Unban Appeal for NotDanny

In-game Name: William Rogers

Server: GTA RP

Steam ID: 76561198876984001

Ban ID: !!rpuk13225!!

Reason given for your ban: G2.9

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: For some reason I allowed myself to think that transferring £20k from my old PD character to my main was a good idea. I allowed a moment of stupidity get the best of me which cost my far more than it even would have gained. I allowed myself to break a rule for something so small that 5 min in the taxi would have gotten me.

Why should we unban you ?: This server is a place that I enjoy coming on and hanging out with my friends and getting ourselves into weird but fun experiences, somewhere that I have enjoyed playing since I first ever downloaded FiveM and it's not something I want to lose over one mistake that I made. A mistake I will knowingly admit I made, that's not something I will deny. I allowed myself to make one stupid decision without thinking of the consequences. I won't sit here and throw excuses like tired, drunk or anything like that, because that wouldn't be true. I made that mistake. I own it and I have learned from it.

In my time on the server I have only ever had to be talked to by staff once, and that was when I was new and didn't quite fully understand what was going on at the time (I basically telling someone what key to press to use third eye). Since then I have kept myself out of trouble and I have tried to provide fun experiences for others via RP. I enjoy the thrill the server provides in different aspects of the server.

If given the opportunity I would like to prove that this is a mistake that will never happen, ever again and I would take any punishment to prove it. Even if it meant a complete account reset, house, money, cars and all. I would like to use the opportunity to build a new life on FiveM and show that it was a one off mistake, done by a stupid guy who didn't think ahead of time or of what could possible come from this.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this.

Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

You're correct.

These bans do come with a complete deletion of all characters except one of your choice, but that one would be completely wiped.

Was it worth the 50k'ish?

I accept the terms and the fitting punishment that I deserve and I can absolutely state that no, it was not worth it. Sorry if this reply is a bit small, doing this on the phone while at work.

I apologise for even wasting your time due to a stupid mistake I made.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my appeal.

These types of bans come with the following:

  • Complete deletion of all characters except one
  • Complete wipe of all other characters except your chosen one

Do you agree?

Thanks for the reply.

Indeed i do agree to these terms. If this appeal is accepted then the one character I would want to keep but have wiped is William. It took me along time for me to not make him look like a potato when making him haha.

But yes. ultimately I do agree to the terms.

Cool, thanks for that. The wipe/deletion of your characters is pending.

Do the following:

  • Quote the rule(s) you broke, as they appear on the rules page
  • Explain them, in your own words
  • Explain why we have them
  • Explain with effort, as to why you did it. Not because you were transferring 20k from an old character to the other. What motivated you to do it, rather than just making money on the desired character

Rule I broke: G2.9 "Transferring money or items between your own characters is not allowed by any method."

This rule is here to stop people from moving money from one character to another. Not only does it keep the economy fair but it also stops other people from making a new character with a fresh start an instant millionaire which would be extremely unfair for other players as they have worked hard for their money which in turn also relates to another rule, rule G5.7 "Your character should have long term growth. Your character should not join our server on creation and instantly be a millionaire crime lord." The rule is also there to stop people easily being able to earn money with little effort, for example if someone makes a character, transfers the money and deletes them and then repeats the cycle giving them around 20k - 30k every few min.

This rule is here to keep the roleplay fun and fair for everyone in the server, the rule also keeps the economy stable and  fair for all players, it stops people from being able to make millions on (for example) their lawyer job and transfer the money to their criminal character and buy things that the character has not earned, like guns, drugs, cars or bikes. This rule is here to also ensure that all characters have their own experiences when moving up in the world, allowing them to grow. People shouldn't have an unfair advantage right from the get go as its not only unfair but unrealistic.

For some reason I decided to break this rule. I decided that after a few hours of doing some Taxi work that it would be alright to just move some money from an old PD character to my main character. How wrong I was. I made a stupid decision and did not even think of the consequences that could possible come my way. I decided that it wouldn't be an issue since it was a smaller amount, which is still extremely stupid for me to even conceive the thought. I simply wanted a break from earning money via Taxi and wanted to quick way to make a quick buck. Please learn from my example, and don't make a stupid mistake like I did, for £100 million or £1, you will get caught and its simply not worth it.

