Why do you think you were banned: G3.1 - Using out of character information to influence the course of roleplay is considered metagaming and punishable by a ban. This includes but is not limited to: Twitch Streams, forum information and Steam messages.
Why should we unban you: Now I said if I got banned from the report up I wouldn't be appealing anytime soon thus because I didn't think there was very much chance I would be banned, now the reports been dealt with and well its been dealt with wildly wrong, Jesse has very clearly misread the situation. Putting it out there before I start I don't give 2 shits if Jesse makes a mistake or any staff member for that matter everyone of use is doing it off your own back and Jesse wasn't obliged to write one word of response to the report against me let alone 3 paragraphs so I am a wee bit disappointed that my hand has been forced to do this in an almost "public way" this would never be my first protocol as opening a ticket was, but this where I'm directed to go so what will be will be.
Now Jesse has seen this situation as me telling grove via discord to come to bins, that being probably the pinnacle of metagaming, the on the tin definition of it, now this is not at all what happened and clearly Jesse has massively misunderstood the situation, which again is fine I'm going through uni the now and a lecturer will explain something and maybe it takes 2 or 3 times till a pick up what there putting down, so hopefully me putting my 2 cents in here will allow for an actually understanding.
So in-game just before the scenario, Kyle tells me he's away to grab some food at this point he undeafens in Discord, I then go to crack on with the bins as I know he will only be a few minutes at this point unaware he's undeafend on discord, I am also undefeand but oblivious to the fact I am and oblivious to the fact kyle is, as I have all discord users audios turned off as (this being as explained as in the chippys discord its mandatory to be in the IC channel when on and with multiple people joining and defeaning all the time the noise gets distracting so I turned it off. Also in that discord I stay of deafen encase anyone has any issue and to monitor that everyone else if following the discord rules) this causing me to be out the habit of deafening in the grove discord also because everyone else is deafend you come oblivious to whether your on or off. Now the next time I here kyle we are in a scenario so he's came back to his PC in the thick of the situation, meaning he's not had time to even think about discord, and the next words I here from him are towards Frank so I have no indication that he's speaking also via discord. The fight breaks out I go down, and my reaction to going down is kyle radio as he was outnumbered (for example if it was a 1v1 my reaction would've been kyle get him it was just my natural real life reaction to the gameplay) then when the adrenaline of the fight calmed I realised wait that's probably a worthwhile comm but by that point Kyle had already radiod so I just assumed as most people would've done it was also just his instinct to call back up and kyle just assumed that I gave the comm in game as I was right next to him. The entire situation played out with me in talking distance of kyle so I never had any suspicions, and was oblivious of what had happened until I seen the report that anything even occurred.
Edit - I just want to also add with the "tampering" of evidence I sent proof over to Frank of what happend to prove I didnt tamper anything showing him what actually occured this of which he acknowledged.
Now under normal circumstances I wouldn't be appealing any ban within the hours of it happening but in this occasion I have had to, This is a rule that me and other higher ups with chippys have been so up tight on maintaining and anyone of them can vouch for that as they probably hate how much ive yapped on about it. To be back here thinking about it isn't great but hopefully with that provided against the response Jesse has given, you can see its way way way different its almost like a completely different scenario Jesse has seen and hopefully that can be rectified. I want to round of again with reiterating, I hate that this is route I have been forced down I think Jesse should've been given a chance to rectify before this had to be public, additionally I don't care one bit about the mistake so long as its fixed which everyone deserves a chance to do.
