In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.

I was banned because I killed someone without initiating role play. But then continued to dispute the ban and tried to bump it.

What have you been upto in the last 6 months+ ?

I have been working mostly and playing more relaxed games as have had little time to get invested into a game such as arma.

Why do you want to return ?

I want to return to give role play another go as I miss the community and being able to talk to players without having the toxicity you can find concerning most multiplayer game chats.

Why should we unban you ?

I was banned almost 2 years ago. I feel like I had been childish in the past as I was a teenager with something to prove. Whereas now I would like to return to the server although I am slightly embarrassed about how I spoke to and treated people in the past. And I hope for a second chance.

So before actually going into the contents of your ban I would like to quote something you said:

"I feel as though u used bumping out of its intended purpose. Bumping would be to repeatedly do it which I did not. I've been banned for 10 days because of yourteams terrible service even though I've had perfect excuses and I spoke to an admin prior to my ban which had told me that I would not be banned as it was resolved. I had just gone down ur page and found out that your the one staff member that is a dick and it turns out you are power hungry and abuse the hell out of your role. I have worked out that by the time I get back into the server I will probably have a full head of grey hair. Just for the other players in this community for future reference (because I seem to care unlike yourself). Don't criminalise the players on the server who are banned, they're kids behind a monitor that happened to be playing the game a bit wrong so please put yourself in their shoes  "

Regarding this I have a few questions:

  1. Why did you decide to use this language against a member of staff that was bothering to review your unban appeal?
  2. How can you ensure me that this won't happen again?

I decided to use this language because I was immature, there is no excuse for that sort of behaviour and all I can do is apologise. I can ensure this wont happen again as I have grown as a person over the 2 years and I can appreciate all staff that take time to assess that sort of behaviour and ensure their server does not contain any of it.

 
You were originally banned for RDM in this forum report. You knocked someone out and then shot them wtihout giving any RP. Can you quote me the rules that you broke explain to me how you broke them and explain why we have those rules on the server

(2.2) Random Deathmatch (also known as RDM) - Shooting at someone without engaging in any form of quality role play is considered RDM. (eg. Giving enough time for them to comply with your order. Count downs are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering shooting.) Punishment is a ban.

I broke the rule by not only knocking the guy out without initiating role play but I also shot him without saying a word. The rule is on the server to keep quality role play otherwise everyone would just kill people without interacting therefore it would not be a role play server.

 
I would point a gun at the at him and ask him to put his hands in the air , if he resisted then I would give another warning and if he didn’t comply after that then I would knock him out unless he was a threat and had no choice but to shoot him. If he complies with the first order then I would have robbed him with his hands up and this time make all of my instructions clear and receivable and would give enough time for him to respond.

 
Your ban was a very long time ago and I'm willing to give you a second chance however I want you to promise me a few things!

  1. Before joining you will read over all the server rules again and if you have a question you will come to the support rooms and ask.
  2. When speaking to a member of the community whether they are staff or not you will maintain a good attitude and language to them.
Can you promise this to me?

I promise I will read all of the rules and make my self familiar. I promise I will maintain a good language and attitude to all members of this community. I respect all staff for what they do and taking time out of their lives to support all of the players. Thank you for taking time to review my appeal.
