would nice to have some different experiences with some of the gangs here. It really is to the point where you can't help but hope they shoot us so we can move on from the inevitable low quality RP and start again. I'm not saying that's you in particular (I dont believe you've ever really come near me) it's just based on my experiences recently.

Edit: as a cop, I find it just really, really gets old that's all.

it would really be cool if readers of this considered it as an appeal rather than an argument. Here's hoping.

Dude, we were trying to help an officer process a criminal and he was on his own... That was my "Had enough, gotta go" excuse.  :D

After the what... 10 ... 15 minutes of baiting me by flying around in a town? I have the footage and you were warned. I now know I can text and it ain't meta gaming. 

You're on thin ground with most of this community amigo. A failed cop who spends his days trying to piss off the guys who are cops and reporting them when he does not win. It's about time someone came out and just called it like it is. 

 
And BTW if you notice when he says hold on I am trying he wasn't speaking in-game... He turned the mic on whenever he was being fired upon.

It wasn't really that much of a fail, simply because you even kept your weapon raised meaning you can be considered aggressive.

But I agree something has to be done, like implementing a 20-30second rule. However such a rule can only apply to non-threatening targets.

 
^^ I think what the Reverend is getting at is not necessarily just this event - It's getting progressively worse. People complain about the police when they screw up but when we're getting the whole 5 seconds or we'll shoot shit all the time it makes you less than willing to want to RP with you to the best of our ability.

To be honest IMO the whole 5 seconds thing is just for the sake of it, the outcome tends to be the same be it right then or 30mins later after a hostage scenario.

I was trying to get you out of the garage as some of my guys had the jail clothes, and were trying to get away.

If I was a failed cop, I would never have got to SGT and/or would have been kicked from the force, instead of leaving it myself.

The only cop that I think I ever reported was SPC Aaron, for the reasons that you can see in my post...

Was a bit too quick in my view...

He said he had arthritis why the hell was there not any roleplay surrounding that... i mean there was a fair number fo you... there was no reason to rush it so fast 

LA are on my radar currently, The roleplay ive seen so far in spectating has been nothing short of piss poor and the forum posts and videos on these forums are doing nothing but backing that up

We are not analyzing a transcript here dante, instead we are pointing out how that type of roleplay is utter shite and is not needed. I really don't like the way people say there are "snipers" on the roof because many times there arnt, and its only 1 person taking a police man hostage. 

 
I've tried the "there's snipers on the roofs" once before. I tried lying me way out of a jail sentence, then laughed it off with the arresting copper when he said "no there isn't, we've on NPAS in the air". Bastard calling my bluff :(

 
Accepted on the raised gun thing and the direct chat. It kinda proves the point I'm making about the five second thing. I was trying to work out which chat channel I was in and not even looking at my screen at the time... And got shot. 
 

Also, I've been a cop for little over a week, so no, I don't know all the rules for every given situation and with constant radio chatter and all that stuff, I am trying to learn the ropes. But rather than break server rules, I try to be fair and at the time I had a CSO with me. I am bound to value life above all when I'm a cop. 

But I can tell you that you're earning the kind of rep for the LA guys where most people would sooner have nothing to do with you rather than the inevitable poor RP scenario that ultimately ends in death / robbery / being taken hostage. 

This post is a heads up as much as anything else. I don't want to see anyone banned but if people are not public about their opinions then it's just little groups bitching. 

I also appreciate this paints a big old target on my back and that's fine. But I want to play on a server that it fun with people who try their best to RP rather than find exploits and shortcuts that mean they win in any given scenario whilst giving other players a shit experience.
