Server: GTA RP
Character Name: David Bing
Steam ID: 76561199065886266
Ban ID (just the numbers): 17396
Ban Reason: I was banned because of C2.3, which is where a player combat logs
Why do you think you were banned: I had kept my of turned on and logged into the server when I left the house for what I thought was going to be a few minutes whilst I grabbed my snooker cue from the local pub before it closed, when I came back after a few hours forgetting I was still in city and my pc was turned off and I didn’t think twice about it, came back on after a few days to find I was incapacitated so I raised a ticket, after I replied to the staff member of the post of the situation, they replied 24 hours after stating I had 12 hours to acknowledge the message that I won’t do this again but I was heavy into a gaming session and didn’t have my discord notifications on so I didn’t see it, and then I was banned for not acknowledging the message
Why should we unban you: It was a really stupid mistake I made, to this day I still don’t know if my brother I was living with did anything to mess with my character but I will take full responsibility for what has happened! I can reassure you that if I was unbanned, there would be no further rule breaks, I will take RPUK 100% serious and always log out if I was to leave the house for even a minute
Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

Good morning @Kez1 , I hope all is well! :D

Are you absolutely sure this is the truth? I ask this because if we for some reason discover that this is not the real story, your appeal will be declined.

You went down at 20:33, then logged out at 20:41. The times are a little bit coincidental, no?

Good morning,

Thankyou for replying!

On that evening I had left to go pick my snooker cue up and was supposed to be a few minutte job but I was there till late in the morning, and I know that when I’m not there my brother likes to go on my computer if I leave it on to play Elden Ring as he doesn’t have a PC or console of his own, so what’s more than likely happened is when I’ve left, he’s closed the game down and gone on that game or another!

Good afternoon @Kez1 , thanks for the response.

Why did you leave yourself on the server, knowing that you weren't going to be actively playing, if this truly is the case?

The pub I go to, to which I’m a member of as I play snooker and darts there regularly is next to my house, my intention was to quickly go round to get my cue and come back straight away and carry on RP’ing, but when I got there I got into a conversion with a few of the other members and forgot all about still being logged in, and I was there for a few hours playing snooker and talking to them, and obviously had a few drinks so I didn’t think twice when I got home that my pc was turned off and I wasn’t in the city anymore and didn’t log back in for another few days !

It was a stupid mistake to keep myself logged in, and I shouldn’t have done it! And I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience it’s caused to the staff that dealt with the ticket I created and also wasting your time for having to deal with this case when it shouldn’t have been done in the first place!

Good morning @Kez1 , thanks for the response.

During the start of this appeal, you stated: "when I came back after a few hours forgetting I was still in city and my pc was turned off and I didn’t think twice about it, came back on after a few days to find I was incapacitated so I raised a ticket"

Then later into the appeal you've stated: "I know that when I’m not there my brother likes to go on my computer if I leave it on to play Elden Ring as he doesn’t have a PC or console of his own, so what’s more than likely happened is when I’ve left, he’s closed the game down and gone on that game or another!"

Why didn't you say this at the start of the appeal?
The timings between you going down and logging out are 8 minutes - seems far too convenient to me.

When I mentioned that later on in the appeal, I was talking about what could have happened as I don’t actually know what happened, all I know is that I got up from my desk, grabbed my wallet and keys and headed straight to the pub to grab my cue and when I came back nothing was on

I do fully understand and appreciate how this does look!

Hello @Kez1 , thanks for the response.

Personally I'm not buying it. The timings are far too convenient.
Due to this, I will not be entertaining this appeal any further.
