Unban Appeal for MIKE SPIKE

In-game Name: mike spike

Server: GTA RP

Steam ID: 76561199183771666

Ban ID: C2.3

Reason given for your ban: combat logging

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: i had left the server when dead on the floor 30 times

Why should we unban you ?: You should consider unbanning me as over my one month cooldown period i have read the rules multiple times to roleplay.co.uk and played other serious roleplaying servers which has greatly improved my roleplay. I did not mean to break any ones character or scene when disconnecting dead on the floor but as far as i'm aware i never logged during a scene but i understand they might have came back for me as they might have plans for me or conducting a scene which they wanted me in this was selfish and i apologize if i ruined any ones scenes. The other times i combat logged was due to real life as when i'm dead on the floor i like to go do something else, i would keep my pc on when lying dead on the floor so a local can pick me up but i'm trying to save money on electric at the moment so i turn my pc off when i'm not using it this still doesn't defend my idiotic actions when i have logged off for a minuet and came right back into the city i have no excuse for this other than i never had bad intents to ruin rp.co.uk roleplaying experience and if i did ruin any ones roleplay i am very sorry. I have never broken a rule besides combat logging as i didn't read the rules properly and i must have skipped the combat logging section by mistake but i now understand how severe combat logging is and it will not happen again .

Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

Now it will be a further three. We will be going ahead and locking the appeal for 3 days due to you bumping your appeal.

As you can see overall we have a good amount of appeals to go though already. When it does come to appeals they are our lowest priority however once we have time we do respond to them. I would highly suggest you read over our appeals guidelines in our wiki (Linked below)

@MIKE SPIKE

Talk me through the situation that led to your ban in as much detail as possible. Why did you choose to log off whilst downed?

Well you see when i'm downed i rather go do something like help out the family member im currently caring for than wait for the 10-15 min timer to be done i would also like to add that i turn my pc when i come off to save electricity due to inflation. Sometimes it is a bit of anger like when you get rdm'd and die it can make me a bit annoyed as it is really annoying when im just trying to chill out and play the server so i decide to leave instead of playing in a bad mood as it leads to a negative roleplay experience for me and other people, these are the only reasons that i can remember that i have combat logged for. In the future i won't do this again i will wait for the timer to go down wake up at the hospital then leave.

Apologies for bumbing.

@MIKE SPIKE, this isnt what I asked you. I asked you to tell me about the situation that caused you to combat log in detail. So the events that led up to you being downed and you logging off in this particular situation

Oh sorry I miss read the question, I logged off up at poleto bay next to the ammunition and the church as I was part of the satanic cult and I had just got out of hospital after dying like 4 times about 10-20 minutes after coming out each time, I was annoyed after I had a baseball bat smashed around my head as I didn’t want to want to wait and go back to the hospital as it was very annoying so I decided to log off instead of going back but my friend convinced me to get back on about 5 minutes after which I was then pulled aside by 3 admins who ran me through what I had done and why I was in the wrong

No i think before i do most things but that day i did act on impulse and didn't think my actions through

So tell me, how do I know if we give you another chance, the next time you get angry or annoyed at a situation that the same thing wont happen?

Its roleplay, things wont always go your way, how can I be sure that you wont break more rules next time something doesnt go your way?

Roleplay.co.uk was my first roleplay server so i wasn't much experienced on pc roleplay but in the 1 month ban cooldown i read the rules multiple times and have played other servers and haven't combat logged on another server without a important reason as this ban has actually made me scared to combat log again or break any other serious roleplay rules, so i would definitely not do this again.

@MIKE SPIKE

without a important reason
What would you consider an important reason? If for instance you did need to urgently log off whilst downed what is the correct steps to take in this circumstance?

Quote me the rule you have broken, explain it in your own words and tell me why you think it is an important rule on the server.

I would consider walking my dog or caring for a family member my most important reasons.

I broke rule C2.3 which is were you log off the server whilst in a scene such as in a firefight, dead on the floor or in police custody and its a permanent ban . I think this rule is important as if someone abuses this it can be bad for the servers reputation as its a serious roleplay server combat logging can really mess up scenes and give people a negative roleplay experience.

Think you are misunderstanding the question asked by Siren @MIKE SPIKE

I'll rephrase it for you. Lets say you have an IRL emergency and you have to log off the server, What would you do in situations like this moving forth should we give you another opportunity?

As in this situation you simply logged off and in turn received the ban for combat logging.

oh yea got you if i was in a scene i would tell someone i have to go in head or mention the persons number in ooc and tell them "i cant carry on the scene i got to go". If i was dead on the floor i would put a message in ooc saying "i'm dead but i've got to go" give an estermated time for when i will be back and then log off .

Yes you should 100% give me another chance as i will never combat log combat log again and i have got some really good scenes planned out that me and my friend have come up with.

So you have mentioned the time Siren questioned to why you combat logged. How many times have you combat logged in total? (Just a rough idea) as this isn't the first time you've done this.

Furthermore, Can you explain why you have done this multiple times?
