Why do you think you were banned: From my understanding I was banned due to my connections with multiple characters of the same person in the community, in turn leading to a major suspicion of OOC influence and poor character separation as a result of that.
Why should we unban you: Firstly, hello and thank you to whoever handles this appeal and to those who were involved in my ticket, your time is always appreciated!

Having only recently returned to RPUK & gaming in general this is not where I expected to be, and honestly I'm disappointed & slightly disheartened in myself due to that! I also won't waste your time attempting to excuse any potential wrong-doings of my own as I believe I spoke enough on that in my ticket yesterday evening, if you'd like me to elaborate on anything I am absolutely more than happy to if need be. In saying that, what is clear to myself is that I messed up by allowing a friendship with someone ooc to unintentionally cause an effect on roleplay, this was a genuine mistake from me even with the safeguard measures put in place to prevent this - as a result this caused a clear problem of poor character separation from myself.

Why should you unban me? I truly believe that what happened here was an honest lapse of judgement on my part, combined with a build up of different stories spanning a long period of time with the different characters involved - this only further adds to the problem at hand. As such, if I am unbanned I can only make a heartfelt promise to the staff & community that I will do better, and ensure if a similar situation with someone begins to happen again that I find ways to avoid similar roleplay where possible and/or bring it to staffs awareness on immediate notice. I also intend to keep my OOC friendships with individuals strictly as far from RP as I can, as this can only cause a potential for these issues to arise again otherwise. Moving on, I truly believe that the roleplay standard which I bring to this community should be a clear reason as to why I should be allowed to return, I try my best to make things fun for others even when it's played a negative effect to my character. I put 100% into my roleplay stories and I hope that those who have experienced that alongside my characters would agree.

I sincerely apologize to both the staff & community for where I have went wrong in this situation and the problems which have arose as a result of it, I should have known better and also should have put more thought into what I was doing with the characters at the time. I am someone who will always take accountability for my own actions no matter how intentional or not they were, if I'm allowed to return to playing I will ensure this sort of problem does not happen again. If any staff who handle this have any questions I'd be glad to answer.

I've really enjoyed the last couple of weeks since returning and I hope that I'm given the chance to continue to RP again!

Now, there was already a very lengthy conversation in both tickets that were opened because of this. Now I want all cards on the table - How did you get in contact with those characters? I assume our take on it most likely not being entirely through ingame or coincidence is not completely off?

I’m very well thank you @Sammy, hope you are too!

As far as how I got in contact with the characters the only one I remember with 100% certainty was Viper, that was just from my roleplay which had already developed with Pablo and I was then introduced at some point during that.

Elvira I’m pretty sure was shortly after flying in at AE, I don’t recall that with complete certainty though. There was a vague idea thrown around in days/weeks prior that if the character was to be made there would be a very small form of history between them being distant friends from many years prior, but that was essentially just a baseline, roleplay was completely natural past that.

The other characters I’m not completely sure, if I had to guess I think Lillie was first introduced when Envy was a Park Ranger as she stopped him for a drug search, but I don’t believe I actually had any idea who she was till months on from that when she got introduced under a different alias whilst undercover. Katelyn was the first primary character I recall properly meeting as there was a picture of myself taken by someone on Charles’ balcony prompting her to find out who I was when I worked at AE still.

I must apologies if these aren’t 100% accurate as a lot of it was around 2 years ago now.

As far as the meta-gaming aspect, that isn’t correct to your assumptions and from my own perspective on it the only real aspect of that would be taking the friendship I had ooc & failing to differentiate that with the multiple characters in city which I can completely see and can certainly hold my hands up to. In hindsight I should’ve absolutely seen how a problem such as this could arise due to that. With the allegation of meta-gaming the characters meeting, it just didn’t happen - as much as I agree it does absolutely look suspicious with the one set of time stamps which I was shown in my ticket.
