We Got Scared

Just came across this video again. I think I may have posted this before, but what the heck, I'll do it again.

If you have 8 minutes of your life left, I suggest you watch this. It is a brilliant story about mankind and how we became to be what we are today but more important; about what we can be if we put our minds to it.

We express our greatest achievements through ours fears and ignorance and we catalyse our power through our primitive nature. This, and videos like this are romanticist for me because despite the achievements we have made through our history, we have always been violent in nature, killing eachother for millennia, and it will continue ad infinitum. The ideal that this video suggests will never happen.

Perhaps I am just pessimistic

Our violence has created some of our best technologies through militaristic research, we need our wars and fighting to better ourselves. There is no harmony that can happen because of fascists/racists/radicals and the corrupted. We will always be a species of violence and ignorance for what is needed for our long term survival, everythign needs to be short term because the long term isn't plausible to most. I'd love to say that on day there won't be wars or violence but there will always been disagreements and actions that have consequences.
