Firstly, I hope that whoever is reading this is having a good day
Having read through some other ban requests I noticed that a lot were denied for lack of content/effort in the application and wish to rectify my above appeal to add context and substance with the following:

Why should we unban you: Having played RPUK for the last 2 days, I've thoroughly enjoyed my time on the server. Having started with just me, then me and another friend, before tonight having 6 of us playing together on the server at once was amazing. It reminded me of the times we'd spend on discord together playing regular GTA:O during lockdown with not a care in the world. We'd spent all of tonight playing and had a good laugh, having drinks, as well as overall enjoying ourselves whilst playing. It was to the point where anything became funny, and with us all becoming older and having work, university, and familial commitments it was a rare time in which we could all play together and forget about anything from the outside.
One such friend had the idea of starting a group chat for our gang "the Jackson 5", and as such invited us all to it and asked us to use a test message in the group to ensure it was working. I foolishly used a discriminatory term in order to test if it was working, and it resulted in the above ban. I instantly realised my mistake and regret it completely.
I admit that in previous years I have used such discriminatory language with other friend groups, however over time have come to realise the harm and impact such language can cause upon individuals and groups and I have distanced myself from the use of such language and educated myself on the effects in which it can distress individuals. I have since detached myself from and completely disassociated from those such groups, and have finally found a group which encourages me to better myself as a person and have aided me strongly in condemning such bigoted ideals and helped me into the person I am today. The difference between me from a time passed to today, I believe, is chalk and cheese, and upon my use of such a term I was immediately challenged by my friends for the use of such racist and discriminatory language, especially from those coming from ethnically-diverse backgrounds. It horrifies me to think of the impact which my use of language has caused upon them tonight having completely tarnished a wonderfully fun evening we were having.
I can appreciate the position in which you, the mod team, are in, in the sense that I do not have a track record of good behaviour/am not a reputable roleplayer in the community. I do not have a series of good interactions to base my good character off, neither do I have a clean rap-sheet spanning any length of time and that using such language is not only in the rule list, but it is top-bar-one.
I do not believe that tonight's incident is a reflection of my overall character as a person, and I am willing to do anything in order to have another chance at engaging successfully in the roleplaying community here on RPUK. I'd made an application to become NHS in the game earlier tonight as I wished to commit to the community in the long-term and help people enjoy the game through roleplaying and not being injured for extended periods of time. I want to express any willingness I can to engage in the community long-term, and unfortunately tonight I seem to have spoiled it through a neglect of rational thought, common decency and plain stupidity. I would not dream of using such language to anybody in any context, weaponised or not, and only did so tonight due to a completely unjustifiable decision to use such language and am only grateful that it was in such a private context that did not cause wider offence to the RPUK community.
If unbanned, I would strive towards becoming an engaging member of the RPUK community, and attempt to cement myself among the staples of the RPUK server which has been built by those who have put so much time, effort, and hard work into it.
I pride myself on being an open and honest person, and not one of bigot or hate-filled ideals and morals. As mentioned, I have educated myself about how the use of such language can cause anguish to those in a community, especially when engaging in a form of escapism from the cruelties of the modern world.
I am happy to answer any queries, questions, challenges or otherwise from the mod team here at RPUK and I hope that I can display to you that I can become a good-standing member of the RPUK community in time given the chance.
