UNMC/COP Deals? (Discussion)

Spunky's sum up pretty much explains it then! (Great use of the word castration!)

But yeah, I've never seen the police actively work with UNMC but we do have a level of respect (presumably to avoid constant gunfights)

Personally, I'm not a fan of working together - I don't like the RP surrounding that but... Sometimes it's about the greater good I guess!

I remember this one time in police camp cops got demoted due to false accusations from UNMC saying that they were working with Paragon, admins got involved and said it was violating server rules/etiquette. I also remember that no more than two days later cops and UNMC were working together at the aircraft hanger where they witnessed UNMC point blank executing a few gang members who were doing no more than being present. Nothing was said or done to the police officers in the latter incident. It all seems fairly hard to believe that a police force would allow people to break serious laws/possess illegal items right in-front of their faces without any input whether it helps the police force or not... You really think that this would happen 'in real life'? Whether they are being aggressive to police officers or not they are still breaking laws and should still be treated the same as everyone else. Also I remember another one of my experiences where Paragon bailed another gang out of trouble in a gun fight to which a certain UNMC General jumped into the channel we were in on Teamspeak and call us and the other gang for not being able to take care of themselves and how it's unfair that two gangs can work together as they didn't know who to shoot at and who not to. Seems to me like there are a lot of double standards going on from both the UNMC and the police force here.

I think that the police should stop relying on illegal gangs to step in when things get dirty and instead focus on training their current officers, identify why their police force has become so malnourished recently and how they can reprimand this and also strongly think about restoring Armed Response to how it was a few months ago. It will take more time but ultimately allow the server to proceed with as much realism as possible in my opinion.

All that was said above is based on my past experiences so is my opinion based on facts. Please no hate xxx

Basically, the cops are having a hard time ( and I know every cop says so but it is really true) Everyday we either deal with a hostage op or a bank op, which pisses allot of the cops off. I once had to finish my RP ( did it on a good RP way) Just to realise that when I pass Kore bend I will be shot at by rebels who placed s blasting charge if we can't make it to the H.m because they set up at kore how can we Acton the crime sometimes a hand is needed, a hand that won't let us go till it is over. I can still say that even if UNMC takes apart of the H.M doesn't mean you lose, some people get a fair share amount. And not only that but it makes it more a challenge to do a h.m

This is my opinion

Think you are slightly mistaken we are not against gangs working together , in fact i think its a good idea as at least then you guys have a chance what we were unhappy with was we were engaged with one gang and a second gang opened fire without initiating that was our issue , and like weve said we dont help the police we do what we need to do to make money and the police do what they need to do to keep the streets clean i mean why would police get engaged into a gunfight that could possibly last hours when the unmc can come in and clear out the situation in 30 minutes or less and make 20 million its win win for both factions

In the end of the day it is a game and some stuff is unbalance so you use other stuff/assets to balance it. And I'm not gonna lie the police force is right now in a shitty state so we have to rely that gangs take it a bit easier on us and if we get rolled over too badly officers are just gonna get mad and that is no fun for anyone.

UNMC only get called in under extreme circumstances so can't really see the problem. Don't want UNMC to help the police?

Then just go easier on the police. Because in the end we all just wanna have fun or chill playing a good game

I always feel like nobody really follows their gang back story including UNMC. Everyone does whatever they feel like with no thought of if it makes sense or not.

When i was in MA we had no allies because it would break the roleplay story so some of the gangs do :)

My friend, unless you know the in's&out's of every gangs backstory (including the UNMC) then I think you're wrong.

do you even know our backround story ? if you do tell me where were not following it , because we follow it pretty damn well

Go on then tell us the background. Cuz Ive asked about 10 members in game and no UNMC seems to know. Plus it seems to change all the time too. One day you're ok with the drugs, the other you're stopping evil drug dealers. Same with guns, Im utterly lost tbh.

This literally makes no  sense

Why the hell would what's considered terroists by the government work together with them and (sorry for adding this in nobody is to comment on it) not let the police hire a PSC? Like this is getting stupid, why is this considered ok?

this is only my opinion.
Does seem like a double standard at face value when AEGIS despite being a 'rebel gang' in the sense there weren't a whitelisted faction, weren't able to roleplay as a PSC. But the UNMC can work with/alongside/parallel to police in return for a 'blind eye' towards some of their activities. It doesnt make sense when they're supposed to be an invasive/paramilitary force opposed to the govt rule of Altis.

The police supposedly shouldn't be working with any gangs period, particularly the UNMC given the fact there's a border and they're supposed to be opposed to Govt. Rule.

