Why do you think you were banned: I was banned under a couple rules which I'd like to explain in more detail below. I was also given a 6 month cooldown on my last appeal (https://www.roleplay.co.uk/threads/unban-appeal-lucyy-gta-rp.425372/) but I would like to get my point across as I feel like some wires have been crossed here and there is some major confusion.
Why should we unban you: Firstly, I appreciate the time any member of staff takes to read this.
C1.2 Discrimination - the only thing I can think of for me to be banned under this would be because I made a joke in the Groups discord that Cutlass members (their characters) were illiterate as they always "spell stuff wrong" e.g. they call Dutch London "Cutch London". This was aimed at their characters, not themselves ooc. At about 4am the same night I had seen that I was @ed by Kash but was unable to reply as I was 12 minutes in to a 24 hour cool down. I was going to reply to his @ and tell him that I meant no offence to his group ooc and it was a comment on their characters in game. When I saw I was banned in the morning I then also tried to add Kash on discord to be able to dm him and ask him to pass on my apologies to any of his members that took offence to what I said as it was never meant as an insult to themselves ooc. The friend request wasn't accepted so I am unable to send that message.
C.18 - Encouraging Rule Breaks - Forcing or encouraging another member of the community to break a rule. Now this is where I believe some confusion has come in. At no point was my conversation with Owen a serious one. We were two friends joking around. None of what were were talking about was "RP information". The joke stemmed from a conversation had with Owen on Grove Street in game about us taking over Azteca turf (again a joke). Also the screenshot of me posted by Stuart saying "I have passed on the message..." I didn't pass on anything as there was nothing to pass on. The whole thing was a joke between friends. I never forced or encouraged anyone else to break a rule. Owen knew it was a joke, Matthew who chimed in also knew it was a joke hence his "we'll have to share a bed" comment. If staff didn't see it as a joke all I can do is apologise?
As for "going behind a decision made by staff leads in relation to compensation" that's also a bit broad. I spoke to a friend about the fact comps were being denied. If I wanted to "go behind a decision" or "kick up a fuss" I wouldn't have dm'd a friend about it and I would have taken it to a public channel? Instead I spoke to a friend who could clear it up. All I said on the matter is that it was shit they started declining comps after accepting some.
And in terms of having it in my head that "staff have it out for Grove" - I don't remember me myself voicing this opinion? Do I believe it? I'm not too sure tbh. Do other people hold that opinion? Absolutely. But I am quite able to make up my own mind and whilst other people may be voicing this opinion publicly I ask you not to tar me with the same brush. If I hold that opinion, it is my opinion, but I have no intentions of going into every public channel and announcing "THE STAFF TEAM HAVE IT OUT FOR GROVE STREET" because it simply isn't true. IF I held that opinion I wouldn't tar the whole of the staff team with the same brush. But I don't believe that to be a conversation for the forums.
I haven't decided on any route. If I wanted to intentionally break rules I wouldn't have had a near perfectly clean record before this, and I barely play the server anymore as it is (for reasons I am also happy to discuss) so I wouldn't say I "need a break" either. If any staff are willing to sit in a call and discuss this ban to air out any confusion that may be had I am more than happy to do so. Again, I believe this whole thing is just one confused mess. I was banned for having a joke with a friend in discord. I am more than happy to clear this whole thing up in a call. If not, and you would like to keep the 6 month cooldown imposed cool, it is what it is, there would be no point sitting here arguing over it for 6 months. But if anyone is willing to discuss it so am I.
