Reason given for your ban: Combat Logging

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: Banned due to combat logging in a arresting scenario

Why should we unban you ?: This was the first time playing GTA RP and my first server. Once I had loaded into the server I briefly glanced over the rules. I reliase I have treated the rules like terms and conditions on a software that you'd typically skip over (which is my mistake and now have reprehended my mistake and have properly read-over the rules). Having now gained experience in other servers I now understand RP rules are to be taken seriously, especially on a serious RP server such as GTA RPUK.

I understand I have broken the combat logging rule. The story to my knowledge behind what had happened in the scenario was: I was getting arrested and every time the officer had put me in handcuffs I had combat logged as I realised this allowed me to get out of the cuffs. I had done this 3 times each time being handcuffed.

I realise this was a stupid rookie mistake that I have done and could have easily avoided the situation by playing out the roleplay scenario. However, now that i have gained experience from other servers and re-read the rules on this server properly I believe I can now provide an adequate RP role within this server.

What kind of impact does behaviour like your have on other players and the community?

 
Hello @-Sammy-I appreciate the reply.

I've never had the intention of trolling I understand it may come across as that however, I feel as if I was creating connections within that server making new friends, developing my role-play abilities. I full well understand I have given the other party a rubbish RP scenario, in which I believe I've learnt my lesson over the span of the ban. In addition from learning from other servers a proper RP experience. Moving further on into the future I don't believe this can occur again. I hope to create better RP interactions with the entire community.

-Rule that was broken

"(G1.5) Powergaming - Forcing a scenario where no matter the roleplay of the other party you will win. Example: Roleplaying superpowers, roleplaying fatal injuries when they were only minor to avoid roleplaying with the emergency services, sealing buildings with cars to prevent entrance of other players, using knowledge of the rules within roleplay."

This rules in place to make it a fair gameplay experience for the community, without this people may gain an unfair upper hand advantages therefore resulting in a poor RP experience.

That is not the rule you were banned under. You were banned for C2.3. Have another look and try again. 

 
That's my bad sorry I thought it was that however, the rule which was broken:

"C2.3) Combat logging - Logging out at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first)."

This rule was placed in order to ensure a fair RP experience. In addition, it also ensures that everyone has a fun time within the server without anyone else ruining it, for example: "logging out whilst restrained/detained" which is specifically the rule that was broken in this scenario. If this rule was not placed then it would have consequences on the server as everyone would be able to get away with anything therefore, resulting in a poor RP experience.

Very well, I will go ahead and unban you. 

Please keep in mind that any ban within the next 6 months will be permanent and much harder to appeal. Do not waste this chance.
