Why do you think you were banned: We spent a few days as a gang discussing after some help from Charles and Isak via a ticket that of which is much appreciated and we are thankful for the help as that help has in turn allowed us to identify our mishap, we widdled it down from the dates given and from the clips we have to the 30th where during a fight with ballas inside the casino 95% of clips you can hear the majority of the gang communicating via discord. We also in the time discussed ways of preventing this as pro-activeness is much better than promises very often we found ourselves in discord and trying to make sure we don't meta-game so hopefully with the new rules in place this worry will be no longer, the rule we've added into the gang discord will be shown below, You will probably also notice the proposal off a staff presences within the discord whom of which has access to the voice channels to further monitor how the rule is being enforced we understand we shouldn't have to be monitored to follow simple rules but the presence of staff just being there will hopefully further help in prevention we hope this is something that can be discussed between staff and leads of the gang. (This was typed out as a group during our calls and will be placed in the unban appeals of those appealing and will leave all members to "dispute" there involvement)
Why should we unban you: Hello to whoever is dealing with this report I hope you are well. Before I start I would like to take full responsibility for the rule break in question witch is meta gaming and i am not here to deny anything. I know this has been said many times before but this isn't excusable for any of the gang whatsoever never mind me and some other members that have been in the city for a considerable amount of time and i am well aware that we should be encouraging newer people to not only our gang but the city as a whole to produce the best RP possible as that is what this server is about, and breaking a rule like this doesn't reflect well on us as a group. Since I have been banned i have took it upon myself to take a break from not only RPUK but FiveM as a whole. I didn't want to put an appeal up straight after being banned as i felt it would be better for me to take the time to reflect and therefore help put this appeal up with the most effort and transparency possible.
To start with some of the members of the Chippiones including myself are friends IRL and most if not all of the time while in the city we would be in a discord call with friends some of witch have no interest in FiveM and are just there to chat while playing other games etc. We try our best to make sure we are on deafen when we are in the city and try keep conversations in discord fully separate, However I understand that this is not ideal we should refrain from being in a discord call while in the city even if they are not in the city.
When it comes to this ban it was very poor from us as a gang as we had previously been advised from staff after a situation with marabunta resulted in some bans being overturned with concerns of the use of discord to try avoid being in discord at all times to avoid a situation like this happening again. I will admit as a gang we didn't take this advice on board and thought we could continue to be in discord and just avoid any slipups like this which realistically was not possible and shows a real lack of responsibility from everyone involved.
As mentioned at the start this new rule of having a staff presence in our discord to prevent this from happening again. This from my point of view is very disappointing to see but I understand why it has had to happen and i am fully aware that it shouldn't have come to a point were this has to happen but unfortunately it has. I hope as group we can rejoin the city and rebuild the trust that we have understandably lost.
Speaking from my point of view I would never intentionally metagame and that is nothing but the truth, I feel there would be no real point of being in the city if you were going to intentionally metagame as it completely ruins the RP and doesn't allow anything to progress in a natural and realistic way. As for metagaming as a rule its self i completely understand why this rule is in place as i just said, and It also is unfair on others that are trying to RP and have their experience ruined by people that have an unfair advantage due to breaking the rules.
From a personal point of view these past 6 months or so have been very poor with multiple bans for myself that were silly and very avoidable, that is also part of the reason i have taken this little break and feel it has been good for me, hopefully if i am allowed back I can come back with a fresh mindset and i am ready to prove that i belong here no matter what path I take whether that's through a new character or continuing with the Chippiones.
