The ban message doesn't actually say, but I believe it was RDM.

I was banned for RDM. Basically I was robbing people on a main road by blocking them with my car and then forcing them to get out so I could steal their money. A couple of times when I did this I didn't actually speak to them and just shot them with my pistol, giving them no chance to roleplay with me.

Why should we unban you ?
I've had a long break from Altis life servers (I believe I was banned almost a year ago), and mostly I've been playing on COOP servers. This has given me a lot of time to mature and learn to respect server rules. I understand that if I do rob people, I've also got to make it enjoyable for them as well as me. Things like RDM absolutely ruin the game for others and I definitely won't do it again.

What took you so long to appeal? Has your RP improved?

 
I've been mostly playing on COOP servers and a few American altis life servers. I wanted to come back here because most of the American servers lag for me and they didn't seem to take rp very seriously (there was a lot of metagaming involved with the police). 

I reckon my rp has definitely improved. I know in altis life it's about everyone having fun, so even if I chose to roleplay as a mugger or general criminal, I still need to make sure my victims have a fun time. Servers like these definitely aren't about accumulating money or loads of guns, but the rp that you go through to get them. This is something I've learnt from having a break from this server. I know it has been a long time, but I think I'm ready to come back.

The rule I believe I broke to be banned (as my ban message doesn't say anything) is RDMing.

I was robbing people along the highway. Essentially I was blocking it off with my car so when people got close I would threaten them with my gun to make them get out of their cars and drop to the ground. Understandably, a lot of people tried to swerve to avoid me or went offroad. This annoyed me so I just started opening up with bullets on them if I saw them driving off. Obviously this meant there had been no roleplay interaction between me and my intended victims, so when I killed them it was RDM.

But can you explain what RDM means on our server? What needs to happen to break that rule?

 
RDM is random death matching. In context of this and many other roleplay servers it means to kill people with there being no role play occurring between the shooter and victim. My ban is a prime example of this. I shot at people who I had made no attempt to speak to or roleplay with in the slightest. They were not given a chance to be taken prisoner by me or even try and talk/pay their way out. When doing highway robberies the victim needs to be given ample chance to comply with the shooter.
Without the RDM rules servers like this would needlessly devolve into death matches and roleplay would suffer greatly which I now understand.
