Hello,

I wish to appeal my C1.6 ban that i received last Wednesday regarding certain video that was streamed on Twitch.

I was first made average of the video by a close friend of mine. He sent it in a Discord that we speak in. I do not believe that he knew what the video was going to turn out to be. I watched for for approx 20 minutes which was mostly frag montages and funny moments. I also saw that the video was titled something along the lines of "End of An Era" which again didn't give me or anyone else an indication what it was going to turn out to be.

The video started to stream the doxing, and myself and the person that sent it to me reported it to Twitch. A couple minutes later it was removed. I'm assuming staff did the same.

We were obviously moved into a channel by Liam as we had been seen on the viewers list of the video. I accept wholly that i was watching it, however as above, i thought it was just a fragtage/goodbye video.

We had what i would describe as a sensible conversation regarding moving forward, where i openly said that i wasn't comfortable saying who sent me the video. This is because it was said that people who sent the video, would be reported to the authorities. Ill explain why later.

This was accepted by Staff and we continued the conversation. The conversation ended and we went back to our channel.

Approximately 5 to 10 minutes later, Staff joined the channel and i have made the completely immature off the cuff comment "(insert senior staff members name here) sent me the video". It was stupid, immature and thoughtless. I have spoken to this staff member numerous times and i believe he is someone that i get along with. We talk about Police things and Dev things as i was a member of the crayon club.

Like i said, it was a stupid comment which has ended me up in this mess.

You then told me that i need to say or i will receive a ban myself. I appreciate why you said this, but i honestly believed i have a reason for not saying, especially in a public channel.

I will tell you now as i know the person has since come forward.

I was sent the link by my friend. This person has a IRL circumstance that is very relatable to me. It involves employment. Some people know in the channel what that is, but much like this incident, i didn't think it was appropriate to disclose personal information to people that do not know or know the extent of. If a staff member would like more information on this, i will be happy to discuss in DMs. Ironically, now i understand the seriousness of disclosing personal information online.

Whilst watching the stream, it was also linked in RPU chat by another person who i have been told has also since come forward. Again, i don't think this second person knew what the stream was going to come too.

So that's why reasons why i didn't want to say, and i accept my attitude of making a joke was wholly inappropriate and im aware that Aiden described me afterwards as a "flippant little cunt" which from my actions, i dont disagree with. I believe that my reason was appropriate but the way i went around it was completely incorrect. Frankly, i should have just shut the f**k up.

This is not some "dribble" apology that you see on the forums, i actually mean it and pissed off with myself for opening my trap.

Since my ban, i have managed to contact a staff lead and provide a list of names which were also going to be in the video. I wont divulge how i got this list here, but i will be happy to explain it in DMs.

Why should we unban you ?: 

I have been on the FiveM server since December 2021. I have never been reported. Ive worked my way up in the Police to the Rank of Inspector of the Road Crime Team. I would consider myself of having a good quality of RP and have made some good friends and scenes along the way. I have been RPing since Xmas 2014, and whilst not on this community, have never received a ban on any communities. I play RP for fun and i did used to look forward to "hopping on" (not in that context) the server and playing with mates.

My actions and words on the night were incorrect and i would like to carry on my characters story, who was about to have some interesting RP with the Courts.

I was added to the crayon club, with the hopes of joining the Dev team. I absolutely accept this is out of the question now but i think this shows that i had good intentions on the server. When i got banned, i provided a video to a senior staff member of me deleing the files fro my computer. I have no malice against this community and i am not the type of person to seek revenge.

I also have some IRL things to explain which i dont want to divulge in this report. But if the staff member that reviews it could contact me, i can offer context around it.

As for the rule itself, i understand the Staff teams right to remove people from the community, but i am not here to "be disruptive" or "cause issues". I think i had a stupid momentary lapse of judgement. I obviously understand how those videos can serious affect staff members and why, what i said was not mature.

Since my ban, a wise person has told me "Think - Press - Speak" which is something i will absolutely bare in mind in the future.

I would also like to personally apologise to Aiden and Stavik. Whilst i did not have anything to do with the production or sharing of the video, i can see why my distasteful jokes would have caused some serious unnecessary stress.

I also understand that if i didnt speak, then we probably would have been able to have another sensible conversation on the night where i would be able to explain myself and i wouldn't be writing this appeal.

This was an honest, stupid and immature mistake which will never happen again. I think i should get a second chance.

How are we today? 

You've got yourself in a very serious situation here...one that will be very difficult (if possible even) to climb out of. 
I think everyone appreciates all your stuff you did for Police, both as an inspector and as a crayon club member. 

I am glad to see that you're taking responsibility and see the error of your ways, the only bit that scares me is....what IF, situations. 
What if something like this was to happen again?
What if something worse of this caliber was to happen again? 
 
From your point you can see that the trust has been destroyed and spat on by yourself, and it will be difficult to even consider re-building.

I understand that at that time you thought this was jokes, giggles, and what not with your dev/staff friend, but given the level of stress this has caused to numerous people, and how serious everyone in staff was taking the situation, finding things, left, right, center,  to ensure no one has their stuff doxed by some idiots who got banned, you can see the seriousness in this situation. - Throwing a staffs name like that would be met with a correct response, which is to remove you from the community (given where we are right now). 

