In your own words, Please type why you think you was banned
I was banned because I killed somebody in Green Zone; which I did. However, there is more to the story than what the initial report stated ("I got out of my truck and he killed me") and I feel this changes the situation.

Why should we unban you.

Please (in detail) describe the incident

I went to put some money back at the ATM in the green zone and I got out and forgot to lock my truck, and he shot me, after that he took my truck to the chop chop and sold it.

My response:
Hi Jeff and anyone else involved.

In about 1.5 years of playing I have never been involved in a report, so I am not entirely certain how this works.
However, I would very much like to share my part of the story, since the description above is far from a detailed description.

After leaving his Truck Boxer unattended, I decided to lockpick Jeff's truck, full with copper, near the HM Treasury.
On the front seat of the Truck I found a business card of Jeff's copper wholesale business. This gave me the opportunity to text message Jeff about the possibility of making a deal to get his truck back.

I texted him to pay me 8000 pounds if he ever wants to see his truck and copper back. He responded with a counter offer of 5000 pounds. We then agreed upon a price of 6500 pounds.

He texted me that we should meet at Kavala Square (how he managed to travel within a few seconds from HM Treasury to Kavala Square remains a mystery).
After arriving there he walked towards the truck and first started locking / unlocking it rapidly. Then he flipped the truck a couple of times.
I drove away from him and yelled that he should pay me the money or I would drive off.

He finally agreed and ran to the ATM behind the government building. I met him there with his truck, waiting for my payment.
He paid me 4000 pounds and mumbled something, which (if I heard correctly) was him telling me he would pay the residual amount when I got out of the truck.

Being a fair guy, I decided to get out of the truck because I wanted to let him know I would not run off with his truck after paying me. Instead of paying me the 1500 pounds extra that we agreed upon, he jumps in the truck and tries to drive off. At this point I shoot on his truck. He text messages me: Stop or ban!

I try to find out where he is going and I see that he is driving his truck back to the ATM, where I am waiting for him and shooting him.

He tells me to come on Teamspeak and I login on teamspeak, after which he messages: ok you sold my truck, I report you, RDM = perma ban, have a nice day.
So far for solving it with me.

Being part of this community for a long time I understand killing anybody in the green zone is forbidden, but as part of the RP we were undertaking I felt I had no choice.

Hope for a response.

Kind regards,

Sonny Berg

@Neois it possible to backtrack those messages in our logs? There should be ingame messages exchanged between the two players, they should back up Sonny's story and should show that the reporter is not sharing the whole story.  That also goes for the Teamspeak message in which he basically threatened Sonny with a ban.

I feel very uncomfortable knowing there maybe a guy out there who got this gentleman banned on the wrong story. Unfortunately the banned player has no evidence, but having been here for a while, his story seems legit, as where the other sides story is very short and looks a lot like a story cut a few hundred pages short, just to achieve the goal of getting someone banned.

As to the ban itself: @Sonny BergI hope you realize that our GZ rules are strict. I know myself it is very hard not to act when someone breaks them to your disadvantage. But next time, refrain from shooting, capture evidence of his wrong doings and report him for it. I do not think you have ever been banned before, you seem to know the rules, yet you failed here. Can you explain to us why you did not abide by the GZ rules in this situation and explain how you would proceed next time?

Thanks for your support Khandamir/Paul Montana.

There are a couple of reasons I decided to shoot in the GZ:

First of all I did not think the other party (Jeff) would make an issue of us being in the Green Zone, as we were obviously roleplaying a 'criminal' negotiation. It just happened to be in the GZ because that's where an ATM was located.

Secondly, allthough this doesn't change the fact that it's a GZ; we were are at the space BEHIND the government building, this is just on the edge of GZ and outside of Kavala Square / crowded areas. Considering the situation we were in, and his sudden decision to drive off without paying me, I did not really see the area as a GZ right away and decided to act on the situation; not the location.

Naturally I would not handle the situation the same again. Next time I would not handle the payment of the truck INSIDE the Green Zone but outside. Nor would I shoot if something like this would occur again in GZ (even though I think this means the other party fails RP considerably). I now know how serious the GZ has to be taken :p
