Server: GTA RP
Character Name: Jay Thorne
Steam ID: 76561198042281958
Ban ID (just the numbers): 5697
Ban Reason: C2.1
Why do you think you were banned: I was banned because, upon the advice of a friend, I voluntarily approached the admins and self-reported my use of this software.
Why should we unban you: First and foremost, I want to express my sincere apologies to the community, the staff, and the developers for my actions. I fully acknowledge that what I did was wrong and completely against the spirit of fair play and community trust. I take full responsibility for my actions and understand the gravity of my mistake.

Understanding My Actions

When I first joined Roleplay.co.uk, I was immediately captivated by the GTA RP experience. It became a significant part of my daily routine, and I deeply enjoyed the immersive storytelling and the friendships I formed. Unfortunately, as I became more involved in gang RP, I lost sight of the fact that this was just a game and became overly obsessed with my gang’s success.

This obsession led me to a regrettable decision: I began using modification software in a misguided attempt to protect my gang and enhance our RP scenarios. Despite not having used the cheats in an actual gunfight, the mere presence of the software on my system was a breach of trust and integrity.

Lessons Learned

The ban was a wake-up call for me. It forced me to step back and re-evaluate my priorities, both in gaming and in real life. Over the past three years, I have worked hard to become a better person. I have focused on controlling my actions and ensuring that my love for gaming does not overshadow my sense of fairness and community.

Positive Changes

I have spent the last three years reflecting on my behaviour and its impact on others. I have taken steps to ensure I never fall into the same trap again. This includes:

1. Perspective Shift: Understanding that games are meant to be enjoyed fairly and that winning at all costs is not worth compromising one’s integrity.

2. Community Engagement: Playing on other servers has made me realize how much I miss Roleplay.co.uk and the people I met there. I have been engaging positively in other gaming communities, always adhering strictly to their rules.

3. Future Contributions: If given another chance, I plan to contribute positively to the community. One idea I had before being banned was to set up a parkour school in Los Santos, creating new and exciting RP opportunities for players.
Addressing the Context

I understand that cheating is a serious offence, and I do not take this lightly. I am aware that there have been known exploiters who caused significant harm to the server's integrity and were later given a second chance. I fully admit that I had the software, it was open, and I sent a picture to a friend who persuaded me to tell the admins. However, I never used it in a gunfight. My kill record, including that of my character Jay Thorns, supports this claim, as there have been little to no kills attributed to the modifications.

Conclusion

I understand if the decision remains the same, but I hope you will consider my sincere desire to make amends and contribute positively to Roleplay.co.uk. The person I am today is not the same person who made those mistakes three years ago. I have grown, learned from my errors, and am committed to maintaining a fair and enjoyable environment for all players.

I humbly ask for a second chance to prove that I am now a responsible and trustworthy member of the community. Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal. I will accept any decision you come to.

Whilst indeed you did come clean about this after sending out an image the facts would still remain that you did in fact cheat here on RPUK. Whilst it has been three years the risk factor would still be there as a whole and us needing to protect members of the community as a whole to have a free/clean time playing.

As I'm sure you can appreciate we do have a zero tolerance on cheating as a whole, So indeed the decision would still remain the same.

I do however wish you all the best moving forth!
