In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.
It was explained to me by the admin that I was being banned for combat logging because I escaped from police, but I did not wait long enough in hiding before logging out.
Why should we unban you ?
I believe I should be unbanned because prior to this incident I had been engaging in role play with various police officers escaping and encountering them for around 20 minutes, I believe I provided an interesting experience for them, with them nearly catching me several times. After this I decided it was probably best to leave as I had been meaning to go for a while. However I was then interacted with and chased by several different police officers, which I had assumed at the time were same ones from before. I ran from them after asking a potential mayor to give me an escape lift in his truck, he drove us but crashed and I hid in a bush, pretty invisible from police officers. I watched two or three of them run past with no idea where I was. It was at this point I disconnected. I realise in retrospect that I should have waited longer, but in the heat of the moment and with myself needing to leave for a while I left thinking I had waited an adequate amount of time, later learning this was incorrect.
The admin made me aware of a 5 minute rule for police chases on foot, which previously I did not know about and provided this ban is lifted I will strongly abide by this. I now understand why this is in place as it will reduce situations where players are left wondering what happened to the suspect being searched for, wasting their time. In my situation I was not aware that this would be a consequence and I apologise for that. After logging out I thought I would quickly try to find the police officers in Kavala square to explain to them what had happened. The admin explained to me that I was wrong to do this and I should have contacted them instead straight away, once again I realise and accept this error on my part and will do this going forward as this will allow roleplay to flow better which is what this server's intention is to provide.
I would like to thank you for reading this appeal, I accept that what I did was the incorrect thing to do and with the admin's guidance I believe I will approach this situation very differently in the future going forward.
