What do you mean I didn't RP? I was shooting at your wheels not you.

It's all well and good that those with weapons that chamber 7.62mm rounds and roll in groups of 5+ are all up for roleplay and set up roadblocks regularly, but think of it from a lone civilians point of view for a change, mhm? Afterall it should be about making the roleplay enjoyable for both parties and not just yourselves, and surely if you're a lone civilian driving up from a hard days work at the mine with a truck full of resources to sell and you see this roadblock with several armed men, instincts would kick in regardless as chances are you've encountered things like that before which has always lead to the same old generic robbery with you losing your stuff that you worked fairly hard to get, now think about that happening to that one person over and over again... it gets boring real quick, especially when it's a common occurance in this community. It isn't about valuing your life over roleplay or not because over time you've probably been robbed so many times already just because you have a truck and are an easy target for said robbers. Sure, there could be a handful of groups of robbers such as yourself, Kris, that do want to give a good roleplay experience with a victim you are about to rob, but can you blame people for trying to run with the amount of people that do tend to rob a lot in this community and have probably had the same old boring experience time and time again?

Before I deleted my rant, I said that it seems that those that do have said weapons and roll in groups pretty much control the outcome of an engagement before it even starts so that it ends how they want it, be that a successful robbery or to just chat. Which is just like you have said, Kris, you'd end up getting your tyres shot out and forced to roleplay if you try to avoid another situation like that, but the difference is, you'd be forced to roleplay to how they want, and I personally think that's how it would be regardless if someone stopped at a checkpoint or not because of the fact you are clearly outmanned and outgunned. But as I said, there could be a small handful of "nice" robbers out there that do want to have some good roleplay and are aware that they obviously control the situation but don't want to abuse these, powers, shall we say.

Previously, PLF were the only gang out there who would actively engage, tax and carry out organised attacks on a regular basis. There were smaller, 3 man gangs and so on however they've all left us. We then had PMC who were gone very swiftly and now we're left with several very well organised gangs who understand the concept of RP completely. If you RP with them, they will RP with you. By attempting to out run the speed of a bullet in a vehicle which barely does 100 km/h is going to be fruitless. You have no one else to blame of you get your tyres shot out because you attempted to run. You have absolutely no one else but yourself to blame if you were shot, returning fire at someone who shot at your tyres because you cared more for your cargo after being asked to stop. You have no one else to blame if you chose to use a main highway to get somewhere faster rather than using side roads and back roads.

Welcome to risk.

You are missing out on the point I tried to make completely, and again are not looking at it from a players perspective that chooses to not group up with people just to rob anyone they see or to "tax" them because they see that as good roleplay, which is one reason why people that are on their own do tend to try and run instead of having another encounter that will ultimately have the exact same outcome as they have previously had with robbers. I'm also not talking about someone trying to out run a bullet here... I'm talking about the logic behind a player that is on their own and possibly has been for a while when they have played on the server for doing so.

If anything, what you are saying is practically proving my point on how gangs that do roam around with high caliber weapons and in decent size groups do tend to control roleplay engagements to how they want it to play out and not about it being fun for both parties, after all that is what it should be about at the end of the day. If someone gets robbed quite frequently but have had good fun whilst being robbed due to the roleplay involved then all's good, they might not be as hesitant to stop at a checkpoint full of armed people, but because they have more than likely had bad experiences with other robbers, they may just have got bored by the fact that they don't have fun in roleplay situations like that. Note that I am not accusing you of this, I am just saying that it's a possibility they haven't had good experiences with being robbed in the past which deters them from wanting to engage with other people that have clear intentions of some form of robbery.