Seems to me like the UNMC and the police are not strong alone. They need to team up to take out the big gangs.

lol not a bad attempt at fishing for bites  but sadly there are not many big gangs left on altis , hence the reason the unmc dont go looking for a fight because we feel its unfair on rebel gangs as we can just roll up and take whatever we want from them thats why we limit ourselves to taking gold of rebels every couple of days, imagine the uproar if we intercepted every bankjob that goes down which would be well within our capabilities

Quite a provocative statement, should consider retracting it. Cheers!
I dont see any other reason for them to team up. Why would you team up if you got nothing to gain from it? Pretty clear that its helping the UNMC and police to take out the gangs

Every bankjob I have seen lately the UNMC have rolled up claiming some of the gold in atleast 2 ifrits. Atleast every time there is a lot on duty

as has already been said police are struggling at the moment due to alot of them leaving and rebels are taking advantage , we on the other hand are very strong and so when we come in and attack a gold convoy the police look the other way , they get the rebels off there back for a bit and we get 20 million in gold its win win

We don't team up with the police unless they are getting battered for 3 and a half hours by a shitty gang.

We do benefit for keeping the peace. It means the police dont get killed by the UNMC. It also means the police do not get involved with the UNMC gun fights which benefits us ?

But the police and UNMC teams up in gunfights because they cant take them out on their own. At every bank the rebels have UNMC and cops shooting at them.

this just seems like a thread for salty rebels to complain, if you have big problems take it to ts talk to the generals.

And for people to say we must be bad to team up are a joke! just the other week we had 3 large gangs form an alliance to take us down to which none of them had the same background stories! the UNMC backstory is actually pretty hard to remember and if caught of guard most will just say a few random bit from what they remember.

But the police and UNMC teams up in gunfights because they cant take them out on their own. At every bank the rebels have UNMC and cops shooting at them.
we have no way of making money! sooooo we take yours and as for saying we are too weak when was the last time PLF beat us? Remember when we took your 20million off you?

This is a good discussion, people can release their inner thoughts and get out the salt here instead of in-game.

To answer some of the questions then :)

Seems to me like the UNMC and the police are not strong alone. They need to team up to take out the big gangs.
Well this is very wrong, especially coming from a member of a gang that lost at-least 30+ million to us but anyway... Yes, the police are not strong alone but they don't NEED us to help them "do there job", there job isn't to fight rebels all the time, rebels need to lay off the police and stop being dicks to them, they are outnumbered and outgunned in every fight, they have better things to do than die constantly and deal with bank ops.

On top of that, UNMC do not need anyone to help, we fight our own battles, we don't call on help from the police, when we stole all your gold, the police didn't help us then, they just let us do our business.

We've helped the police twice as mentioned and one of those were when the police couldn't move without being initiated on by rebels.

The UNMC and Police have a common enemy, if we can wipe out their enemy and get paid 20 million+ in gold at the same time, why not do it, the police also have no loss of life and they get to scrap a few Ifrits and confiscate rebel weaponry from it, within roleplay this makes sense where we are cutting off the rebels supply of money so they lay off the police.

Go on then tell us the background. Cuz Ive asked about 10 members in game and no UNMC seems to know. Plus it seems to change all the time too. One day you're ok with the drugs, the other you're stopping evil drug dealers. Same with guns, Im utterly lost tbh.
Now onto this one, I do believe the UNMC background story was released to the public through this post:

If you really need to know the background story, it's a good read and you'll gain some knowledge along the way.

You can also see a "fragile" ceasefire was setup between the UNMC and the Police force, both parties deciding that this was the best way to keep peace between the sides. Through actions of both the UNMC Soldiers and the Police Officers on the island, the ceasefire "ceased" to exist after multiple gunfights, the police had to rollover in these gunfights and the UNMC walked all over the island, the police Chief's ordered a meeting with the General's to talk about those events, it was decided upon a once again, very fragile this time ceasefire where both sides would stay out of eachothers ways, we let the police go about their daily duties and they let us away with our duties. Neither side needs a war breaking out between them and with the high rebel concentration on the island targeting both sides, it is in the best interest that we as UNMC don't have the rebels AND police against us.

We do not jump in on bank ops, we rob the gold while in transportation, this is after the police has died and given up, we decide to get a good paycheck and if the rebels lose all their money and we gain all of it, why wouldn't we take the chance.

Stop being salty, get on with the GAME and enjoy yourselves, no point losing sleep typing needless comments, sort it out in-game through roleplay if you guys remember what that is.
