In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
I was banned because of shooting and killing another player without first initiaing or any role-playing. It was a clear case RDM of which I am truly sorry for.

Why should we unban you ?
In the moments leading up to the RDM, me and a couple of mates had just captured the east rebel outpost and were "defending" it from another group. In reality we chased them out but they killed both my friends before leaving.
This left me a bit shaken as I was now alone and needed to leave before they show up again. I went back up to buy more ammo and other stuff, when I heard another vehicle getting closer. I finished buying and waiting for whoever was out there.
Suddenly and completely take me by shock, this guy runs up the stairs and onto the landing I was on. I saw red and sprayed bullets everywhere, completely forgetting my words/rp.
Once it was over I realised what I had done and the probable consequence of it. I logged out not long after and haven't been brave enough to play yet. This self imposed restriction of not playing is so unintentional and may be because of the guilt I have over the RDM. My mates still play while I have made excuses, but it is up to you guys to believe me when I say I apologise and know I'm in the wrong and ask to be forgiven so I can get back to the island.

If you were in the same situation again what would you do differently?

Hi Crumble, if i were in that situation again, I would shout out, on Direct Comms, when I heard the car in order to announce myself to them. I would ask them to come up one at a time with weapons holstered whilst i watched from the window hatches. Once they were done i would let them go, however if I had some backup arrive, I may plan an initiate in order to rob them of what they bought (on my own I probably would have no chance of getting out alive if they turned out not to be friendly, hence my initial panic).
