Reason given for your ban: Combat Logging, Being in Character, Value Life , When you are downed in my case ( not roleplaying injuries)

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: Situation 2 - I was in a situation where i pulled up on someone outside the garage, I was then killed by someone else, from this situation I was put into a car and I never roleplayed my injuries correctly. I was driven down to the street doctor at the docks and instructed to put my hands up, my gun was already in my hand as I was injured with it in hand, one guy had a baseball bat and the other a tommy gun, I combat rolled backwards into the man holding the baseball bat shot the tommy gun holder and then finished the bat holder after. What I was doing was - not valuing life and - not roleplaying injuries. Straight after I had killed these two men I had ran away to the side of the docks and turned my game off, This was another rule break - Combat Logging

Situation 2 - I had been roleplaying robbing , we had robbed this guy up at the hippie caravans, he refused to hand over his stuff after a while of working out what to do (ooc but in city if that makes sense) he started to communicate through the /me and denying our requests which i thought was fail RP, he asked if he could fly out and back in to which i replied no as i thought he was trying to avoid the situatuion ( i realise this was wrong) , by this time we had enough and he was killed. I realise that we should have given the guy the benefit of the doubt and allowed him to fly out and back in to see if his problem was fixed.

Why should we unban you ?: I really enjoyed my time in the community and realise my mistakes. I want to return with a clean slate and start over again making better decisions and getting to know some different people.
I have re read the rules and I now understand that I need to be correct when going about every situation. I apologise that the last application was weak and for wasting your time this evening.

You state you have enjoyed your time in the community, but you broke 4 rules in the span of 1 RP interaction.

Surely, someone who wants to be here and enjoys themselves. Wouldn’t put them into a position where they’d get banned.

After reading your notes, it appears you were only sorry because you were caught. If you weren’t caught, I feel like you would’ve ruined other people’s roleplay by these rule breaks. So, I’m having a hard time contemplating why I should entertain this appeal.

Honestly Liam, I hold my hands up to my mistakes, I am new to RP and also to this community. If you seen it ok for me to come back I would prove myself to you and to the rest of the staff and show that I can be a good member of this community. I'm looking to make new connections and focus my time on different things if I'm allowed back.

(C2.3) Combat logging - Logging out at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to re-join the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).

Own Explanation: Combat logging is when you log out during roleplay interactions. This  causes other people roleplay to be incomplete and it also ruins situations and interactions on the server. This is never going to be acceptable regardless of what has happened in RP.

(G1.6) Being In Character - What happens in Roleplay needs to stay within Roleplay. Do not bring in character issues outside of the game, likewise do not bring your real life issues with other players into the game. You ARE NOT your character and they ARE NOT you.

Own Explanation: You need to stay roleplaying as the character you play at all times regardless of the situation or if you are talking to someone you know. Do not talk about what happens outside the server in city as that is breaking character.

(G2.4) Value of Life - At all times you are to value your life, if you are clearly outnumbered or at an obvious disadvantage you should comply with demands.

Own Explanation: It is important to value your life at all times, for example if someone has a gun pointed to your head and you are without a weapon you have to comply otherwise its seen as not valuing your life. This also ruins others interactions by making this mistake as its a crucial part of roleplay.

(G4.4) When you are downed:

• You have been injured to the point that you have been incapacitated and you must roleplay your injuries. You have not yet been killed; this only occurs when you respawn.
  
• When roleplaying your injuries, you must not make direct reference to the in-game respawn timer.
  

Own Explanation: If you have been injured during a situation, roleplay your injuries as necessary, such as if you have been shot and incapacitated  you need to go along with the situation, you have not been killed so this means if someone interacts with you then you have to respond.

A Scottish entrepreneur that's came to the city to start a new life from Scotland. He is looking to start working as a taxi driver and hopefully work his way into the the car sales business after. He plans to lead a different life from previous if he is banned, he plans to be a member of this community that people like and respect. With the hope that one day he can afford his house of dreams in the hills and have nice cars possibly a successful business.

When confronted by Staff, why did you lie about not knowing the rules then ultimately admitted it when caught in the lie..? How can we trust you, if you have lied prior?

Hello Liam,

The whole situation happened so quickly and under pressure I wasn't honest about my knowledge of rules. I realised I had made some mistakes and was desperate not to get in to trouble as I was new in the city. I realise it was wrong of me to state that I didn't know rules when confronted I should have been fully honest about my knowledge. I want to apologise again to the other people involved in this situation and also apologise to the staff who dealt with this, I understand I made the stupid mistake of lying, there is no excuse. All I can do is hold my hands up and promise that it won't happen again, I really do want to be a part of this community again and rebuild my name in a positive manner.
