Why do you think you were banned: I was banned for Rdvm and Exploiting
Why should we unban you: Hello staff, I Hope all is well.

I was banned for running a person over that where robbing my friend (RVDM) And I tried pushing that guy into the water USING my friends car which is classed as (EXPLOITING)

In the heat of the moment when i committed these 2 rulebreaks. I didn’t think running the guy over would be Random Vehicle Deathmatch as I didn’t think it wasn’t a random thing to do. I thought that them 2 robbing my friend was a valid enough roleplay reason for me to go and run him over which clearly wasn’t a valid reason now that I have ended up here. In that moment it was quite clear to me to run them over as I was the only one of my friends at the scene and I needed a fast action to buy kieffer time to hopefully fight off the second aggressor which I think kieffer did. So to me that wasn’t random as they clearly was robbing my friend with weapons. Second heat of the moment mistake I did was trying to push him into the water off the pier with a car. To me it didn’t seem as a rulebreak. I only thought that “If i where to dump someone over the pier IRL and he was to heavy, I would just push him in with my car” Which was my thought on it and didn’t really think much of it as a rulebreak. Now that I have deeply read through the rules. I can totally understand that I did something wrong here.

When it comes to the RVDM part I would of instead waited for backup and maybe surround these 2 aggressors, ziptie them and maybe do some torture roleplay or something like that, Because I do think the roleplay was a bit shitty for me to just run them over. When it comes to the exploiting part I would’ve done that part a bit better by just trying to put him in the passenger seat and then drive beside the edge of the pier and take him out the seat. instead of pushing him with the car. These 2 rulebreaks is a thing that i completely understand now that i actually sit back and reflect and think from his point of view ( that guy that reported me ) .

Since I have been banned I have sat back and really thought through on how I can avoid end up in these situations again. I have read through the rules more focused this time because this is a server I would deeply wanna continue playing on as It’s the server I enjoy roleplaying on the most and streaming on as well. If you guys where to give me another chance I would take a break from the gang life. Probably do some homeless roleplaying again. And just really focus on doing that until I feel confident enough to enter the gang life again to make sure I don’t repeat any of these rulebreaks.

For the RVDM, you have explained that now you believe this to be wrong but you haven't actually explained why what happened was wrong. Can you elaborate on this?

I would like to start by saying sorry for the late reply I’ve had a long busy day. Hope you are doing well though.

So the RVDM and Exploiting was both very similar due to the fact that it created a quick solution for me to “win” the scenario. When it comes to the RVDM part, I rammed over one of the two robbers that was robbing the leader of the gang I was apart of. And this created an obvious disadvantage for the guy that reported me as I rammed him without any prior RP which is terribly wrong. I wish I would’ve made the RP enjoyable for everyone instead of just quickly running him over to get the whole threatful situation over with. Ever since I’ve been banned I’ve been missing the server a lot and I’ve been inspired to focus on quality RP this time thanks to a YouTube channel that has uploaded RPUK Roleplay videos that I’ve been loving.

Afterwards I totally realize a real car wouldn’t move someone along in real life. I was too caught up with what would work when he refuses pick up and vehicle placement didn’t work due to the fact that the car didn’t have a boot. So the only left solution was to push him off the bridge which is bypassing intended animations. I deeply regret not being more patient when trying the “vehicle placement”.

I would guess that I had people on radio shouting at the same time when I tried to dump this guy over the pier. ( Since we where waiting for a gang to push our turf at the same time ) So the whole situation was quite stressful in general due to the fact that we where waiting for a gang to push our compound at the time.

This won’t happen again, I have had quite a long break from the server now due to me being banned which I believe is healthy for me to really understand the consequences of breaking rules.

If this was the other way round would you say it would have been fair? Would you have expected someone to do the same thing?

Let me put something to you, imaging being RDM'd in the same sort of way, you are they put in a boot and dumped but you don't know this as all you have to look at is a blank screen until you eventually bleed out. Does that sound like fun roleplay to you?

You are responsible for the roleplay that you provide, if this was the case why not turn the radio of, turn it down or change a freq for 30 seconds?

Thanks for the reply.

