Reason given for your ban: Character break/Talking about discord

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: Following taking a policeman hostage, police arrived on the scene, which an obscure location. This aroused alot of suspicion, i lost my head unfortunately and broke character and spoke about discord, as well as accusing someone of rule breaking, openly i believe accusing the police of being in discord. After talking to the police on discord it was found out the info was given by a former friend who rule broke in giving them the info since we killed and dumped him earlier that day meaning he should have no recollection of the matter. However, this doesnt warrant my reaction which was uncalled for and just not needed. In the ladt appeal i showed bad attitude towards the ban and was argumentative.

Why should we unban you ?: I fully understand the ban and realise my attitude was just childish and not needed at all. Ive took some time of RP and have came back with a fresher mindset and a better attitude. This was my first ban/warning and can easily say it wont happen again. It may have only been a month but alot has changed since then and my overall persona is more accomodating and calmer. ive accepted the ban from the get go and still accept it till this day, and i cant stress enough that no further rules will be broke.

I can see that you're kind of fresh to the server, which doesn't excuse the rule breaks that you've portrayed in this ban.

Morning mate, thanks for the reply. Well i personally joined the city with not too many intentions however met some people who were starting a satanic cult. I was very interested once the idea was explained to me. This idea was, we werent a gang, we were a religion. We wouldnt kill innocent people or gang members for little gains, we would simply go after the establishment for example police officers/lawyers/judges. We would 'purify' them of their sins as we told weazel news and show them the ways of satan in the hope they join us. We would hold private rituals within the occult but also invite gang leaders and members to witness the 'purification'. We put on alot of good events in my opinion, however the last one went bad. Along the way, we had ALOT of troubles with members deviating from the rules, Rough relationships with ceetain gangs because of their deviation as well as the police were stsrting to hone in on us and what we were doing. A reputation was building up on the account of our satanic masks we wore which had a colour coded system and importance to our everyday lives. We had alot of plans for the future, however not being on the server im not 100% sure of the state of group or if they even exist anymore.

It sounds like an interesting RP story, just wish you hadn't broke such a severe rule and you could've been continuing it.

(G1.6) Being In Character - What happens in Roleplay needs to stay within Roleplay. Do not bring in character issues outside of the game, likewise do not bring your real life issues with other players into the game. You ARE NOT your character and they ARE NOT you.

In my interpretation, this rules outlines the clear divide in playing a character and your own IRL life. For example, if you have a bad day IRL, but portray an always happy and outgoing individual in RP, you cant bring your bad day into your character because that isnt who your character is. The obviously works the other way also, do not take character issues to IRL life.

This is in place to make sure the RP is authentic and true to itself. As far as the character is concerned its and existance so he doesnt know otherwise. This rule could also be broadened out into stopping metagaming if its relevant to that situation. It just makes sure that the RP on the server is good RP, characters cant 100% have moods, however they just cant be affected by OOC experiences.

Going forth, i have recognised i absolutely took OOC experiences into RP, and this is easily preventable for me. I have looked upon the situation alot and realised it wasnt mature or authentic and i can only show and prove to yourselves it wont happen again. I will slow down, analyse situations and if its applicable take care of them OOC which is the right thing to do.

(C1.14) Threats to report / Disputes / Breaking RP in Voice - There are so many people on the server with all different points of view and disputes and disagreements are all part of the game, however please do not discuss them in-game also do not break RP in voice. For example, if someone has RDM’ed you discussing this on the server or saying “I am going to report you” is not allowed. Please use the forums or teamspeak to report or discuss only.

In my own words these two rules are synonymous with one and other, threats to report/breaking are breaking character in itself. However as i stated previously, if there is a dispute they should always be communicated through discord or OOC techniques whatever they may be. Bringing them into RP its not worth it or authentic to the RP experience.

This is in place to break up toxicity within the community, if this wasnt in place people would get extremely heated and have toxic altercations in character when if there is a situation it needs to be confronted OOC. it helps keep the community clean and the RP to the highest quality.

I risk repeating myself here, however i will never break this rules again, in my case these rules go hand in hand with eachother. I will see out every RP scenario with 100% authenticity to my character and if a situation occurs that seems 'fishy' i shall simple ask OOC for context. I wont break characxter in game or talk about disputes/bans etc.

What about the next time you want weapons from a Whitelisted Faction?

This was explained to me after the fact, I never originally knew this wasnt allowed which is why i went through with it. Ive never been the type of person to powergame at all. I now realise completely this is against the rules and there are others means of getting weapons through RP that dont involve wrongfully taken them from whitelisted factions. This was explained to me in the discord chat we had with the officers and an admin or two i believe where i said i never knew that wasnt allowed. My apologies for this, however this is something i have learnt from and definitely will not make that mistake again.

Who told you, that you could do it this way? You don't usually come up with that on your own?

Do you often let others persuade you on their opinion of the rules, rather than finding out about them by yourself?

In honest truth, i cant 100% say who told me that. There was a plan discussed before we did it obviously and that seemed like a good idea at that given time. In hindsight it was stupid and a rule break and therefore i was unaware of the repercussions.

No, absolutely not i read the rules before joining the server myself and understood them. Im not an easily impressionable person. However on this occasion i was ill informed. From this i now know the rule to the bones and can easily say i have learnt from the situation and know for future reference this isnt right.
