Why do you think you were banned: Hi Staff,
Hope you’re doing well.

I was banned for not giving enough roleplay before attacking another player, which falls under G1.2: Attacking another player without engaging in any form of quality roleplay is considered RDM. I completely understand how serious this rule is and why it’s important to keep the roleplay fair and enjoyable for everyone.
Why should we unban you: This was honestly all my fault, and I realize now that I misread the situation. Earlier that day, I watched three members in the same gang as me get held at gunpoint by NSC. They were pulled out of their cars and taken away. I saw Courtney near one of my friend’s cars during the situation but didn’t step in because they all had guns and I wasn’t armed. After they left I took my friend’s car to the impound so it would be safe

Later, while I was at impound, I saw Courtney drive in with a local car. She went up to the impound guy so I got off my bike and approached her. I told her to put her hands up, but I accidentally swung my machete the first time. She ran, and I ended up attacking her. At the time, I thought KOS was still active because Frank, the leader of NSC had told us multiple times on the phone about it. Looking back I realize now that might’ve only applied to specific days and I misinterpreted the situation.

This whole thing was a mistake on my end. I didn’t intend to RDM anyone, but I can see now that I didn’t give enough roleplay in that moment. I’ve learned from this and thoroughly went through all the rules to make sure nothing like this ends up happening again and in the future, I’ll make sure to engage more and create proper roleplay before doing anything like that again.

The initial swing with the machete was genuinely a mistake. I had it equipped and when I tried to interact with Courtney I accidentally swung instead. I didn’t mean for that to happen, but I can completely understand how it looks like its intentional.I didn’t stop after that because I panicked in the heat of the moment, I was worried that if I stopped, she might call for backup or try to jump into her car and get away. With everything that had happened before this (seeing my gang members taken and the KOS calls from Frank) i just went with it which looking back at now was not smart for me to do.

I just want to reiterate in this response that I am sorry for my actions and I don't want to be in the forums again I hope this can be resolved and the staff team can trust me enough to let me back into the RPUK server, To answer your question if I was placed in this situation again I would try and be a bit more composed after the initial accidental swing of the machete I would've reiterated to the subject to put there hands up and comply with me. I feel like a lot of adrenaline was going through me in the moment and the accidental swing, I just got overloaded and just I thought in my head in that moment I've hit them now and they might return with a gun or a machete as well so I decided to follow through but in hindsight I should've been more composed and roleplayed it out.

You've mentioned here that essentially the rules you broke were due to adrenaline and being overloaded in the moment.
Essentially, how can I trust this won't happen again moving forward? Surely if I unban you then I'm running the risk of a repeat?
 
Hello, @Danoo Yes I am good thanks for asking.

I did mention that the mistake was partly due to adrenaline and being overloaded in the moment obviously this isn't an excuse for breaking rules and I am sorry for being in the forums making an unban appeal and wasting the time of staff.

I can guarantee you this will not happen again as I was in the Chippieones at this point in time and the mentality they had just wasn't good and I was under a lot of pressure at the time due to this.

My friends have already left the Chippieones and I will be doing that if i do get the chance to fly back into the city, Therefore this type of nonsense will not be happening from my part as now I've been banned it has given me a chance to reflect on these mistakes and know where to improve on.

To improve I will not get heated in the moment and make the server personal, The fight with NSC we were having was getting very toxic and just not enjoyable by both sides and I was taking the fight very serious which I shouldn't have as this is a roleplay server with hundreds of people on it and everyone is there to just have fun and enjoy the moment.

IF i was to be unbanned as I said before I can guarantee that I will not return to forums as I know from my friends experience this could come with a lengthy cooldown which I want to avoid as I do enjoy RPUK and so my friends and we like to have fun and play together within the server

I hope with this reply it can take me one step closer to being unbanned and allowing the staff to trust me again.