All in all as a wrap up on why I did it. I wanted to make a quick buck to finally buy something I had been saving up for, I wasn't far off the mark to being able to get it and I threw it all away for something that a small amount of extra Taxi work would have gotten me. As to why I didn't just do it with the character that I had already been saving up on, I don't know. I got complacent and made an idiotic way due to me thinking "This will be fine it's only  20k". I thought that it was an easy way to get the money that I needed quickly. Again how wrong I was.

Hopefully this is enough I tried to my best to explain it all but if it isn't good enough just let me know. Thanks for taking your time to read this.

The story of William Rogers

William was a pretty good kid, he would always keep out of trouble, make sure he kept his grades up and enjoyed hanging out with his friends on the weekends playing video games or hanging out in the local arcade trying to set a new high score on street fighter. William enjoyed his life and always thought it would be smooth sailing, that he would end up with a decent job, a house of his own he could call home and maybe even a wife. Not kids though, he hates kids, William thinks they are too messy and too time consuming to take care of.

William was always extremely close with his father, they bonded over their love of cars and bikes, or more specifically their love of fixing them up. Williams father was called Elliot. Elliot would always buy broke down cars and bikes, not in good enough shape to be road worthy but just alright enough to be possible to fix up. Elliot would show William how to fix them up, starting at the simple things like changing out the wheels all the way to completely replacing the engine. William picked up the skills his father thought extremely quickly, he loved to sit and watch his father and then try to replicate what his father had just done. He wouldn't give up until he did it just as perfectly as his father, sometimes spending days trying to replicate the more complicated things his father showed him.

Williams life was going well, he felt like he was always on a high in life, but what goes up must come down, and his life came crash down hard...

Williams mother was robbed on her way home from her sisters house, the robbery went wrong and she was shot in the spinal cord. This was an extremely tough time for William, seeing his mother who was once an idol to him reduced to someone in a critical state in the hospital room. A few nights later, Williams father received a call. The doctor explained they did everything they could but she had passed. Williams word came crashing, his father who he had always seen with a smile had a look of horror, rage, heartache and confusion.

Some time passes, William at this point had turned 18, he had an apprenticeship at a local mechanic shop and took up MMA. William liked to think he only took up MMA to be able to defend himself, but he knows that this was just so he had a way to take out his anger. His father no longer looked at him the same way, their last project, a motorbike sat collecting dust in the garage, only a few hours of work away from being finished.

Williams father, Elliot only got worse, they say time heals all wounds, but not this one, not for Elliot. He kept a rage deep inside his heart. He refused to talk to William like he use to. Their conversations were small and when William would reach out, Elliot would back away.

On his 19th Birthday, William went out to go see his father, he found a note on the table his father left. it read:

"William,

I am sorry for how I have pushed you away for all these years. I missed how we would spend nights fixing things up together, I miss how we use to be and it's my fault I pushed you away after we lost your mother. I am leaving to try and get some help, to try and move on with life and get back to my old self. I realised this isn't something I can do with you here. You look too much like her. I'm sorry William. When I am ready I will come look for you and maybe we can try to build a new life together and go back to how we were when you were just a kid."

William didn't take this well. After weeks of moping around he ended up losing his job and stop attending his MMA classes. William started to hang out with the wrong crowds, his old friends tried to warn him but William didn't listen. It went from intimidation all the way to selling drugs and even putting people in the hospital whenever they gave him the order. For a while William was their lapdog.

This changed when William got framed by another member and with the gang on him he had to run away. William had to run as far as he could. He booked the plane ticket and flew from his home country to go live with a family member in Sandy Shores. This is where Williams new life begins. Williams mission to build a life for himself that he can enjoy, that no one can take away begins. And this is something he will get done by any means possible, from going solo into the drug world to maybe even joining a gang that he can call family.

Williams goal in life is to have enough money to live a good life. Be respected enough so people know to leave him and his friends alone and find people he can call family and trust with his life. This may be difficult for William, but with his experiences with gangs; his skill in the world of mechanical work and the fighting ability he picked up from the year of doing MMA, he is ready for whatever needs to be done.
