Server: GTA RP
Character Name: Brian Lin
Steam ID: 76561199103807564
Ban ID (just the numbers): 19085
Ban Reason: (G4.5) When you have been revived - Due to your injuries, you must not enter any combat situation until at least 15 minutes have passed.
Why do you think you were banned: I was banned because I failed to follow G4.5 and after being revived I engaged into a combat situation too early and did not RP my Injuries and breached my previous ban commitments.
Why should we unban you: Hi Staff Team,

This is my third appeal and I’m fully aware of my past mistakes. My actions have not only damaged my reputation but have also made it difficult for others to trust me within this community. This time I’m not just asking to return I want to show you how much I’ve reflected on my actions and I have learned from my mistakes and changed since I was banned. I regret not following the rules correctly and I would like to prove that I can follow the rules and contribute to the community and maintain a high standard of roleplay.

I want to be very clear about what ive done to land me on the forums making another appeal. I’m not minimizing my role in breaking the rules. I understand that by not following the NLR I disrupted the roleplay experiences of others. I know my actions negatively impacted their enjoyment and for that I apologise. At the time of my ban I was too absorbed in the roleplay and acted without thinking. After being revived and placed on a bed at Pillbox I broke the rules by immediately re-entering the argument with the police just a few mins later even though I should have waited for thr 15 minute period as stated in the NLR G4.5 . I failed to respect the NLR by re-entering the same situation right after being revived. The situation escalated with the police, and I impulsively chose to fight and broke G4.5. I didn’t want to disrupt anyone’s roleplay but I realize now that my actions did exactly that. I understand that when I make these kinds of mistakes it affects the enjoyment of everyone involved and that is something I deeply regret.

Now during my time away from the server, I’ve taken a step back to reflect on my actions and their consequences. This has taught me the importance of respecting the rules and being a positive force in RPUK. ive learnt that rp is for everyone and I should not have a winning or selfish mentality and take a step back sometimes to look at the situation and make sure that I am creating an enjoyable situation. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that roleplay is a shared experience it’s not just about me and getting what I want from the situation. I now understand that my actions impact not just my character’s story. I want to be someone who contributes positively to the community by helping to create experiences that others can enjoy rather than making it worse.

I’ve come to understand that the rules are not just in place to punish players. They are essential for making sure everything on the server stays fair and balanced. The NLR exists to ensure that roleplay remains authentic and that players can enjoy their time on the server. By breaking the NLR I undermined and ruined the fairness of the game. NLR makes sure that a character’s death has meaning and prevents players from re-entering a combat sit immediately after being downed and creating a unfair environment. When I broke this rule by rejoining a conflict with the police right after being revived I caused unnecessary disruptions to the roleplay and made the situation unfair for everyone involved.

also by not following the rule I failed to roleplay the aftermath of my injuries in the proper way. I should have waited 15 minutes before re-entering the situation and even if someone forced me into combat I should still roleplay my injuries. Instead, I impulsively jumped back into a combat situation violating the rule. I now see how important it is to respect these rules for the sake of the games integrity. These rules exist to protect the roleplay experience for everyone and I understand now how breaking them not only affects me but also harms the experience for others. I am committed to respecting these rules going forward not just because I have to but because I understand why they matter.

I know that this is my third appeal and I fully understand how bad it looks. What I did before has caused me to seem untrust worthy and I take full responsibility for that. However I am asking for a chance to prove that I’ve changed and learned and am ready to respect the rules of the server. While away I have had time to reflect and understand the rules and why they are set the way they are. I’ve learned that roleplay isn’t about winning. I understand that trust is earned and I’m ready to do the work necessary to rebuild that trust. I’m committed to making things right and showing that I can follow the rules and have a good and positive impact to the server. I hope you can see my sincerity and give me the opportunity to prove that I’ve learned from my past mistakes.

Thank you for reading my appeal, Hopefully we can open a conversation and move forward.
Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

Hello @S|N

After reading your other two appeals, I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with how you conducted yourself, especially in the first. As @Jessie explained, I left a glowing review of your attitude and the fact it should be taken into consideration when dealing with your unban appeal. I don't appreciate my comments being thrown back at the Staff Teams face and quite frankly making me look silly.

Now moving onto the more positive side of this appeal, I'm glad you have put in another and this time with some serious improvement, not only with the effort put in but the understanding of the rule and why we have it and others in place.

I have a few concerns around your conduct on the server, however, this is your third permanent ban since joining the server, granted they are all for different things, but it doesn't paint a great picture of your time here with us,

I have three questions for you to answer please, if you wouldn't mind,

  1. What is the plan for your character if you get unbanned?
  2. How is your roleplay going to change if you are unbanned?
and most importantly,

3. Why should we be giving you, your third unban for this server?

Hi Hank,

I would like to apologise for my actions before. I didn`t intend to upset or make anyone look silly and I am truly sorry.

My plan for my character moving forward if I am unbanned is quite simple. I would like to keep Brian`s storyline moving forward if possible. Created my "Dodgy IT" (Hacking) expert through building connections and going with the flow. But I would also like to make a second character just for police RP if you check my profile I have attempted to join the police and ambulance teams a few times but I always end up in bother with the police in RP but I would like to really push myself to learn this side as ive seen the live streams and YT videos of RPUK police and they always having a laugh and providing some really good effort which I think I would benefit from.

My Roleplay would change to be more of a pacifist and try and talk my way out of situations because from what ive seen you can get yourself out of pretty much any situation using words instead of fighting because looking back at the best clips of RPUK the fighting is like 10% of what actually goes on.

I think I should be unbanned as I would like to create some solid storylines and really get involved the best I can. I know that I have the ability to help other players along their RP journeys and hope to help newer players as I know how it feels when you don`t know what to do as I didn`t join this server with friends either and made them along the way. I would also Like to take more of an active role across multiple characters instead of getting tunnell vision on just one class, I would like to create some excitement for everyone. Again Hank I am really sorry for making you feel upset in my previous appeals I didnt mean to offend anybody.

Hello @S|N

I hope you're well,

Thank you for your reply and I appreciate the apology,

I'm willing to give you ONE LAST GOLDEN CHANCE but there will be some conditions attached to this chance, due to your behaviour being linked to the criminal life and your admission yourself of wanting to join a legal profession but getting in trouble with the police prevents this.

  1. You are not to log on as Brian Lin for a period of 2 months from when your unbanned
  2. You MUST create and maintain a character within a legal profession (Police, NHS, G6, Solicitor, Park Ranger)
  3. Any ban within the 6 months following unban will result in you being back in this position
I must stress that if you find yourself back into this position again, it will be near damn impossible for you to return.

Once you have agreed to the above terms I can go ahead and process your unban.

Thank you,

Hi Hank,

I really appreciate your consideration on my appeal. I am over the moon.

I will not logon to Brian Lin for at least 2 months and I agree to maintain a Legal Character Most likely Police/NHS/Solicitor as these appeal the most. I will stay committed and follow these terms to the T.

Thank you,

Hello @S|N

Very well, I'll go ahead and issue you an unban, to be clear you MUST adhere to the conditions below, that you have already agreed to, otherwise you'll find yourself back on a permanent ban...
  1. You are NOT to log onto your character Brian Lin for a period of 2 months. You will be eligible to play Brian Lin again on 13th May 2025
  2. You MUST create and maintain a character within a legal profession (Police, NHS, G6, Solicitor, Park Ranger)
  3. Any ban within the 6 months following unban will result in you being back in this position.
I'll go ahead and unban you now, you'll be able to join the server straight away.

Please don't let me down.
