Why do you think you were banned: I was originally banned for C2.2 exploiting when a lot of people received a ban for 3rd person shooting, additionally on my last appeal, the report that was approved was for G2.4, therefore I thought I should also address this here now back when I was asked.
Why should we unban you: The ban that was issued to me was C2.2, 3rd person camera shooting. It has been a while since my ban and I have had a lot of time to think about the instances that had led me to this section of the forums. Like I said previously I had never used 3rd person shooting to gain an advantage over anybody, rather shoot at tires of friends when messing around, I understand that this shouldn’t have taken place now as it’s still breaching the features implemented into the server, and doing so also breaches server rules. It was stupid of me to do this at the time and I do wish to apologise for my breaches on my behalf, at the time I thought it would be fine as it never gave me an upper hand on other player as I didn’t intend to use it in a malicious way regardless it shouldn’t have occurred.

Moving onto the report that was actioned after I was banned for G2.4 (Value of Life), this was a bit of a peculiar situation for me, the reason I had felt I was valuing my life was due to the numerous pieces of information I had at the time, overhearing that one of the Vagos members had no bullets left, and previous information provided to me that Gavin was going to flip on Vagos giving me belief that he would assist me at the dodgy doctor, balancing the scales in the situation in my eyes. When the situation took place I had incapacitated one of the Vagos members and was downed upon, whilst Gavin tried to maintain his “Insider” role in Vagos, Gavin then alerted the rest of Vagos to dispose of the remaining members as a larger roleplay encounter between the two beefing gangs at the time.

Looking back on this situation, I see how at the time the player that posted the report saw this as NVL as they believed Gavin was still part of Vagos and had no idea what Gavin’s real intentions were, still painting it as a 3v1 situation as weapons were still aimed at me, regardless of if they had any bullets or not.

I'm glad that I had been issued a cooldown, originally on my previous appeal, as it allowed me to take a longer period of time to reflect on my previous interactions on the server and situations where I may have not conducted myself accordingly within the server rules, I had looked back on each situation and had looked back on the way I reacted in situations.

I want to ensure staff that I hold this community to a high standard, it’s a server I enjoy spending my time on, there’s no other one like it. I know that if given the chance I will have to prove myself to the staff which is something I want to do, I want to paint a clear picture that I am here to provide high standard of roleplay towards the community, with new storylines and encounters.Therefore I hope that you can consider my appeal and grant me a chance to prove that I can abide by the server rules as well as provide great situations towards the community that I do want to remain apart of.

I'm not sure if I'm surprised to see you in this section of the forums again or not?
This is now your 5th permanent ban, I'm going to need a very good reason to entertain this appeal, we're not going to keep giving you chance after chance here.

Thank you for taking the time to deal with my appeal, I understand that this being my 5th time here in the appeal section is not a good look and I know that faith in me may be low, but I can assure you I am not trying to form a pattern here or maintain a decline in my appearance within the community, rather the opposite, I want to change how I am perceived amongst staff and the community and show everyone that I know better than ending up here time and time again.


It has been a while since the original rulebreak happened, and I can’t necessarily remember if I had abused this feature in the essence to gain advantage over others, but I can assure you that I did use it when messing about with friends regardless this should have never happened and I will hold my hands up to this and admit that I had done it, whilst I thought it would have been fine to just mess about I know better now that it wasn’t, it still breached policy and once again it put me within the appeal section, rightfully.

I broke policy and broke trust amongst staff in me as a player of this community and this was never my intention, each time I'm within the community I attempt to create engaging and fun experiences for people to see and be a part of.

If you allow me to return, I am determined to change my reputation, and show that I can abide by the server rules and continue to create engaging roleplay opportunities for others.

I can tell you that you didn't only use this for "messing around", I know that you've used this to gain an advantage over other players during gunfights so my question is, why?
This does also have me wondering, how can't you remember it if you've purposely exploited and broken server rules?

Hi @Danoo, thanks for responding,

I don't necessarily remember as it was some time ago now, however If there have been instances where I had used to to gain an advantage over someone within a fight then the only reasoning I have for that is because I knew they had been using it against me, I know this is probably another let down on myself, however it’s the truth, due to the nature of people using it in fights and I’d notice it I’d try to level the playing field. I know better now that this was wrong as if someone’s breaking rules, that’s what liaison is for amongst the forums.

It wasn’t that I was trying to be malicious with the way I play the server but it wasn’t right and I do apologise for that, as I should have used the proper means and channels to deal with the situation rather than taking it upon myself, and breaking the rules myself which had led me to where I am now.

To be honest with you Danoo, I didn’t follow the proper channels but realising that I failed to do so now, has quite frankly made it obvious to me that I need to ensure I reach out to staff if someone is breaking rules rather than using my own way to get back at them, it was stupid of me to think that my approach was the right way to go about it, but over the time I have been away from the community and reflecting on my record within this past year I had a look at the way I have presented my appearance to the community and all I can say is that I want to fix that image and prove that I can do better than I have shown myself so far, this is the main reason I want to return, so I can fix what I have broken and improve and grow.

I want to show you and the remainder of the staff team that I am not here to cause grievances to others, I rather show that I can create enjoyable encounters and expand on my character's storyline whilst following the server rules.

This does lead me to the question you've likely heard before... Do you believe one rulebreak justifies another?
You've been in this community for so long now, you know how it works here yet you're able to become a part of the problem - if we never caught you then you'd have just continued gaining an advantage over other players.

At the time you were caught, no one around you was doing this so I see your excuse doesn't match anyway.

To answer your question, no, one rulebreak doesn’t justify another one, I do understand that the mindset I had was not appropriate, that’s what I have been thinking about over the time I have been banned, and I can admit that my judgement then was not right, it wasn’t adequate towards the servers standard and during the time I have been away I had time to speak with others and which has me thinking about the community differently as a whole, regardless if someone breaks a rule, I should not follow suite, I can attest to that, therefore if I ever found myself in a similar situation, i’d let it play out to then call the person into liaison, if we couldn’t find a common ground the first thing i’d be doing is relaying it to the forums using the proper channels.

I can assure you that my intention was not to carry on using this exploit as I seen it as unfair in a general sense, that’s why the moment I had used it was when messing around as friends, I guess I found it just as it was doing no harm. But like I stated earlier the only reason I would have used it back then was if I felt like someone was using it themselves, im not trying to make excuses here, it’s the mindset I had at the time and with the time away I realise it was the wrong mindset to have which I want to apologise for and do better, I do not want to be part of the problem rather be the one to uphold the servers standard for high quality roleplay and common standard of the rules.

I must say, I do appreciate the effort that has gone into this appeal altogether - I have read everything you've put throughout this and even discussed it alongside a handful of other staff members.
Given your record, and what's been said here for now I am not willing to take the risk of allowing you back into this community. You've now had 5 permanent bans and of course we're not going to keep allowing members back again and again when our chances just get thrown back into our faces.

For now, this will remain a no.
