Reason given for your ban: C2.3

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: Hi,

I'm writing this appeal because I was banned for C2.3, which is a rule regarding combat-logging. I'm confused as to why I was banned for this reason; after a long interaction with the police after being arrested, I was eventually let free of my handcuffs, and released from the police station to go on my way; this is because the police stated that they had other things to attend to that did not involve me.

I took this opportunity to leave the police station, and disengage from any in-game scenarios, as I had other real life matters to do.

After about 10 minutes of just walking about and leaving the police to continue with their job - whatever that might have been - I decided that it was reasonable and safe to log-out and continue my gameplay at a later time.

As a result of this, I feel like a ban for combat-logging doesn't really apply to me in this situation, and I hope you can expand upon this and give me some insight as to what this is about.

Why should we unban you ?: After disengaging with the situation for a significant amount of time, and not interacting with anyone in the server after being released from custody, I decided to leave the server and not ensue any further scenarios. I believe combat-logging does not apply to my situation, as I was allowed to go on my way whilst the police dealt with other, more prevalent, situations.

I hope this explains my situation, and I hope that you can see my point of view.

I only connect to the server with my regular steam account and FiveM account - both of which are linked together.

Yes,

I'm staying in an apartment block. My friend lives here too and he also plays, but he hasn't played in a long time. 

The internet is shared across the building, so it might show some other people using the same ISP.

I definitely can, but I don't really see what relevance it has to my ban appeal. 

Like I said, I was playing on my own for the majority of the time I was on the server. I already provided my ban appeal ID and Steam ID; I don't see how anything else is relevant, especially my friends steam account - this ban appeal is for me.

The bottom line to this appeal is that I didn't combat log after my interaction with the police. I was released from custody, as the police had other matters to attend to, and then I logged out in a safe place with nobody around.

Hope that clears some things up. If you let me know why my friends steam account is required, I'll provide it.

I am not stating anywhere that you've combat logged.
You have been caught up in someone else's ban and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it so you can begin playing again, I am only trying to assist you.

 
That is my brothers account.

He was playing with me to begin with; we eventually split up after I was wounded and taken to the hospital.  He was engaged with some other people in a car chase, as he took one of their cars, but they took their car back. He decided to quit the game after that was all over - to the best of my knowledge.

I'm the only person with access to my account. My brother was playing with me at the same time as I was on the server.

We were playing together for some time, like I said, and then we separated towards the end when I was taken to hospital and later arrested.

I hope that clarifies whatever checks you have to do on your end.

I understand you may be the only one with access to your account.
What I am asking is, has your brother logged into his account on your machine at any point or vice versa? 

 
No, I am the only person with access to my account, my PC, and my details. I am the only one who uses my machine, etc.

His account is completely separate to mine, we were just playing the server at the same time.

Thank you for your patience throughout this appeal, it's much appreciated as I know this can be extremely frustrating. 

Can you and your brother join our Teamspeak  server at the same time so we can have a chat at some point and hopefully get this ban lifted? Our teamspeak server is: ts.roleplay.co.uk

Your ban has been lifted, and you should now be able to connect to the server again. If you have any issues, please feel free to open a Discord ticket and link this appeal.

It goes without saying, that if your brother is to be seen playing on your account you'll also be issued with a ban.
