Why do you think you were banned: I was banned for using information gathered OOC, to influence my actions in game. I was given a few days to reflect and think about what situation has led to me landing this ban, so I spent a good amount of time looking through medal and seeing what we were doing and who was doing it in the last few weeks and from the last month the group of people banned have only been in game and in discord all together 1 time in the last month that being 17 days ago as of writing this. Now that day we had a couple of fights with ballas and 1 with the lost and not much else, but I have kind of deduced nothing was meta-gamed during the fights as no other players heard it and it took staff spectating us to pick it up, now I'm unsure what was said who said it and how we used it as something said in discord 17 days ago is just something I'm never going to remember, not at all denying it happened would just like some clarification on the exact scenario as ive widdled it down to an exact day and between us no one has a clue what it could've been.
Why should we unban you: I'm going to start by giving a bit of context to how this could've possible occurred, a good few of us chippieones are pals IRL we didn't just meet within RPUK and most games like this we just play together, meaning when were gaming although there is a chippieones discord were rarely in it due to this. There's 9 or so of us in our personal discord and not everyone plays RPUK maybe due to being banned or just having no interest in FiveM so when just chilling on the game most of us are of deafened speaking with people who are our pals. Usually in the case we end up in an RP scenario often something that happens randomly we will go on deafened and finish that scenario sometimes someone will say something in discord as that's natural instinct and someone will just say to radio it in or send it in groupie so that it isn't just coming straight from discord, clearly on this occasion for whatever reason this didn't happen and maybe if we can be made aware of the exact scenario we can provide further context but I thought id just include this to help get a better understanding of how this could've occurred.
Now I know ive been here far to often but I wouldn't want to be categorised as someone who "isn't here to roleplay" as I am ive been around for a few years and continue to return. I feel I know something that is defiantly contributing to these bans in some way, as you'll probably see I have 2 main characters Lee Sutherland and Kieffer More who over the last 6 months I have played very evenly and in that time Lee has had 0 bans and well Kieffer pushing 5 now its the same guy controlling both and there both doing the gang side of RP so its none of that, now Kieffer is done in a certain way that maybe rattles certain people, people maybe forget I'm playing a character and I believe this line of RP is contributing towards more reports against and more bans consequently. Now I'm not excusing my actions at the end of the day I'm in control of everything Kieffer says and does from the minute I load in to the minute I log off so don't see this as a way of me trying to cop out. Overall I make this point as something needs to change whether that painfully being stop playing the character, change how he RPs more laid back smarter criminal or just getting my shit together who knows just a few suggestions.
Right ive not really done much of "why should we unban you" instead I'm going to flip it to "why I want to be unbanned" along the same lines but for me more personal, the latter is mostly people just telling you what you want to hear and I'm not going to do that. So I'm going to tell you what gives me the motivation/what makes me wake up most morning or after work and decide to log onto RPUK outside of just having a bit of fun for my self with pals. As you probably know for the majority of time ive been here ive led a group/gang of some sort at the start the goal was yeah to be the biggest be the most powerful but that kind of changed for me a while back when I really grasped the influence doing something like having a gang has, going on to log in and seeing the gang discord has 10 or so people in it all completely random to each other but brought together because of the game gave me a sense of satisfaction it may not be the case for all but you don't know anyone's circumstances or live out of RP is like so you don't know if these calls this time away playing the server with these people is the highlight of someone's day so my motive changed from building a powerful gang to building a close group hence the reason some people still in chippieones have been in a spine from gangs 2+ years ago, a guess it felt like a responsibility to keep it going strong and well if I keep getting myself banned it'll be a responsibility I cant complete something I don't want to see to continue to happen as I'm not only letting myself down I very well could be letting others down.
There's no point of giving the customary oh this wont happen again, I promise I wont be back here ive said it 5 to many times one thing I can promise or re-assure is ill never be trying to get banned, never doing anything deliberate to be here, in sessions hours long lapse in judgment will happen but I will always have my effort focused on trying to avoid these bans.