I think I got my character into a gang too quickly before familiarising myself more with the rules. I see majority of the reports I read are from gang related people and I think I got myself into something that I wasn’t mentally prepared for as it is a lot you need to think about when being in a stressful situation and to not rule break. If I where to get unbanned I wouldn’t jump into any gang for a good few months to make sure that I know what I’m allowed to do and what not. Even though I already feel confident about coming back into a gang because of me reading through a lot of reports and actually see how they get banned for certain thing . I will not join any gang soon because I don’t wanna take that risk again. I wanna keep doing what I enjoy streaming the most which is homeless Roleplay and such. So to answer your question with me being in my first gang I wanted to impress on the members of the gang. I didn’t value RP over winning. So at the time I can say that I valued winning over quality RP which I deeply regret now as It’s just not who I wanna be within the city.

If you are asking me if I where to be the robber that got Rvdm’d then I would’ve felt the exact same way as he does. I wouldn’t of expect someone to do what I did in a strict RP server like this.

Like I stated above I would’ve waited for backup, hands the robbers , zip tie them, take them somewhere and mainly question them what they want and who they are. Then depending on who they are and how they act I would’ve provided some torture RP and too find out the reason behind it and then released them.

The way I handled the situation was nowhere near acceptable now that I look back at it. It was without a doubt really worse Roleplay experience for them to be ran over, and dumped that quickly without any quality RP from my side. I am not happy with myself and if I could go back in time I would. It is not fun Roleplay and I don’t wanna be seen as the type of guy that doesn’t provide good Roleplay.

You are right about that , I could’ve turned the radio off or something for just a few seconds. I can’t tell you why I didn’t do that as this was a long time ago . I would guess I was afraid to miss valuable information about the current situation we had going with another gang we where beefing. But providing quality Roleplay goes above what’s best for the gang I’m in.

I have no interest of choosing “winning” over quality Roleplay anymore. As I realize how shitty the outcome was for me and the reporter in this incident , Not only have I reflected my behaviour for roughly 6 months. With me not being in a gang when I get back will most likely not put me back into a situation like that again ( Adrenaline pumping, Radio stress me out while trying to use game animations in a hostile situation ) And even if I where to be put back into a situation like this again, I know exactly what to do right this time . And I am more than happy to just hope I can prove it to you when I’m back into the city. I have read through the rules multiple times throughout my 6 months of being gone and I have read through multiple of reports and unban appeals and such. I will avoid getting into any situation like this again for a long time to really settle down without being in a gang. I wanna enjoy being within the city and happy with being unbanned and not just join a gang instantly and put myself into a situation like that again. This way I can assure this won’t happen again.

I am doing good and ever better thanks to your consistency of replies on my appeal which i am really grateful for haha. Hope you are doing great yourself.

Random Vehicle Deathmatch: So every player must provide roleplay before engaging in any form of “deathmatch” this is needed to create the ideal roleplay experience needed for a server like this. Without any prior quality roleplay it creates an awful experience for the ones being ran over without any prior roleplay. This rule is needed to make a realistic and fun interaction for players. It also ruins the experience for the victims of this rule break that’s actually trying to have legitimate roleplay scenarios. In real life, People don’t casually go run people over or crash into cars for fun. The rule ensures that any vehicle deathmatch needs proper context and roleplay build-up rather than just random chaos.

Exploiting: Exploiting fundamentally breaks the servers economy and fairness ( Depending on the specific exploit ) Lets say someone could duplicate money or guns for example. It would devalue the time and effort other players put into earning things legitimately. Using a vehicle to push someone removes the idea of the player of having a “chance” to accept or reject of being carried. In some cases pushing someone with a car makes the body move faster than you are made to. Obviously when you to ask to carry and you get a person onto your shoulder. It makes you walk slower and you cannot run. Exploiting like I did completely ruins the realisticness, Roleplay experience, Fairness, etc etc. it also shows disrespect towards the development of the server as a whole. In game mechanics are made to be used, So I should’ve used it.

Thank you for your responses, I am happy to give you a second chance on the server but this will not come easily. Due to the nature of your ban, if you exploit again you will be banned with very little if not no chance of ever returning. Exploiting is something we do not take lightly. Do not throw this chance back in my face.

Any bans within the next 6 months will bring you back here.
