I was banned because i was intentionally running people over for no reason other than to satisfy my sick sense of humour

Why should we unban you ?
Because that was one year ago and all of my friends play Arma except for me because i was stupid enough to not take the game and its rules seriously.

So why would you take the rules serious now? its not like you have done in the past. How can we be sure you will do it in the future?

 
Because breaking the rules is literally the only thing that stops me from playing altis life with my friends. Breaking the rules would just be detrimental to my entertainment. I would take the rules seriously because if i do not take them seriously i will be banned and then not able to play with my friends which is what this whole application process is aiming to achieve.

 
Rule broken:

(2.1) Vehicle Deathmatch (also known as VDM) - Using any vehicle as a weapon (e.g running people over, causing explosions including while sling loading, ramming, etc), will result in you receiving a ban. Three vehicles are excluded from this, MRAPS (Ifrits, Hunters and Striders) can ram other MRAPS in order to disable them, yet not to kill the passengers. This is allowed as these vehicles are the only vehicles ingame that can withstand being rammed. Please note that you need to initiate roleplay before attempting to ram an MRAP. (Please note - MRAPS don't need to be initiated on in the redzone) This is to prevent random ramming on site. (Three minutes of chasing also constitutes initiation of MRAP and MRAP ramming).

Simply put VDM is the process of purposely running another player over or ramming another's vehicle or causing an explosion with intent to harm another player etc. 

It was completely immature of me to VDM and i understand why i have received punishment for it. 

I would like to ask a question though:

is there any instance in which VDM is okay other than those stated above? I assumed whilst appealing this ban that a player could be run down if the situation was role played properly otherwise players could just stand infront of someone's vehicle and leave the person unable to use their vehicle which could prove incredibly annoying.

If someone is standing in-front of your vehicle, then you don't drive them over. You find a different way out, or you get out and talk to them to either peacefully ask them to move, or to threaten them with violence etc.

If someone is running in-front of your car in a trollish manner, then you contact staff on teamspeak or submit a report.

Count downs are not considered quality roleplay, please at least attempt to create an interesting roleplay story before considering shooting.) is considered RDM. (Punishment is a ban).

Random Deathmatch  (RDM) is the act of shooting an individual without any basis to do so and without following the proper role playing protocols.

As much as i  would like to admit/own up (and get everything out of the way and hopefully resolved) to engaging in this act of RDM upon a member of the altis life uk community i can honestly say i have no memory of it. I will take the punishment however out of curiosity is there any way this video evidence could be made available to me as it is extremely rare that i engage in combat anyway in RP'ing games. I get the feeling i was punished for an act committed by another player in the area.

Actually forget that last comment. I think i remember the incident now. Me and 2 others were passing by and my friend told me to hold them up and when one started running i assumed they were both making a break for it especially seen as though my friend said they had a gun. Just spoken to one of my friends which is how i remember the incident. I will say that it must have been RDM but i think in all fairness it is a bit more 50/50 both parties fault for having one player run away im not sure what was expected of me.

 
I previously tried to appeal the ban however i was not sure how to do it and gave up. After recently going into the teamspeak server and asking for some advice on where to go i have found myself here appealing. I have also had an extremely busy year so not much time for arma or pc in general.

 
I believe i can bring an active, loyal member to the community who has previously been heavily involved in altis life servers role playing as a police officer. I will respect the rules and understand what happens to those who break them. It also means that a group of us will be on the server as my friends will play altis life again. Arma 3 is still one of my most played games after not touching it for a year. Altis life is something i love to do and would appreciate being able to join in the fun again providing i stick to the rules this time around. Last time i could not have been in the server for more than half an hour. I dont believe many people would go through an appeal process just to have 30 minutes of low level entertainment rather than the hours i already have just playing altis life the correct way.

 
Very well, consider this your second chance. Do not mess it up. As you already know, we're a serious RP community who take the rules seriously.
