In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned for RDVM (G1.1) which was 1000% fair and understandably bannable, this is due to the fact that first of all I was RDVM'ing and it was only against my friends which makes it worse as we were in a discord call, I completely understand why I was banned for this. I was also banned for exploiting (C2.2), again I fully understand why I was banned as I was creating other profiles to swap to in order to gain money I had lost or if I had died, which is also combat logging. While I wouldn't say this is necessarily exploiting as there was no transferring of money, duplication of money etc. I can still see why it is bannable. I was lastly banned due to the aforementioned combat logging, I think the specific time I was "caught" was when an AI ran me over and I logged off the server entirely, this is understandably bannable and I accept that especially since I know I did it previous to that situation. I apologise for all of this.

Why should we unban you ?: I think it would be acceptable to unban me as I now want to actually play this server and take it seriously, and I will not break rules nor be careless, in contrast to before where I was merely playing because my friends wanted me to and I did not care whether I got banned. I deeply apologise for my previous actions, I would like a second chance and I accept that if I do break just one rule even slightly, I am willing to accept a permanent ban with no chance to appeal. I am truly sorry and would deeply appreciate a second chance.

You broke C2.2 when you created numerous characters with their sole purpose of going to the casino in hopes to win big. This isn't why the feature of 4 characters was made, therefore you've attempted to exploit the system.

You were banned in Feb 2023, told that you could've appealed in March but didn't do this, why appeal now? What have you been up to?

Hello, sorry for the late reply. I've been busy with work, University and other aspects of life which is why I haven't been playing much games, and also why I didn't reply very fast. Anytime I have managed to play we just played games like Valorant or Rocket League as me and my friend group like to rotate games quite frequently which is why I didn't appeal in March, but as we rotate games we eventually got back to GTA and I suggested we try RP again, which is why I have since appealed. I understand that it is exploiting the system and it wasn't the intended purpose for the 4 character system, apologies.

What do you think we are looking for on this server? Give me an example of what you would like to do with your time here, should you be unbanned.

Hello, what I mentioned before was when I wasn't taking the server seriously as I previously did not want to play the game seriously. However now a few months on, I would like to play and take it seriously, I want to get into the gang scene and become a sort of drug king pin with one of my friends who has already made a start, I would like to develop my character into a full time criminal that's involved in almost all crime but still is at heart a drug king pin.

Sorry to continue adding to my appeal but I missed a crucial part of what I meant to say, the reason I did not want to play the game seriously at the start was in hopes of my friends getting bored and quitting which is what eventually happened. This makes it entirely possible for you to think, "oh why wouldn't it be the same again?" which is entirely understandable and reasonable. The reason this won't happen is because I am genuinely invested in enjoying time on the server as I now no longer have time for such intense games, I would like something to chill out on, I have also been watching gameplay of the server when my friends play and some more gameplay on YouTube to gain a better understanding of the server and when played right it seems genuinely very enjoyable, interactive and mellow (for the most part). It is the ideal game for what I'm currently looking for with the limited time I have to play games, and for my taste in games currently as I am starting to find games like rust and other survival / continued story games extremely fun. I think I would be a valuable member of the community if and only if given a second chance to play the game properly. Thanks for reading, Typh.

