Some people like to have some goals to work towards to, having the fattiest weapon available maybe is not one of them :) 

 
Not sure what everyone is on about saying "it takes ages to get promoted". Yeah, if you're lazy and don't do the work. If you do your job well, you'll get promoted. I managed to get fast tracked twice from my efforts, went from SPC -> DSGT in 30-40 days.

Wherever you go I'm sure you'll be fine, but currently, the police seem to be more dominant in terms of a firepower/numbers ratio which is especially worth thinking about considering we have a cap of 40 slots. (NOT TRYING TO START DRAMA)

On the flip side, joining UNMC allows you access to a spar-16s at a low rank which could be a plus, if you wish to be armed and ready early (recruit receive 9mm stingers I believe).

You'll do fine wherever you go Kenny.

do you really want to do 5 interviews/test that take ages to reach the lowest official rank in police? (other than pcso and ppc)

As a PPC, (Probationary Police Constable) I would go with the Police but i am kind of biased..... UNMC are, in my eyes just military rebels. They behave like them and are very hostile towards us (i prefer this as it adds good tension when we get dispatched to UNMC issues etc). 

In police you get to 

Work your way up ranks. 

Help people.

You do get more authority in general (you are thought how to use it). 

You do get into large scale firefights.

Our communications systems are supurb (we use Whisper Lists on TS but we have procedure when using for example: Kilo Romeo 1 to Alpha Victor 4, currently in pursuit of a stolen black SUV need assistance Over.''

Most in police are extremely helpful, hilarious and just awesome people in general. 

We have contabularies (Constabs) eg. Kavala, Athira, Agios. 

We have specialised units: NCA (National Crime Association), AR (Armed Response)  , RTU (Road Traffic Unit).

Hahah yeah dude , that's what we do. That makes the Police great! The fun and banter , can't get cringier then this.

You also start with the exact same weapons in unmc and police if you were a PCSO, no real difference tbh.
