Reason given for your ban: c1.2, c2.3, G2.4 & G4.4

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I had only been on the server a few times as I only played when my friend was on too, we finally saved enough money up to buy a gun after getting the gun, around 5 or 6 cars blocked us in and killed and tried to rob us this made me frustrated and I didn't cooperate and i used a racial slur in a moment of regrettable and unforgivable anger after all the time we spent working for the gun to have been wasted. after taking us to the docks i failed to both fear for my life and act my injuries. i also have a ban reason for combat logging but i explained to the admin that my pc had crashed and i was forced out of the game i logged straight back on and thankfully the people who were robbing us where still there. i am sorry for breaking the immersion for everyone that was involved i got annoyed but that is no excuse as i understand it makes it all less enjoyable for people trying to RP.

Why should we unban you ?: it was a very stupid thing for me to do and i am sorry for that, in the time that i have spent on the server i did role play and followed the rules never causing any previous issues. Also my friend still plays this server and i would like to play with them again. thank you for reading and considering my appeal.

That's a large bunch of rules you've managed to break within such a short period of time! You really haven't showed much intention of wanting to play on this server.

Before I get into the unban appeal as a whole, I would like you to be honest with me and tell me if you had actually bothered to read ANY of the server rules prior to playing on the server before your ban?

 
Hiya mate @Danoothanks for getting back so quick, I’ll be 100%, I did skim the rules when loading in but didn’t read them all so when I was in the server I didn’t know about things like acting injuries and fearing for life. 
And having played a few Gmod rp servers back in the day I assumed it would be the same stuff, but this server is a more immersive experience than those which I played before and I guess my ignorance get the better of me I am afraid.

And I do want to come back to it with a fresh start and fully read on the rule this time, as I said before it’s more immersive and I would like to play with my friend again, I just lost my head for a moment and I can only apologise for that.

The only thing I'm struggling to understand in this appeal, is why it has taken for you to receive a permanent ban to then want to read the server rules fully?
You had a chance to do this in the beginning so I'm not sure why you didn't do it then to prevent ending up here?

 
Hiya @Danoomate I had a good evening thank you for asking hope you are too.

Yes I didn’t read the rules fully so I ended up breaking a fair few that together got me the permanent ban, as I said before it was just plain ignorance.
 

When you say why has it taken a permanent ban for me to want to read the rules, when I was pulled by the admin I explained that I hadn’t read the rules properly and he just said that I should read them before making an appeal. I am not saying he was wrong to do so but I wasn’t given a warning or lighter sentence it was just a straight permanent ban and this was my first time dealing with any admin.

But now having read the rules I would like a chance to come back on the server and rp again.

  • Explain all the rules that you broke, in your own words

Hiya guys how are you going? @Danoo@Liam Sorry for the late reply I have been a bit busy I’m sure you understand.

The rules I broke as quoted from the rules page:

(G2.4) Value of Life - At all times you are to value your life, if you are clearly outnumbered or at an obvious disadvantage you should comply with demands.
 

G4.4) When you are downed:

  • You have been injured to the point that you have been incapacitated and you must roleplay your injuries. You have not yet been killed; this only occurs when you respawn.
  • When roleplaying your injuries, you must not make direct reference to the in-game respawn timer.



(C1.2)Discrimination - Do not express discriminatory or otherwise offensive views. This is no place for racism, religious hatred, ageism, sexism, homophobia, gender or disability discrimination. - Permanent ban.

(C2.3) Combat logging - Logging out at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).

G2.4 

Value for life is an essential rule on the server as it provides an atmosphere of realism to a lot of the situations in the server and its a crucial pillar under the real immersive role play which in which it holds high. So when you are to clear life threatening odds it is important to comply with the rules and remember that there are others on the server and that your behaviour effects their experience.

G4.4

A sort of extension on the previous rule but no less important. Much like the first rule this rule also exists to ensure the ability for the situations to play out in a good experience for everyone.

C1.2

Discrimination of all kinds is unacceptable the server and should always be dealt with accordingly. I’m not going to add anything else as was said before by you guys this is common sense.

C2.3

Combat logging is an unfair away to escape consequences in role play situations and is to allowed in any circumstance.

These rules above and all the others are laid down so that we can enjoy the server in the fun and realistic way in which that it was intended and it is very important to follow these rules as failure to do so not only ruins everyone’s experience but also wastes everyone’s time as they are removed from their role play scenarios.

I would like to touch on rule C1.2 that you had breached on the evening of your ban.
What I mainly want to know is... Why? Is the word you said a frequent thing that we're going to hear on the server from you?

Absolutely not, it was a serious lapse in my judgement and can only apologise for that and give you my word that it will not happen again.

Given that this is your first ban here within the community, I am willing to give you a second chance here and hopefully you can prove yourself to us.
For the amount of rules you've broken in one go, you've not exactly painted a good image of yourself to us so far.
When you return, I am hoping to see your win/loss mentality which made you annoyed at the situation disappear but instead for you to actually enjoy and get yourself involved with any roleplay scenario that you're taking part in.

Any ban you receive within the next 6 months will be a permanent and send you right back here, it'll be much harder to appeal again I can assure you.

Please do not waste this chance!