I am also glad to hear that you've deleted all RPUK files provided to you via Crayon Club Access, if you wouldn't mind DMing me the person's name you've sent this proof to of removing said stuff (just so I can check on the credibility of your comment).

I've a question for you; 
Have you recorded the whole thing? - If so, why? Why were you giggling while watching said video? 
How would we as staff know a bad judgement like this, which we all can agree on is a very bad judgement given the sensitivity of information that was shared, how do we know this won't happen again and or worse? 

It's very-very disappointing to see a VERY clean account, no bans, nothing, and the first thing you receive is a C1.6.

I completely agree and understand the situation and the action that was taken on the night. I appreciate the recognition for the stuff for the Police and Crayon Club but this in no way takes away from what i said.

I appreciate and understand the concern. I wont explain everything here, ill drop you a DM. In short, some things have stopped and changed which mitigates the risk of further incidents.

This is the first time i have said anything of this "caliber" in the nearly 18 months i have been playing this community as my primary source of entertainment. Like i said, ill explain more in a DM why the risk of anything else is low.

As above, i have no issue with the response and i have apologised to the staff member i said it about directly. Ill explain more in DM.

I think i've said it already to another staff member but ill let you know. I want to stress that person doesnt affiliate with 229 in any way and wouldn't have known what was going to happen.

I think i did have a recording of the ban because of Shadowplay. I dont think i have a recording of the twitch stream and im 99% sure i didnt keep the recording. I clean my PC regularly due to limited disk space. I usually have a "clear out" every couple of days. I watched the Twitch Stream in private so i cant remember any "giggling". 

As ill explain in DM, some things have changed and i think my previous lack of bans etc shows that this is not "regular behaviour" for me or something i aim to be like.

It's very-very disappointing to see a VERY clean account, no bans, nothing, and the first thing you receive is a C1.6. 

Again, i think this shows a complete lack of judgement rather than me purposefully wanting to be involved in drama.

Let's say you'd be said staff member that you threw the joke about, how would you feel? 
Said member raised their hand to offer it to you, you accepted it, but in an immature moment you decided to throw it away. 

I wonder what was the reply of said member when you apologized? 
Did they accept it well? Did they ignore you? 

How would you react if you were in said members shoes? 
Would you accept the apology? Would you react well to said situation? 

Ultimately, I want to know why should we unban you for something so serious as C1.6.

I’m typing this on my phone so please excuse any bad spelling and grammar.

In a honestly, I’d like two things from this appeal. First of all, the opportunity to apologies to Aiden and Stacie specifically as well as the other staff members involved. And secondly, a second chance to be apart of the community that I dedicated so much of my time to and enjoyed playing and talking to people.

In my opinion, what I did in the night was inexcusable but taking into account my good history on the server and what I DMed you about, I would give myself a second chance. 
It was a stupid, stupid thing to say and was a mistake that I deeply regret. But as I explained, I don’t think it reflects “me” as a person but more of a bad decision.

I have explained that I know my mistake, what I should have done and what steps I’m going to take in the future to prevent it happening again.

In terms of my characters, I spent 99.9% of my time as my Police character. I worked hard to get to the position that I was in. I explained in DMs the steps I would be taking forward and honestly don’t think my “story” should be affected because of this. Police is why I played the server.

I want to stress in no way did I partake in making or distributing the video. If a video was made like that about me, I would feel exactly the same as the staff members involved. I’d be worried out my privacy and security and the “what happens next”. 
The last thing I’d want is a “flippant little cunt” making immature jokes. As per my first reply, I completely agree with being called this and the action that was taken on the night.

In terms of the staff member I named in the joke, I would feel much the same as they did, and betrayed that someone I trusted threw it back in my face. However, I’d also recognise that it was more of a “bad decision” with serious consequences at her than that person being a “bad person”. I think I made a bad decision.

I messaged the staff member straight away, apologised and showed deleting the files. We talked about how emotions were rightfully high and best thing I could do is create an appeal. In my option they “accepted it well” but you’d have to speak to them.

At the time, I didn’t know that staff member was also on the video. But I’m sure they were as annoyed at my comment as much as I was. I’m not sure their view on it now but like I have said before, I’ve seen the error of my ways and think I’d give myself a second chance.

Thanks for your reply to my appeal.

I completely agree with you regarding a reputation.

In short, I have learned to just be quiet and if I think I’m at risk of saying or doing something f stupid which is going to negatively effect someone else, then it’s best to just zip it.

”don’t speak unless spoken to” comes to mind as well as what I put in the first post, “think-press-speak”.

I wouldn’t like to add anything else at the moment, but I’m happy to clarify anything else if staff require.

I’m hoping the stuff discussed with Mike in private has been passed on so I won’t cover that again.

We have taken into consideration your replies and the context that you have provided to Mike.

As a wise man once said “Mistakes are always forgivable if one has the courage to admit them.” 

Harry you are unbanned but this is under the condition that if you're banned in the next 6 months you will return back to a perm ban and will not be able to appeal again after 2 months.