I am sorry about the bumping, I wasn't aware that adding additional information would be classed as bumping I thought bumping was more like "when will I be unbanned" or "can you hurry up and look at my appeal" or something not too dissimilar. I apologise for the bumping and can assure you that something like this would not happen in game for a multitude of reasons. First, I look over the rules every time I reply on this forum, I know them inside and out and could recite them and give an example for each. Furthermore, I have a want to actually play the game as I have seen lots of gameplay from the server and it looks genuinely enjoyable, so long as, rules are adhered to and the pursuit of true RP is followed. I would like to partake in the server, mingling in gang activity through both legitimate and illegitimate hustles, such as hunting, car modding, drug selling and many others. When involving myself in the server I will not break any rules as I want to partake in the aforementioned activities, but also become a valued and memorable member of the community and also on the server. I can also assure you that I won't break rules as I especially do not want to be in this situation again, where I want to play a game but cannot because of my stupidity in the past. I take full responsibility for my actions, and I genuinely believe that my attitude towards games has deeply changed, and this will not happen again. To expand on this point, I would like to explain my thinking for this; When I played the game previously, I was an immature school student that only wanted to play games and took them for granted, I would get annoyed EXTREMELY easily and lash out, getting angry, breaking rules and breaking physical real life items (headphones, controllers etc...) however, since my ban I have been going to University, got a job, and am now in a healthy relationship and find it hard to get angry at anything, let alone the games that I now see as a privilege, and do not take for granted as I now have very little time to play, due to the previously mentioned aspects of life. Due to me becoming more mature and viewing games in a different light, I have not broken rules on games or been banned in over 6 months, whereas before it was a common occurrence for me to be communication banned (when I would lash out at teammates and enemies in game chat when angry), I would also often receive game bans because of how often I would get communication banned, and I deeply regret breaking these rules as I now cannot play some games I would really like to play for a fun time with friends. For these reasons, I know that I will not break any rules as I have very limited time to play and just play games for fun now rather than to win. I deeply regret breaking rules in general but especially on this server as I know have to spend my few hours I have to play games, just watching my friends play instead of playing myself, I know that I won't do anything like it again and that I just want to have some light-hearted fun with friends and hopefully meet some more new friends on the server. I understand that me knowing that means nothing, as I need you to know but I've done my best to try and communicate that to you. Thanks, Typh.

Hi @Liamhope you're doing good.

I've not been around since march as I have been caught up with University, work, driving and my relationship, I haven't had a whole lot of time to do many things of my own such as playing games or climbing or other activities that I enjoy for the mentioned reasons. I also haven't been super interested in sitting at my desk all day since it was summer and I could go outside and do other things (when I had the time), but now as its coming to the end of summer and it being the UK with the terrible weather I've found myself at my desk more often than being outside enjoying the "good" weather. For this reason I have came back to playing more games and would be interested in playing on this server again, for a few reasons; the first being that this is the only actually good server from what I can see as no other compares to the high level of RP, the clean design of the server, the amount of things you can do, no other server comes close. Another reason is that my friends play on this server, which is how I can see that it is good compared to the other servers I've been playing because of my ban. I would like to enjoy my time playing GTARP with my friends rather than alone which is how it has been for a while (during the time I've been appealing my ban here), mostly because we all share a similar passion for RP, whereas on the other RP servers you get people who don't play seriously (I know how ironic it is for me to say that but I'll explain how and why I want to seriously RP after this), or who are just not as passionate about a good RP experience, and I know playing with my friends will bring me the experience that I desire. The third and final reason I would like to play on this server instead of the others is because I do know have a deep rooted passion for a genuine high level of roleplay, which I know you mentioned that it seems like I did not want to play seriously, which is an understandable completely valid point considering I didn't at the time, I did not play seriously, I was breaking rules without caring thinking it won't even matter because it's "just my friends" which makes 0 sense since at the end of the day it is in fact still a rule break and 100% justifiably bannable. To be honest I do not think this will help my case at all, especially regarding the question you asked and I am trying to answer, but I want to be transparent and tell you exactly how I felt the first time I played, I did not want to play GTARP, it was just my friends wanted to play and of course they're my friends so I joined in, with the thought of "we won't play again in a week, I'll just fanny about and wait to switch back to another game" in the hopes of just not having to play. Now this doesn't make any sense considering I could just play another game myself, but personally I don't enjoying playing games alone which I know isn't an excuse and I wish I just played another game, since I am now having to try and get unbanned through no fault of my own, no disrespect to you guys, I think you guys were right to ban me to protect others experience. Again, I understand why you might second guess why I now want to RP seriously, considering the past, although I have been playing a semi-decent amount on other RP servers and haven't quite made a name for myself because the experience isn't good enough to play for long periods, but I have used the other servers to gain a better understanding of RP and how to play properly, I feel I am ready to play seriously on this server as I do have a genuine passion to play the game solemnly, and I know given a second chance I can prove that. I strongly believe that in the future I will maintain my desire to play and will always have a strong motive towards playing properly with serious yet fun RP, I know that given a second chance I will follow rules strictly as I'm supposed to, and branch out to as many aspects of the server as I can to maintain a high level of gameplay / roleplay on the server. I know that I am capable and ready and have a want to play on this server. All I ask is a second chance to prove myself to you, as I have tried my best to convey how I feel towards the server in the past, present and future. I also thank you for recognising the time and effort taken to write these appeals and hope you can take that into consideration when making your decision.

