Why do you think you were banned: I was Banned for combat logging after being incapacitated
Why should we unban you: I believe i should be unbanned due to the ban occurring from rather misfortunate circumstances, to explain the situation i had been downed during a gunfight and shortly after being downed my game disconnected due to my internet crashing, I did attempt to join back the server multiple times over a period of around about 20 minutes however to no avail. As it was quite late and i had no idea when my internet would come back on i decided to go to bed as i had work in the morning hoping to sort out the situation the next day. However when i attempted to log on i was already banned, looking back it would have been in my best interest too have made a ticket within the discord to explain the situation to a staff member informing them of my situation so it could have been dealt with properly. I know the severity of combat logging and would not willingly do so to keep possession of ingame items.

The correct procedure would have been that after trying to connect to the server multiple times and it still not working i should have attempted to reach somebody who was involved in the shootout via the RPUK discord and tell them what had happened and why. If this was also to fail I should have then made a ticket with staff explaining the details of the ordeal, I would then wait upon staff instruction on how the situation could be swiftly and efficiently resolved.
 
When my internet had gone off i was preoccupied with attempting to resolve that issue as my main priority so much so that i had disregarded following the correct procedure. If a situation like this was ever to occur again i would firstly attempt to reach somebody involved in the situation OOC to let them know the details of what is happening so it can be resolved swiftly and without error.
 
Should you find yourself in this situation again, and didn't follow procedure, what do you think would be a reasonable response from the staff team?
 
I can assure you and the rest of the staff team this will not happen again, however if i was to find my self in this dire situation again a reasonable response from the staff team would be a permanent ban.
 
This isn't the first time you've had a connection issue and failed to reconnect to the server, is it?
 
This isnt the first time something like this has happened unfortunately, however the last instance similar to this was around 3 years ago if i am not mistaken and i believe even though that occasion also resulted in a ban majority of the issue was sorted in discord between me and the other party allowing for a smoother unban appeal process. However this doesn't excuse past mistakes and i apologize that this has reoccurred.
 
I'm going to be honest with you. Twice you've neglected the procedures in place, when these situations arise.

If I am to entertain an unban appeal from you, your character will receive an inventory wipe to replicate the death it should've had. And any further disconnects without following procedure, will land you with a minimum 6 month cooldown.
