Server: GTA RP
Character Name: Brian Lin
Steam ID: 76561199103807564
Ban ID (just the numbers): 19085
Ban Reason: (G4.5) When you have been revived - Due to your injuries, you must not enter any combat situation until at least 15 minutes have passed.
Why do you think you were banned: I was banned because I failed to follow G4.5 and after being revived I engaged into a combat situation too early and did not RP my Injuries and breached my previous ban commitments.
Why should we unban you: Hi Staff Team,
This is my third appeal and I’m fully aware of my past mistakes. My actions have not only damaged my reputation but have also made it difficult for others to trust me within this community. This time I’m not just asking to return I want to show you how much I’ve reflected on my actions and I have learned from my mistakes and changed since I was banned. I regret not following the rules correctly and I would like to prove that I can follow the rules and contribute to the community and maintain a high standard of roleplay.
I want to be very clear about what ive done to land me on the forums making another appeal. I’m not minimizing my role in breaking the rules. I understand that by not following the NLR I disrupted the roleplay experiences of others. I know my actions negatively impacted their enjoyment and for that I apologise. At the time of my ban I was too absorbed in the roleplay and acted without thinking. After being revived and placed on a bed at Pillbox I broke the rules by immediately re-entering the argument with the police just a few mins later even though I should have waited for thr 15 minute period as stated in the NLR G4.5 . I failed to respect the NLR by re-entering the same situation right after being revived. The situation escalated with the police, and I impulsively chose to fight and broke G4.5. I didn’t want to disrupt anyone’s roleplay but I realize now that my actions did exactly that. I understand that when I make these kinds of mistakes it affects the enjoyment of everyone involved and that is something I deeply regret.
Now during my time away from the server, I’ve taken a step back to reflect on my actions and their consequences. This has taught me the importance of respecting the rules and being a positive force in RPUK. ive learnt that rp is for everyone and I should not have a winning or selfish mentality and take a step back sometimes to look at the situation and make sure that I am creating an enjoyable situation. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that roleplay is a shared experience it’s not just about me and getting what I want from the situation. I now understand that my actions impact not just my character’s story. I want to be someone who contributes positively to the community by helping to create experiences that others can enjoy rather than making it worse.
I’ve come to understand that the rules are not just in place to punish players. They are essential for making sure everything on the server stays fair and balanced. The NLR exists to ensure that roleplay remains authentic and that players can enjoy their time on the server. By breaking the NLR I undermined and ruined the fairness of the game. NLR makes sure that a character’s death has meaning and prevents players from re-entering a combat sit immediately after being downed and creating a unfair environment. When I broke this rule by rejoining a conflict with the police right after being revived I caused unnecessary disruptions to the roleplay and made the situation unfair for everyone involved.
also by not following the rule I failed to roleplay the aftermath of my injuries in the proper way. I should have waited 15 minutes before re-entering the situation and even if someone forced me into combat I should still roleplay my injuries. Instead, I impulsively jumped back into a combat situation violating the rule. I now see how important it is to respect these rules for the sake of the games integrity. These rules exist to protect the roleplay experience for everyone and I understand now how breaking them not only affects me but also harms the experience for others. I am committed to respecting these rules going forward not just because I have to but because I understand why they matter.
I know that this is my third appeal and I fully understand how bad it looks. What I did before has caused me to seem untrust worthy and I take full responsibility for that. However I am asking for a chance to prove that I’ve changed and learned and am ready to respect the rules of the server. While away I have had time to reflect and understand the rules and why they are set the way they are. I’ve learned that roleplay isn’t about winning. I understand that trust is earned and I’m ready to do the work necessary to rebuild that trust. I’m committed to making things right and showing that I can follow the rules and have a good and positive impact to the server. I hope you can see my sincerity and give me the opportunity to prove that I’ve learned from my past mistakes.
Thank you for reading my appeal, Hopefully we can open a conversation and move forward.