C2.2 - Exploiting - Using or attempting to use any exploits in any of our community game servers such as but not limited to duplication of items or money, transferring/processing items through walls and windows or bypassing intended animations. Punishment is a permanent ban without appeal. If you discover an exploit that nobody else knows about, please reveal it to a staff member privately in order to ensure that it does not get abused in the future.

Exploiting is taking advantage of unintentional hidden aspects within a games mechanics or systems, in order to gain an unfair advantage over other players, or to boost progress in such a way that was unintended - which is what happened in my case. The exploits can vary for example; duplication of money, transferring items through walls, or bypassing animations. These are extremely powerful bugs and are used by malicious people in order to cheat the game for their own advantage, if an exploit is found it should be reported to admins and not abused, like I did with the other profiles. It is very unethical as it ruins the game for everyone, including the person doing the exploits and on a server that is heavily involved with other players such as RP, it can have even larger implications than something like a single player game.

The rules against exploiting are extremely important to have on any game, especially a RP server where 1 exploit can change the fundamental aspects of the game being played, where even 1 player exploiting can ruin the game for every other player. I believe that exploiting should have no excuses on the server regardless of how big or how small, and I am personally quite glad to have seen action taken against me for exploiting, as I know that hopefully given a second chance I can play on a legit server where I know all money has been made legitimately whereas on other RP servers there has been situations where exploiters have been allowed to continue playing and been "more successful" than other legit players. This is why I personally hate exploiters and exploiting particularly in online multi-player games, and why I believe that rules against them are a great thing to keep strict to on a server.

C2.3 - Combat logging - Logging out at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).

Combat logging is where a player in a game, online or offline, quits the game or logs off before death, I personally would also class this as exploiting. It can happen in gunfights, when in a car-chase with the police or other players, on this server in particular when dead and awaiting help from the NHS, or many other scenarios, bottom line is if you are avoiding any sort of punishment I.E. death or arrest and you log off, its exploiting, which as mentioned before, is an extremely serious offence.

I believe that it is an extremely important rule, possibly the most as it ruins the RP experience for anyone hindered by it, as any form of combat logging can either benefit a player, or hinder another players progress, ruining the RP experience for one, and benefitting the playing experience for another. In my case I was ran over by a CPU and I logged off. While this did not hinder any other players experience, it benefitted me in the sense that when I logged back on I wouldn't be dead. This is a very serious offence that has no place on the server and again is good to have seen action taken against, as I believe it is cheating the system regardless of how big or how small the offence is. I have personally experienced issues involving combat logging on other games / servers, whether it be Minecraft or other RP servers. It's extremely frustrating to play against and it simply cheating the game if a player does it. I personally believe it is one of the worst rules to break as it directly hinders others progress in the game.

G1.1 - Random Vehicle Death Match (RVDM) - Using your vehicle as a weapon (Running players over, causing explosions, ramming player vehicles) without a valid roleplay reason is considered RVDM.

RVDM is when a player uses a car to hinder others' experience in ways including but not limited to; running players over, using them to cause explosions, destroying other players cars or blocking entrances / exits etc.) It is used to hinder the progress of other players and ruin the playing experience for everyone.

I believe it is one of the most important rules on the server as it is almost impossible for it to be used in a practical sense to make progress (which even if it was it's still unacceptable and bannable), the sole reason for people doing it is because they want to ruin the game for others. It is often used in anger or to get revenge on someone which is why it should be the most adhered to rule on the server and any time it occurs should be an almost inexcusable ban. I can only think of one scenario where it can occur and be excused - which would be when an uninvolved player gets ran over in a police chase due to the driving nature of a escapee in a police chase. I believe it has such an important place on the server as every players experience would be unenjoyable if they got constantly ran over and could not play the game. This means that the server would not be taken seriously and people wouldn't play the server for long causing it to die out which again, would ruin all the players time on the server. These are the reasons that lead me to believe it is one of if not the most important rule on the server as without it, the server probably wouldn't even be where it is today as no one would play it.
