Unban Appeal for Cali1996

In-game Name: Denzel Riley

Server: GTA RP

Steam ID: 76561198118671465

Ban ID: !!rpuk8572!!

Reason given for your ban: Game error: Illegal Client after update

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: It's just gone 6:30am, I've tried to join the server after the new update after finishing the download of the update I notice OBS which is recording for me shows FiveM in another window and I can see "Illegal Client".
That's all it says, so I just restart FiveM thinking that potentially the update has just caused some kind of issue. Now I try again to join but I'm pleasantly met with a ban!

Why should we unban you ?: This is purely a game error, I've done nothing wrong. I don't know what else to write here.

Thanks, Cali.

Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

Yes

It's probably worth noting, whilst I was downloading an automatic new update for corsair RGB lighting in my PC, this is when I started FiveM and joined the server which then downloaded the update simutaneously alongside the iCue one. You can see my account ban and the update times match up. I have no idea if this is what could've caused an issue.

Thanks again, Cali.

Hello, I thought I'd comment back here with some more interesting information that I've come across.

So whilst I'm banned and out of the server I've been playing a lot of Apex Legends, I've noticed a lot of the time I keep getting kicked out of the game with a Anti-Cheat detection.

One of the things I've found which is rather interesting is that one of the main causes of this issue is related to computers RGB controllers.

"The LED lighting on your graphics card or motherboard is controlled by software like the ones mentioned in the second step. If there are LED lights on your rig, this is probably the cause of the error." - https://windowsreport.com/game-security-violation-detected/

After reading this I've decided to do some research on the corsair forums to see if I'm alone in this or not, which unsurprisingly, I'm not. It appears that iCue (My RGB controller actually interact with some games due to the functionality of RGB within games, example; Low HP flashes red.

As mentioned before, this RGB controller update that happened the same time I updated RPUK must be the root of this issue.

Thanks again, Cali.

@Cali1996Please tell me exactly what you were doing before you clicked on our server. Were you playing another server, started fivem and joined ours straight away, playing another game completely, started computer up for first time, etc...

Hi George.

I woke up, turned my PC on and signed into it, I setup my bodycam which is OBS. I then opened FiveM and when I opened it my menu tray said I had an update for iCue. So I started to download/install this update, whilst the update was installing as it was taking an unusually long amount of time so I joined RPUK server and it downloaded the most recent update.

Both RPUK and iCue was then downloading simutaneously. I hovered my mouse over OBS in the taskbar which brings up a small visable screen and I could see I couldn't get into the server. So when I checked FiveM properly It said Illegal Client.

I have no interest whatsoever to cheat in games, this is honestly a big misunderstanding.

Hello @Cali1996

Unfortunately we detected something has a VERY low chance of being a false flag. So as it stands, we simply cannot trust that you aren't using an illegal client.
